Love the back view with the boat's waves... sooooo peaceful and brings back those unforgetable unique (and nostalgic) memories: I could watch that for hours. Plus, the water does look so clear, and your glasses are perfectly reflective and showing the bow as you drive, bonus, lol. You both look like you're having the time of your lives... honest, brought emotions. "Boogaboo lives on." Amen. So looking forward to the second part already, greedy me, it adds to the quality of my life what can I say, lol.
This was a very refreshing getaway for us and made us return to looking forward to more boat trips next season. That feeling has been missing for awhile :-/
I meant to ask, you went for a black canvas for your boat. If I recall, this is the most popular selection and by default costs less. How do you feel about it years in? Good choice? Neutral colour? Is it hotter in the cockpit? Does dust or stain show more or less? Easy to clean? I’m putting money aside to have mine replaced in a few years.

Yes, the weather has been what we've been waiting for all season! This recent getaway was a last minute call and just what the Boating Doctor ordered. It's amazing how our change of pace and actually not being on the boat has changed our outlook, with this simple 24 hour getaway feeling really good and rejuvenating our spirits. Of course, we only have two more weekends before our marina starts doing their thing and we call it for another year. Oh well, there's always next year! 😁
Marketing or false advertising? Anyway, wonderfully quiet and peaceful spot for a little get away! Back in the day some of my favorite boating was in the fall, weather depending even during winter months!
I call it 'creative salesmanship' 😜 Yes, it was a pleasure to return to this spot after many years being away. The best part was that it was so quiet and not busy at all. Of course, the fantastic weather helped a lot as well. And getting us and the boat out in the open was a wonderful feeling! 😀
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Actually, it's not 100% "creative". Although, sailboats are not likely to be docked at the port, especially with sails up, there are many sailboats on Couch. There is a sailing club that has a regatta every Wednesday evening and not all are small.
It certainly has been! Last weekend we took all the Kids and little Kidlets away to everyone's favourite tourist trap at Niagara Falls and had a wonderful time, especially with the perfect weather conditions. Of course, we missed out on a fantastic boating weekend, but that's okay. Our marina has already begun emailing the notices for us to prepare for - in their words - the 'Dreaded H Word' that's coming soon. Oh well, after the completely upside down season we experienced this year, both Anchor Girl and I are perfectly fine with the season winding down and are looking forward to a renewed boating year in '25!
It could be. Or had already completed the Loop previously but kept the AGLCA burgee on their boat, as many do. Might even still prepping for next year and hasn't even left yet? As I say in the video, no point in speculation and I never had a chance to speak with the owners...
Amen to that. We did Kelly's Friday night and PIB Sat night. All done for the season on our big boat. We'll get out on our smaller bow rider till hopefully November.

We've been really happy with this one. After going through five previous Sea Rays, this one has been a really good fit for us.

They are my little buddies. And a lot cheaper to maintain 😉

Great trip! I have about 4 more weeks and Jetlag gets hauled out and tucked away for the winter.
