*_Can anyone recommend a good acrylic finish for this?_* He used some acrylic silver or pewter for this at 23:43. But I think the Mandalorian in Episode 1 had more of a Chrome finish in his first helmet version. Any thoughts? This guy used Alclad II Chrome at 9:20: ruclips.net/video/MyESt-OLcdw/видео.html .
@@ricosuave4275 I’ve been experimenting with different shades of Angelus leather paints with different color basecoats, you might want to look in that direction.
What a wonderful build! Thank you! Putting together a Sith costume and this is perfect for that armored look! Not the first piece of armor I've bought and not the last! Thank you Prince Armory! Keep up the great work!
I know this is an older video but it looks amazing I'm praising you for not pushing the sponsor down our throats because I've noticed Weaver does not go for the hard sell, even on their channel they mention that the equipment and materials can be purchased from them but they don't go for the hard sell and I really appreciate that just about as much as I appreciate your skill and willingness to create these designs and share the building process. Thank you for the education and all the best from Scotland. I do hope you see this comment as it's genuine.
Weaver customer support is excellent. When researching, then shopping for my first leather to make armor, I went to the warehouse in Berlin, Ohio. Kevin showed me around and then called Chuck Dorsett (who does the Weaver tutorials on RUclips) in Atlanta to get specific information for me. Chuck later answered emails from me with specific questions.
Alclad Aqua Gloss is the best I have found to seal and protect the liquid chrome. Thanks to a combination of Adam Savage and punished props academy. Love your work so much! Keep up the beautiful work!
Always happy to see a new video and always willing to learn from them. This channel inspired me to start learning and I just finished my first piece with the tools I got for christmas. Thanks Prince Armory for giving me a crafting hobby that isn't about 1k to start up properly.
I want to thank you so much for doing this. I bought the pattern and I have watched this tutorial numerous times. I made the first one for my teenage son. His friends are major jealous and I can tell there will be more coming.
Can you add a link to that battery powered airbrush? I know it's not really a pro tool, but I need something for quick jobs that's more portable and quieter than an air compressor setup.
This will be something i try! Your videos have inspired me to take up leather craft because you make it look so easy, and fun. And as a huge SW and Mandalorean fan, i will pay for this template download. I love your channel, and i want to see it continue to thrive and if paying 10 or 20 bucks for a template helps to keep it going, im happy to do it. Thanks for doing what you do and i cant wait for the next.
With thst stain do you still have to buff off the excess prior to sealing? I remember using USMC Black and man that would take forever to buff off the excess.
the finished product looks amazing. i can't help but think about how nice a conventional set of armor (like a 16th century knight) would look with these airbrush techniques. keep it up!
amazing and will be picking this up soon. On the finish wouldn't some rattle can chrome and a clear. to make it super shiny. im looking forward to using these in the future :D
@@Princearmory holy shit...who can spend so much money for this forming tool set ??? we need useful tipps for ordinary leathercrafters with less money. your videos are great but your recommendations are not helpful sometimes.
Merveilleux travail, comme d'habitude. Mais j'avoue être très impatiente de voir sur cette chaîne la partie finale qui traite du heaume du dragon. En Europe, la quatrième partie n'a jamais été mis en ligne !
Guys this is awesome, give a little extra because it’s worth it. Question for P.A.: any place I can get a round planishing stake on a budget? I’ve tried all by hand but still can’t get the curve. Or any other recommendations. Thanks again for this awesome piece!!!!
Hi I just purchased your pattern and wanted to get an idea as to what scaling you put into the printer to get that size pattern? I’m trying not to go through too much paper and ink. Thank you in advanced!
I think the first vid I watched of yours was that red fantasy helmet I see you have been working up to a full set. I saw your Scale mail vid just yesterday. I wish I had 1/10 your skill and vision. A lass I'm just a Lazy Old Gamer(LOG).
There is a clearcoat made by Alclad that works really well in protecting the Chrome finish. Although it´s made for their own (quite finnicky) chrome paint it does work for Molotow too
I've been dissecting all the tools used in these videos, and I think that hammer is a Fretz hammer, but I don't know their product line good enough to identify which one? I was going to buy a Jeremiah Watt brand hammer but these are cheaper and more unique looking. Mind sharing which kind it is?

