No taxpayer dollars for NFL stadiums. It’s a business and business owners need to fund their own businesses.

Bro all do respect you showed us municipal stadium, yes the original home to the browns but not their current home ( actually on the same site) if the idiot owner at the time took the option to get involved with the gate way project ! We wouldn't have lost our browns and wouldn't be in this mess!

The only way the Cleveland Browns get to a Super Bowl is to build a stadium and host it. The current owners with never assemble a championship team.

Naw the only way the Browns can win or even get to a Super Bowl is to re-do their entire organization complete with a new and improved playbook. That old run and gun playbook obviously isn't working.

I have been a Browns fan all my life but I don't see myself rooting for a team with its headquarters in Berea and that plays its games in Brook Park. I certainly wouldn't expect any public funds to go towards this venture.

My pal sent a pic of him and his son from the game they attended last Sunday ….the last game they’ll go to…I left a long time ago….season tickets for 30 years plus and we get the Haslam debacle….CLE is always rebuilding something….We need a QB and a lot more…next we lose Garrett…he won’t be the only one to dump their season tickets this go around….CLE is in TROUBLE…The team and the city.

I can understand taxpayers putting money into stadiums, I also understand the arguments against it.
But, I don't understand why taxpayers would be helping to fund the surrounding mixed use areas. Those are the developments that are supposed to be the justification for the the taxpayer investment in the stadium.....not to be part of it.

Haslam can pay for it himself.
Or he can sell the team. We can actually build a team that wins games.
And we can actually bring a Super Bowl to Cleveland the right way.

A new stadium will not bring Cleveland a Superbowl..... putting a professional team on the field will....but they can only do that once out of every decade! The stadium is NOT the problem.....the owner and the team are...not to mention the head coach and the rest of this terrible coaching staff!

They’re only trying to get a Super Bowl played here…and it’s not even in CLEVELAND it’s Brookpark if it even happens and it’s feels like it will….that said, one Super Bowl ain’t saving this place.
The big wigs don’t care about the team or the fans, they care about that one or two big paydays they will get and the other money they will pay themselves off the top of all the loans they get for the build..

  • @JustVisiting

Owners need to pony up the money for a new stadium, whether it’s their own or privately raised. Taxpayers need to say no to providing money to billionaires.

Speak for yourself….as a lifelong Northeast Ohioan, this stadium will put a strain on tax payers in more ways than one; the cost, the traffic, the litter that will never be cleaned up in the neighborhood….its really not in CLE, but a suburb. I Know the area well, I’ve lived and worked here for 60 years…they messed up by not building the dome the last time they did this ….now a terrible owner….just get used to losing and deal with it…lifelong Browns fan here and we’ve had our chances…Haslam is killing whatever hope there was for the area…
