    Part twelve of a video series rebuilding a F23A1 Honda Accord engine.
    We are almost done! Torquing the flywheel, clutch alignment, pressure plate and mounting the transmission to the engine block.
    There are many ways to "skin the cat" and these are the methods that I use. Any criticisms or alternate methods posted in the comments are welcome, just keep it civil.

    That k series Subaru bolts back out because they torqued them instead of using an impact. They stated it in the videos too

      Not really shade. Just giving an example showing how taking shortcuts can come back and bite you.

    It will suck to put it back on in the car but you got that wire on the side of the motor that has to be screwed in or rewired I would put the intake in in the car

    What flywheel bolts fit on the f23, I’m making mine 5speed. Can I use h22 Manual flywheel bolts

    • @ktecgarage
      @ktecgarage  Год назад

      Not sure. The flex plate bolts might work if it's the same thickness of your flywheel.

    Is this engine the same as 94 Accord?

    • @ktecgarage
      @ktecgarage  2 года назад

      It's very similar but I'd suggest you get a shop manual to if your going to tackle this. Good luck!

    • @ktecgarage
      @ktecgarage  4 года назад +1

      I dont have a part number for you, but it is the 5 speed manual that came with the 1998-2002 Accord.

      @@ktecgarage You are lucky to have the 5 speed manual most of them like mine came with the BAXA 4 speed automatic transmission which isn't the most reliable in the world although mine has not given me any trouble in 126,000 miles.
