Baryonyx is my go-to multitool. Fast on land and in water, low maintanence and can take down anything its own size. I use them for hunting alpha megalodons, deep sea caches and pearl hunting.
I would have probably swapped the Mana for the Therizo, given it can harvest berries, thatch, wood, fiber, meat, hide and even a significantly high amount of metal off Tek creatures. Also pretty fast and an Apex predator and strong melee. Also, probably swap the Owl for the Argy for its abilities and saddle. Nice video as always dude
You do realize this is a top 10 video on most versatile creatures right? Not multiuse creatures. I don’t see the Therisinosaur jumping and dashing while swimming really fast and walking faster than a giga runs. Also argys are slower, less agile and versatile than snow owls and don’t have special abilities besides making some resources half the weight.

I'd probably put bary at around 8-10 they're great but they only really excell at caving. Bloodstalker would probably go to 3-1 cause they are just amazing in everyway (except when they are below half health) already talked about argys on another comment but basically they are great beginning-mid game but fall behind on late game they also are about as fast as a anky so keep that in mind

Used to be the best tame in the game. It's definitely a great tame It's just too slow to compare to most creatures nowadays, but if you put the speed aside it definitely is a top 10 dino.

The argy is great for it's healing buff and the ability to carry 2 creatures at once but I'd rather take a owl instead, im not saying the argy is bad but rather if it had more speed it would definitely be better then most others on this list
@@themfdon0308 isn't the owl on 1 map??? Argys are everywhere, you can transport, hunt, gather resources with them. You even get them early into the game, and it also isint slow as a turtle, with good amount of stamina its great to travel longs and medium distances.

I think the therezino is one of the most versatile dinosaurs. -Great at harvesting fiber, silk, rare flowers, rare mushrooms -Is pretty good at harvesting wood and thatch. -Can also gather berries with its bite attack. -just as deadly as rex and spino -Good choice for boss fights as it's stats rival that of the rex and spino. -Can knock players off of medium sized mounts
I find allos pretty useful, as they can go into a lot of caves, good for bosses, dont get stuck as often as the bigger dinos, and imo are on par with rexes. Always have em as a pack. Gotta play with some of these other dinos though :)
I personally like the format of overall basic abilities to the more nuisance abilities and things the games can do. I enjoy your content and keep up the great work
Well, now that Gen 2 released, I think that Astrodelphis goes to 1st and Maewing stays in 3rd or 4th. In singleplayer, when I transfered my char (who I beat all bosses in Alpha) to Gen 2, the first creature to tame was Maewing, has good weight, is fast as hell, is a portable dino care, swim really fast aswell. Then I tamed the ace of all aces, the Astrodelphis, who becomes the fastest creature in the game, and can shoot Grenades and Laser Beams, and well breed has a good amount of weight and a Huge HP, with this dude I travel the entire Gen 2 map in some seconds, ah and he can dive as well while in air and "flies" below water.
I transferred my reaper over to extinction and it’s amazing for traversal and it is my go-to for red drops in solo. It usually only goes down to half health for me, granted mine has 1000% damage and 60k health but yea
I’m okay with all of the damage nerfs for the Managarmr, but I still can’t get over is the mobility nerfs. It gimped my entire motivation to keep breeding my line back then. It was my favorite travel tame by far. Bear in mind that I’m saying this from a PvE perspective because I’d imagine that they were probably an enormous nuisance in PvP with such good mobility.
They're still my most favorite jack-of-all-trades for versatility dino, even after the nerfs. They're still strong enough to kill almost everything, and quickly, and fast mobility in all conditions. I use the dismount/stam regen trick to regain a little stam regen mobility, but man, the nerf was heart breaking.
I really like this format, plus all your videos. I think the drake comes in first for me just based off of taming the Reaper is such a pain. I also think it’s crazy that Cnidaria can stun a reaper.
The Reaper King is amazing for traversing the Extinction caves. It can jump all the ledges, and very little aggros on it--the rubble elementals are easily outrun, polar bears can be jumped over or killed, everything else sees it as an apex and ignores it. Those few apexes (rexes/megas) in the forest cave are easily killed with it. When you jump off the Reaper, you also land on its back, so no dangerous walking needed to shoot things etc. I cryo in a Reaper, run to the terminal, and then use it on the boss with my other waiting tames (depending on boss).
I agree on the magmasaur I once made a smelting base where i had about 20 magmasaurs smelting all my metal They produced like a thousand metal bars per minute if i filled them with raw metal

