I agree. I say I got lucky that this phone came out at the time I needed a new one. So far one of the best purchase. And true that this series,if not 8, is the best opt from OnePlus so far with everything it has to offer.
I also have this phone the only downside after a few years of use is the screen burn in from the tabs at the top from the icons

True the 1+ 7 pro was their peak, they did okay with the 8 but I feel 7 era is slightly higher simply because of the price difference. After 1+ 8 they just went straight downhill. A truly sad time

@@autofocusphotos tbh if you really want it I'd say go for it. Just keep in mind it won't get any more software updates. The 8 pro can still last for a little while. It's better to move to better options like the pixel. I did buy the 8 pro after I made this comment for a little under £ 200 and I'm loving it too much that I barely use my 13 pro anymore. It's a really good phone

Software Support = Oneplus officially ended the support for the OP7 series, So you will not get any software updates from now on. (Jan 2023)
( I use custom ROMs as a daily driver on my device, so I'm not too worried about the software support)
If you get a good deal on a perfect condition device, I think you should take it.
This phone still stands up against flagships. Definitely my favorite android phone ever.

Just laggy when you use it for a week, returned mine. The build quality looks cheap. One thing about iPhone is they last for 4 years, I don't see this lasting that long.

It kills the battery anyways. 90 Hz is really not needed unless your gaming. I have a 144 Hz monitor on my desktop and they are useless when scrolling on Facebook or browsing.

3 to 4 years ago apple used to give best quality for high price but now it gives mediocre for high price. I was hoping for some innovation from apple this time but they failed with Iphone 11.
They are now just business not like past. The people who'll buy Iphone 11 is just because they have more money to spend and they can show it off for a while.
No need to take my word, the time will tell as apple's phone industry will fall if no innovation is done.

Looking back at this phone it was literally the best phone I ever used. I’m now using the iPhone 12 Pro Max and I really like it but I have to say the OnePlus 7 Pro was the best overall experience I had so far.

Update #2: Bought the OP7 Pro at launch. Still as good as new. Minor scratches on the screen, but nothing that's not from normal use. Camera is much better now, on par with most flagships. Pop up still works, uses it on a daily basis. Battery is still good, but it might have gotten a bit worse (now I get to 20-25% at the end of the day, before I used to get to 30-35%). Could be placebo. Would still recommend buying the OnePlus 7 Pro, especially if it's on sale.

2022 may and still going strong on this wonderful 1+7pro since 2019 year end. Love this phone as a whole package but probably my last 1+ phone.

Update on the water resistance this phone survived flying from my pocket off a boat into a lake 15 feet deep I dove in within 5 min grabbed it .

I dont mind galaxy phone with $1000. Because at lest they put everything in their phone. Heart beat sensor, foot step counter, tv remote, probably best display on the market, water cooling, Samsung pay, headphone jack, 100+ camera and software features........ At lest it justifies the cost.
On the other hand iPhone cost $1000 but doesnt really bring much to the table. They at lest used to have the best camera in the market. But pixel, and huawei does that better now.

TODAY IS AUG 19 2020, I am stilling using it and it works very well!
It's June 13th 2023 and I'm still rocking my OnePlus 7 Pro nebula blue! By far the best Mart phone I've ever owned I've had this phone for over 3 years still going strong even though I've dropped this phone at least over a hundred times in parking lots on gravel etc and also have had plenty of water exposure under under the water pool exposure and like I said still going strong still SUPER FAST! Oh and the motorized selfie still works just like brand new and still is fun to show to people/ at parties etc 😁
Once I heard 20 minutes is enough for a solid half charge, I'm completely sold.

I have the OP6t and the battery life is insane. The phone takes roughly 1 hour to fully charge and with that charge I get 1.5 days of usage at my rate. I normally finish a day with 40% charge left

Good review..I just bought this phone and I must say I am mighty impressed..miss the 3.5 mm Jack but Bluetooth headphones or earphones do the job anyway. The display though is to die for. I would recommend this phone to people who can afford it and live with it's very few shortcomings

Not quite sure why these companies didn't try doing more with these pop-up front cameras. Yeah from a durability standpoint I suppose it creates some issues but it just seems like such a good solution over them trying to push the camera under the display even to this day.
100% agree, under screen cameras kind of just straight up suck right now, I really think OnePlus should’ve stuck to the pop up camera. Like you said durability might be a concern, but plenty of people (including myself up until recently) have been using the 7 Pro for years with no issues, so I think the trade off is worth it. If the Redmagic 8 Pro had a pop up instead of a fuzzy under screen camera I’d probably have bought it tbh 🤷♀️
Durability is not an issue I have been using one plus 7 pro for 4 years now. Works flawlessly, never ever did I face any issue and I am pretty sure it will work for 2 more years
And I pretty much open selfie camera every day

Thanks for the review. Details helped me zero down on OnePlus 7 Pro as my android phone. Used it exclusively for 2 weeks and shifted to it as the primary phone, and relegated my iPhone XS as the secondary/ backup. Thanks again.

Plus slow on stocks in physical stores. Paid to reserve myself a mi9 in one of their stores, told to wait one month, and guess what? After a month no stocks still. Tho the money is refundable
