I am very much in love with the idea of Scott kinda being the new Tony in regards to this saga's villain. Tony suffered wild PTSD from Loki's invasion because he knew something bigger (aka Thanos) was coming. This time it's Scott and I love that man.

@@akshaym7859 You're not understanding, he means Tony in terms of having warnings of the future and notifying the other Avengers, not in terms of the leader. Dr. Strange got the entire reality to worry about while Scott would be specifically worried about Earth. But also in terms of resume, Shuri is the new Tony in terms of being the tech wiz.
It is interesting that the title 'Quantunmania' actually contains the word 'Ant-man'.

So what Erik was trying to explain is something they discussed in Loki and that is all the Kangs from each reality have gone back in time and gerry rigged events SPECIFICALLY to make him more powerful in the future.... basically Scott is back in the sacred timeline playing his role as designed by Kang that insures Kangs future dominance...and yeah Scotts life is super contrived like a sitcom because it's the life one of the Kang variants in his reality/timeline created for him... because almost every timeline's/reality's Kang specific engineers events especially when it comes to characters that could derail his plans

In Theoretical Quantum Physics, your thoughts reflect a decision you make at that moment, and every moment you make a decision you make an alternate probable version of you. The only thing common between all your "variants" is the motivation to take that decision.
With each step Scott took and each beat of Hope's wings, they took multiple decisions and created multiple versions of themselves. However, there was only one possibility where Scott and Hope actually held hands to try and take the core by shrinking it to free Cassie.
Ok Jaby, about the multiples. Think about the Schrödinger's cat he just referenced. Contrary to how we experience reality, a thing either exists or it doesn't, that's not how these rules apply. They both exist, and don't. They exist because they're observed to exist within this moment of probability. But as far as them dying, they're only possibilities. Not reality. So they exist in terms of interaction, but don't in terms of consequence.
That's what Schrödinger's cat demonstrates. All possibilities exist simultaneously until observed. Then, only the observed outcome is considered real. Replace the cat with a Scott and you have the same thing. Endless possible Scotts, but only 1 that's "real"
All of the Scott and Hope variants are real, they're just as real as each other, there aren't any fake Scotts and Hopes. They are no different from alternate universe variants, it's just that the split in the timeline exists within the SAME dimension because they're in an area outside of the multiverse. Normally, those possibilities are spawned in a separate universe/dimension, but as MODOK once explained, that area was essentially the inside of Schrodinger's Box and whoever is inside that box are living out all possibilities AT THE SAME TIME, meaning any action Scott and Hope could (and will) have taken are all existing at once within the same space. All of them are real, not illusions. Janet also never said the other possibilities were illusions nor were they not real, she simply said "they're not you", which is something that can be said to ALL variants of Hope during the moment because in their perspectives, THEY ARE the real Hope... And they actually are.
The Scott we followed who didn't put on his helmet isn't any more real than the other Scotts, he just happened to be the one that followed all of the paths that led him to being the one who got to climb up the Scott-mountain, because if he ever diverges from that path that would lead him to being the one buried and the one climbing up to the top to grab Hope's hand, he would just split into two entities: one who just becomes another Scott on the pile of Scotts and another who didn't do the action that diverges him from the path to being the "real Scott". That's why if you watch the scene again, variants keep splitting off the "real Scott". Notice those variants start off not having their helmet on, but then they put them on and then run to another direction. Those are variants that WERE helmet-less Scott but diverged from the path because they made a decision to put on their helmet or run into another direction. In the end, when Hope saves Scott, all of the possibilities are overwritten. All of the Scotts and Hopes are merged back into one.
This is also why MODOK asked how all of the Scott variants are able to work together to help the "one true Scott" up the mountain of Scotts. It's because they are essentially having the same thoughts. They are Scott from that same moment, so they all think the same thing: Cassie. Scott is so sure he wants to be able to reach the top for Cassie that there's no way he could ever diverge from that path, so as a result, all of the variants are thinking the same thing so they help each other to get to the top.
In fact, this isn't the first time we saw something like this happen in the MCU. In the fourth episode of What If, the Ancient One splits Strange's path into two divergent timelines within the same universe so that the Strange who decided NOT to go back in time to save Christine would be able to fight the Strange who DID go back to save Christine. It's basically the same thing that happened to Scott, except it's more chaotic because it happens instantly at the exact same moment. Another way to understand that sequence better is to watch the Rick and Morty episode "A Rickle in Time" in which Rick, Morty, and Summer are literally sent into a Schrodinger's Cat situation.
One question I had was...why did all the variants of Hope and Scott merge at the precise moment that she grabbed his hand?
@@hitmaniac Because Shroedingers box is about the potential of the unobserved so when Scott and Hope touch hands, they are observed bringing order to chaos. It's also an allusion to the famous Michaelangelo painting, Creation of Adam, with the fingers touching, when God touched Adams finger he brought order to the chaos of the potential of creation.
Sure, but this is a very complex way of explaining there was only one Cassie down there, so when they all heard her voice, they looked around for where its coming from, and since it was coming from only his headset they all helped him get to the top to get back to Cassie, and to me as a father it's one of the most powerful scenes I ever saw in the MCU. There was not a single varient of Scott who did not have unconditional love for his daughter.
Also helping the situation is they were all, except one, Ant Mans so they all understood the power of working together.
Also hilarious is one of the Scotts asked the B&R Scott in the background if they had Ice cream lol.
Erick Voss is my #1 when it comes to breakdowns, however, for Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania, I have to say I loved Ryan Arey’s breakdown. It made me appreciate the movie a lot more by making parallels and explaining character arcs to previous Antman movies and other Marvel projects.