I would have put the new Shadowmane at n.o. 1 theyre insane in the water and jumping up way high in the air, going invisible and swift striking through every enemy in range :D

I'd give Reaper a lower spot on the list; if you come face to face with a cliff or mountain, which is common, you're going to have to trek around (unless it's jumpable) instead of being able to just climb it. And I'd probably replace the sarco with the bary. Just a couple thoughts tho
Bary is superior, it runs caves insanely well, it can jump, so it can clear the lava jump cave, it also fits in all caves except northwest hollow and the entrance of the snow cave
My top Dinos missing in this list: - Maewing. It's an easy tame early on, fast and tooks good care of your Babys when you have better Tames. - Bloodstalker. Never traveled so fast. - Baryonix. It is a great cavecrawler. - Argentavis. I think, no one plays without an Argy. It has a smithy and can carry all of your stuff. - Carcharo. If you can tame a good one, you can solo OBS easy. Plus, is is fast for it's size and an apex. - Shadowmane. I am paying on a Clusterserver and everyone travels with them. Because the're fast, can jump pretty good and they are stong. I use mine even for Bosses.
About the Spino, theyre basically mobile rexes that are faster, have a wider attack range and insane knockback, gets a attack boost and can turn 360 on the spot
love this list, the only change id make is knock the sarco off the list and put bloodstalker towards the top due to its automatic stance change when you pull out weaponry as well as the ability to get away from any danger wether it be land or air
The mantis deserves a place in here. Especially now that we can breed them for mutations and imprint them. They can use all wood, stone and metal tier melee tools and weapons. As such, an already very powerful creature can be made many times more powerful than its stats. The only weapon you can give a spino is a tek saddle. Give a mantis an ascendant sword and it'll SHRED through anything. The VERSITILITY of being able to use all of the melee weapons and tools up to the metal tier means it can harvest nearly any resource. From fiber to obsidian. If you can harvest it with a melee tool then you can give that tool to the mantis and it will harvest a LOT faster than you can.
If you have a deino pack and wanna move around with it, make sure to ride the highest level deino and when traversing/fighting, press c on ur keyboard/ r3/ right joystick on ur controller / on screen controller and u will have the pack bonus activated :) (i think its the same with ravager but xD havent used much rav packs) and they will be faster and deal MOAR bleed damage (the whole pack will!)! And for thylas, u can climb the air literally if u have some ping, but it MIGHT be annoying. Make sure to have a glider so that when u near the ground after falling u wanna not take fall damage :) they have a cute bite but a smol radius, so make sure to go close to ur target and bite it , and also its one of the best, if not THE BEST thing to harvest meat and hide with (amongst both creatures AND tools INCLUDING mantis) so have an argy nearby and u can do a lotta slotcaps as well in just a few hours. Glhf lads :D !!
Fun fact about fall damage in ark. If you on unofficial you can spam your inventory button when your falling to glide throughthe air. But when your on a dino and your falling just hop off at the last second and it won't take the initial fall damage. But when you jump off the dino whatever distance it has left to fall it will take the remaining damage. Thus why I said jump off at the very last second. I know the spam inventory doesn't work on official but I do believe the jump of dino glitch still works for official.
Your dino won't take fall damage if you jump off. Your character might, but creatures don't take fall damage unless it has a rider. If you jump off of something and then jump off the tame, it will take no fall damage no matter what
Crazy looking at the video title and not seeing a theri in here. they can do literally everything but fly. Boss fights harvest meat berries fiber wood thatch. protect well and have good weight and stam. definitely dream tame.
I've seen a couple of you're videos. I'm really suprised you haven't mentioned the gas bag. You can tame it at level 1, you don't need a saddle unless you want a passenger. It carries a mad amount of resources with a decent level gas bag you can get across the map in only a couple of jumps and it uses oxygen to fly instead of stamina. A good pilot can fly faster then a wyvern. Not to mention its a tank for pvp. Nothing better to drain turrets
I mean It can climb upside-down, it can move on water and it swims fast, you can get to one side of the map to the other really fast if you know how to use it, and you can do a supper jump then glide then do a in air jump towards a direction then glide again and do another jump and do it again (as long as you have stamina). Did I miss anything
I wouldn't have placed the reaper above the drake. Drakes are incredibly good mounts for egg stealing ever since they buffed the cloak ability. Additionally, I find its easier for taming things like snow owls to just sit on the back of one and tranq it until it starts to run, then net gunning it.
These are amazing! I am waiting for my game to update 68 gigabytes 🥺... I am using my Hotspot off my phone and have been using it for the past 4 years with GTA online. I can't wait to try out the new stuff and dinos on ark.
Allosaurus should be on the list, it can kill Alpha Brute Spino with ONLY 2 OF THEM, something you cannot even be done with 10 Rexes or Gigas unless they have insane stats
I got a giga yesterday, my first one ever. Saw 2 raptors, sent it in to kill them... They were BOTH alphas and killed the giga. Only noticed when the alpha notification came up, idk why I didn't see the alpha cloud. Feelsbadman.
In contradiction to what he said, you don't need a trap to get pregnant from a reaper. We were tired of the structures bugging it out so went out with drakes and several suits. just don't expect it to be easy.
I'm assuming this was before Shadowmane was released otherwise it 100% would have been in there. I can't remember the actual date of release but they are one of my favourite creatures to travel with.