2nd that
There is another video that shows how to make the body armor from metal.

*Nods approvingly in Mandalorian*
I'm always amazed at how you manage to shape and form the leather to make pretty much anything. Blows my mind!

fastest click ever, will edit for thoughts but thanks in advance for this!!

Great pacing, great content, great music. Really enjoyed this one.
Very cool project.
Thanks for sharing
amazing love all of your videos man.
I'm geeking out harder than a 13 year old Japanese fan girl in star wars anime convention standing next to mark hammill
I have spoken!
That's an oddly specific statement

Dude, That's Just F#@kin' AWESOME, True mastery.
Very nice man 🤘
A video tutorial on wet molding would be amazing!
Awesome
Truly amazing 👍
This looks awesome, but I think I almost like it more with just the black dye! Darth Mando!
Looks fantastic!!
I love this so much
I'm so excited I just ordered some beginners tools 😊🖤
Just one word AWESOME!

Incredible!
Not a starwars fan, but that looks aweseom.
Absolutely Love this helmet. Great job.
I watch your videos for your creative ideas and general construction principles which I then apply to EVA foam for cosplay outfit creations.

Awesome work as always !!!
This is really cool thank you for the hard work and this post
Very Nice! Thanks for the video.
Very cool build. If I remember correctly, the Molotow marker refills are lacquer based, so it should be fairly durable.
Amazing
Thank You brother. Was starting to worry you didn't have any more for me lol. Love your vids.
this is awesome -- like Pepakura on steroids!
6:22 Yes please and thank you 😊
Awesome!
😱Fantástico!!!👌 👏👏👏👏👏
Loved the video! Would love to see a Darth Revan mask build!
Awesome video. Would really like to see a video on making the rest of the Mandalorian's armor.

That was awesome
The black looked the best to me I want that pattern, will I to make the leather pattern larger if I put foam inside like a football helmet?
Awesome finish for a leather peace! welldone ;)
I love these tutorial videos. Could you maybe show how to make the PASGT helmet? Or a baseball batting helmet would be cool, as well.
Absolutely amazing! I’d be interested in seeing you make the Nightingale Armor from Skyrim.
You should do a Darth Vader mask or a Kyle Ren mask! I would buy both! Thank you for taking the time to do this pattern and sharing it!
That ia amazing work.
Mandalorian LEATHER HELMET! Sure... and on ignore list!
Where can I get a skiver, stitching pliers and that thing you use to wet mould/round out the pieces? Great choice in music for the video.
check the tool guide at the site, more tools coming soon.
Thank you. I had an Idea to make this. save me the trouble.
amazing and will be picking this up soon. On the finish wouldn't some rattle can chrome and a clear. to make it super shiny. im looking forward to using these in the future :D
How would you recommend starting leather working?
watch my other tutorials and find other vids on youtube
one might use chicago screws to make the visor portion replaceable. just a thought :)
what kind of glues do you use on your works??
Where do you find your wet forming tools? Are they bought or made?
check the tool guide on the site

I don't have a way to down load the pattern. Is there anyway I could
Purchase one. Thanks for the video
What is that metal ball called that you use to wet mold. I want to look at getting one. But I can’t find them
😍
what distance apart are the stiching holes/ what size are the stitching pliers?
I don't actually know and I'm not sure these pliers are even offered anymore.

was looking at your websit do you have the pattern for the demon armor
How dose the purchase of the pattern work ( i.e. email, mail system, shared file)?
Duuuuude.
Can you make the sickest, most badass plague doctor mask?
What is that domed device called that you are using to shape with the wet moulding? I've not seen it before...Thanks!
amazing. totally novice question - how much leather do i need to buy to make this?
what is the metal dome on a stand you use to wet shape the leather called?
Do you have a link to the pliers you use to make stitching holes?

If you make a full body armour and put it on shop a bit cheaper then normal i would fucking adore this my life would be complete.
I never knew I wanted this until I saw the video! Wondering how to scale the pattern sizing up to fit a 23 inch head?
should be just bumping it up a few percent
Watching this because I bought leather for a medieval Praetor suit and I can't sleep so might as well brush up on some stuff
