@@ResonatorProductions Nice! Yeah it was weird but I wouldn’t say it really caused any issues for concern. In most ways, couldn’t tell it had a lower bit rate, even verses the other action cams with a higher one. My guess is the 4NM chip works in a different way to whatever they previously used. But, having said that, higher bitrate is welcome for faster moving environments. No pressure but I got some links down there if you want. 🙂
*I love My Action5, I had the 4 but I like the ability to use (2) Mics on One device and in Low Light I think the 5 fairs better then the 4 in that department*
@@BlackapinoTheTechGuy Absolutely.. low light looks like a good improvement and its convenient being able to switch the Mic2 kit on and it just connects and works.
Great video Steve updated mine the other day not had a chance to get out and use it. But i think its going to be a awesome camera keep up the good work 👏🎥👍
I love dji and have had the original and the 3 , but £350 for a 'pro' camera that requires a pretty comprehensive technical settings knowledge, and a necessity for correcting footage in post to get useable watchable footage in 2024😆 Thats before the waves of obviously now required firmwares. This ( now yearly release race) pro wasnt well thought out imo, or ready at launch. I will probably head for the 4.
@@SunriseWaterMedia I can’t compare directly, only seeing other people’s comparisons, but it looks better in some ways. Like trickier dynamic range situations seemed to show an improvement, for the most part.
@@LowryDroneography-Steve Same here. We haven't bought the 4, but seeing some comparisons over the last couple of weeks seems to show the over exposed shadows / HDR esthetic, and lack of detail in certain situations (like pavement), but all that can change with updates.
@@SunriseWaterMedia Ah yeah, mostly the normal colour profile with some extra sharpening and HDR look. I think I only used that once in one bit of the first video. Not really gone outside of D-Log M otherwise. Not spent too long on grading it either yet, just quick jobs, need to mess with it some more.
@@glasgowharleyrider It kinda was. People were flapping about the bitrate thing but it was already great, which I presume is because of the new chip. Couldn’t really tell the difference so far, since the update.
I’m pleased they have updated the firmware to remedy those obvious issues. I think I may have to pull the trigger and purchase one now 👍

@@jimthorleydronefootage Cheers Jim! Yeah its pretty sweet 👌🏼 can’t wait to get another FPV drone to stick it on but can’t for a while 🙁. Enjoy it!

Nice work mate i might be getting one of these im well due an upgrade to my cheap cam looking forward to using it nice review
Cheers bud! It’s a good shout. They’ve not only caught up with certain other action cams, but now exceeded some abilities. 🙌
Glad to hear that they are updating firmware. Maybe it will start looking better than the Action 4.