Everybody sleeps on the Therizino. Why do people not use him more? He’s got apex status, he’s the chad harvester, he attacks twice (if you can manage his knockback), he the king of dodos, he an omnivore (great when hatching it’s eggs since you can gather berries quick instead of hunting down a Dino), he ain’t the fastest but holy shit is he versatile. Imo one of THE BEST mounts in the game.

Note for the future: Ravagers do not always cause their prey to despawn. Don't attack the giga in the highlands using ravagers again.

I think the ferox should be on this list because it can climb and stack jumps can do insane damage and can also protect you from the harsh weather.
Personally I think the blood stalker is one of the best versatile mounts but that's just me

Reapers are extremely easy to get even on official if you know what you are doing, the only hard part (to me) is finding a good level queen

About the Spino, theyre basically mobile rexes that are faster, have a wider attack range and insane knockback, gets a attack boost and can turn 360 on the spot
These are perfect for hit and run missions imma get the each squad mate some of these

love this list, the only change id make is knock the sarco off the list and put bloodstalker towards the top due to its automatic stance change when you pull out weaponry as well as the ability to get away from any danger wether it be land or air

The mantis deserves a place in here. Especially now that we can breed them for mutations and imprint them. They can use all wood, stone and metal tier melee tools and weapons. As such, an already very powerful creature can be made many times more powerful than its stats. The only weapon you can give a spino is a tek saddle. Give a mantis an ascendant sword and it'll SHRED through anything. The VERSITILITY of being able to use all of the melee weapons and tools up to the metal tier means it can harvest nearly any resource. From fiber to obsidian. If you can harvest it with a melee tool then you can give that tool to the mantis and it will harvest a LOT faster than you can.
I was only able to tame a Thylo on official and was unaware you can climb and pounce out of stance. 👍

