It's never a boring update! Love any updates you come up with: they're always of great pleasure. Funny how we can change duck bill valves and an AC unit, but the darn (unique size) microwave, not so much, lolol. Hope the doc appointment went well and, yeah... winterizing is around the corner... tree leaves are changing color, it's 'that' time. I'm getting a tune up now (new impellers, thermostats, wipers etc) on the Dancer in preparation for a 6-8 weeks long vacation going up the Rideau, Trent and into Georgian Bay in May before winterizing it mid-October: I'll re-watch your awsomeTrent-Severn videos again before I do. I'm hoping you'll feel the boating bug in the Spring, yet post other videos to share before then! :))
Yes, after our last little getaway (to Locks 42 + 43), plus our most recent overnight stay at the Port of Orillia, it has definitely got the 'boating bug' reignited in both of us. We received the end of season notices from our marina this week, with the boys starting to set the haul-out timbers on the docks in a little over two weeks, so 'that time' is rapidly approaching. For the first time in 25 years, I'm not super sad about the season ending. This year has been so very different for us, with minimal real boating, so not much to look back on. That said, we are looking forward to next season with a renewed outlook. I could keep going on, but I think I'll save that for a 'Year End Wrap-up' video ;-)
Us too. Pulling out this coming Wed. I will give this boating season a C at best. Not a great season up North here, Found it cool and crappy many days at a time, and lots of wind through the season.
Same here. The season started off the same and never really got going - and that was an explosion of extreme heat and humidity making it too uncomfortable to enjoy the boat. That said, we've got perfect conditions happening this week and we're gonna try to get away one more time!
Wow boogaboo didn't get to go many places this past boating season. So sad. I'm sure you and anchor girl are planning new adventures in the next year. Boogaboo is awesome though!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Kinda sad we are at this point in the season already. My boat is on a trailer, so I winterize mid-October. My son in law bought his first boat so I will be helping him this year too. Also have a camper to do too. Busy time of year.
Sad that we're already here, despite hardly using our boat this season. Definitely the least amount of time spent on or traveling with any of our boats ☹️
Our system has worked perfectly for the past 25 years, with the key in maintaining a clean and fresh smelling boat all year long. Besides, West Marine closed down all its Canadian locations a number of years ago...
I finished all the winterizing last weekend. Haulout probably happening this week, next week latest and Boogaboo will be hanging in the air till spring 🌼
Are your Grandkids old enough to learn to drive the boat yet? I could synchronize RPMs on a twin engine before I could read. Sounds like good times taking them out for a weekend and teaching them to drive and fish.
Our oldest is now 12 and she's done a bit of steering the boat on the lake, but that was only once, last summer. With our kids and the Kidlets living 3 hours away from us, they only get to the boat once or twice each season, so not much time for on water training...
Hello Paul, I hope everything went well with your doctor's appointment. We will be winterizing our boat in a few months, and I would like come Springtime for it to smell like you said nice and fresh when you first stepped on Boogaboo after a cold winter. What would you recommend. Thank you.

I am happy I live in Georgia where I can boat year round.
Nice! We just received our haulout notification from the marina they start lifting the boats in only three weeks 😟
It was a spectacular weekend. Hope you got out.
As I mentioned in this video, we went away with he kids for the weekend, so NO boating.
Spent the weekend taking everything off the boat for haul out on thursday. Sad part is this week and next may be the best of the summer.
We had the best weather of the year this past weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the boat, as we went away with the kids. But that's okay 🙂

I agree, june ,july very wet, August not too bad, pulled mine last wed

I pull out October 23rd. I am putting Jetlag into heated storage this winter so I want to go inside so I can come back out in the early spring.
Sounds like you're gonna be in the water the latest this season! I'd love heated storage, but nothing like that available anywhere close by to us...

We're looking forward to wherever we can manage to get to in '25!

during crazy temperatures and swings try using west marine boat dehumidifier we've used on for years simple and safe !

My boat was winterized on Oct 3rd and put into inside storage the next day, saddest day of the year 😥

What’s your thoughts on Canada’s transport Canada proposal of all recreational boaters required to wear pdfs while underway?
Perhaps for kids (under 12 ish), but us grown ups should be left to make those decisions on our own.

The only way to have a fresh smelling boat in the spring is to have it clean and fresh smelling all year long 🙂
Usually heat is the enemy of electronics, not cold, funny situation
I think it has more to do with the 25 years under its belt 😉
How much are you asking for the boat? Is it a 37 foot model?
Not for sale.
What are the total hours on the motors?
Just under 800 running hours on both main engines.
Hopeless season never got the boat in the water this season at all but that's UK weather 😒
That's gotta be rough.
yea, season's almost over. 2 more weeks for us until we go home for the winter. gonna miss it
Ya, we're probably only a couple of weeks as well. Hoping to get away one last time before then though!