About the spino…. It does more damage per hit and attacks faster in bipedal mode.
If you have a deino pack and wanna move around with it, make sure to ride the highest level deino and when traversing/fighting, press c on ur keyboard/ r3/ right joystick on ur controller / on screen controller and u will have the pack bonus activated :) (i think its the same with ravager but xD havent used much rav packs) and they will be faster and deal MOAR bleed damage (the whole pack will!)! And for thylas, u can climb the air literally if u have some ping, but it MIGHT be annoying. Make sure to have a glider so that when u near the ground after falling u wanna not take fall damage :) they have a cute bite but a smol radius, so make sure to go close to ur target and bite it , and also its one of the best, if not THE BEST thing to harvest meat and hide with (amongst both creatures AND tools INCLUDING mantis) so have an argy nearby and u can do a lotta slotcaps as well in just a few hours. Glhf lads :D !!

Fun fact about fall damage in ark. If you on unofficial you can spam your inventory button when your falling to glide throughthe air. But when your on a dino and your falling just hop off at the last second and it won't take the initial fall damage. But when you jump off the dino whatever distance it has left to fall it will take the remaining damage. Thus why I said jump off at the very last second. I know the spam inventory doesn't work on official but I do believe the jump of dino glitch still works for official.
Your dino won't take fall damage if you jump off. Your character might, but creatures don't take fall damage unless it has a rider. If you jump off of something and then jump off the tame, it will take no fall damage no matter what

Crazy looking at the video title and not seeing a theri in here. they can do literally everything but fly. Boss fights harvest meat berries fiber wood thatch. protect well and have good weight and stam. definitely dream tame.

I've seen a couple of you're videos. I'm really suprised you haven't mentioned the gas bag. You can tame it at level 1, you don't need a saddle unless you want a passenger. It carries a mad amount of resources with a decent level gas bag you can get across the map in only a couple of jumps and it uses oxygen to fly instead of stamina. A good pilot can fly faster then a wyvern. Not to mention its a tank for pvp. Nothing better to drain turrets

It's all movement not really versatile
I mean It can climb upside-down, it can move on water and it swims fast, you can get to one side of the map to the other really fast if you know how to use it, and you can do a supper jump then glide then do a in air jump towards a direction then glide again and do another jump and do it again (as long as you have stamina). Did I miss anything

I think baryonyx should be on the list. because its easy to tame and pretty good water+land mount

I wouldn't have placed the reaper above the drake. Drakes are incredibly good mounts for egg stealing ever since they buffed the cloak ability. Additionally, I find its easier for taming things like snow owls to just sit on the back of one and tranq it until it starts to run, then net gunning it.
These are amazing! I am waiting for my game to update 68 gigabytes 🥺... I am using my Hotspot off my phone and have been using it for the past 4 years with GTA online. I can't wait to try out the new stuff and dinos on ark.

I say for pve rock drake - pvp reaper. Reaper can also hide underground and pop out on pvp unless that was taken away.

Allosaurus should be on the list, it can kill Alpha Brute Spino with ONLY 2 OF THEM, something you cannot even be done with 10 Rexes or Gigas unless they have insane stats

I got a giga yesterday, my first one ever. Saw 2 raptors, sent it in to kill them... They were BOTH alphas and killed the giga. Only noticed when the alpha notification came up, idk why I didn't see the alpha cloud. Feelsbadman.
In contradiction to what he said, you don't need a trap to get pregnant from a reaper. We were tired of the structures bugging it out so went out with drakes and several suits. just don't expect it to be easy.

Ahem, manas are the best dino for traveling and a very good PvP dino. They are still incredibly strong and still a big part of the meta for PvP
I'd have to argue that, in my opinion the rock drake is slightly better for maneuvering
Everybody sleeps on the Therizino. Why do people not use him more? He’s got apex status, he’s the chad harvester, he attacks twice (if you can manage his knockback), he the king of dodos, he an omnivore (great when hatching it’s eggs since you can gather berries quick instead of hunting down a Dino), he ain’t the fastest but holy shit is he versatile. Imo one of THE BEST mounts in the game.