I interpreted the endless numbers of Scotts and Hopes disappearing in the realm of possibilities (don't remember it that was its actual name) as them finally choosing to do one thing, instead of continue to contemplate how to shrink the core, hence the other "possibilities" disappeared

probability storm is something where we can see multiple ways/methods where the job can be done(shrinking down the core) to do the job multiple ways/methods can be followed by only one is correct is correct i,e when antman and wasp both do it together i,e also why all the variants of both ant man and wasp disappears.............. that is my take on it feel free to rectify me or express ur opinion🙂
With regards to the police car, you’re forgetting that hank had a shrunken tank on a keychain that he carried around, and an entire building that he rolled. So, while the physics on organic matter, they may be different for inorganic matter.
You need to watch New Rockstars "Quantumania final scene: Scott's timeline changed" it explains in depth more of what Erik was thinking with the whole Scott in a loop thing.

I think Scott’s size is relative depending on surface area. Like how the states of the USA are smaller or larger depending on the surface area on different continents.
The physics changed based on iterations of the pyn tech. Old pym used to shrink the space between atoms. The new ones seem to use less atoms(or more if growing) hence why he now has to grow in size in order to punch. And the way u can go sub atomic would be by shrinking the size of the atoms themselves by removing the space from them. (Yes it would have other implications but it’s about getting it as close to real world physics as possible not 100% or we would be able to do it irl-)

So Realm & Universe are 2 different meaning. Like He who remain explain '' Universes are on top of each other so Scott being giant is not on a Quatumn level scale but in a different universe. Quntumn is just a path ways. If that make sense.

Scott went back to an area where it's safe a distance away from Kang while the signal can reach every corner and every pathways in the quantum realm. It was stated in the video.

In the quantum energy storm thing You questioned if the variants die at the end of that sequence. How I interpreted it was that each time Scott could make a choice he would split into a variant in that moment, each performing one of the choices. By the end of the scene all the variants knew that Cassie needed them so in Scott's mind that is no choice at all, he will always choose to save Cassie. Once every variant was making the same choice then they cease to be variants and get reabsorbed into one being. You can think of them as not being separate Scotts but rather the same Scott in hundreds of different places at the same time. I.E. Schrodinger's Cat is both alive and dead in the box. There are 2 cats in the box. They are the same cat.

Jaby, in order for you to not get confused about the multiple probability Scott's, just like Schrodinger's cat, all of the Scotts exist and do not exist at the same time. All of them are real & not real at the same time, you can't and can see them at the same time.

You say that you're not going to belittle this movie for not having realistic science because it's a comic book movie but proceeds to nitpick it because you feel like the science doesn't make sense to you. Science is theory in a nutshell what most people fail to realize how much marvel consultants with teachers and scientists who have given them feedback when ever they do this. Star trek was theorized science and it came out b4 we went to the moon. Just because you don't understand and it make no sense to you that doesn't mean they pull it out their asses.

@@shadowx8145 nope, that was the movie's job to do, as an ONLY movie watcher, this movie needed to make me feel for Kang, for Scott, for Cassie, but nothing, the movie is meh for that reason.
It's simple. Kang is from the 31 century and he uses advanced tech from that time period. He's basically a Tony Stark from the future. In Endgame, he cracked time travel but Kang did that a long time ago with the knowledge from the future. Also, his variants from other timelines all work together and share tech and knowledge with each other. Avengers: Kang Dynasty will more than likely go into more detail about Kang since his other variants are going to show up due to this movie's post credit scene with Immortus, Rama Tut and Kang Prime showing up

Ant-Man and the Wasp was a bad movie but I still cared for it's characters because they go beyond the scope of one movie. Kang as well since this isn't the last time we see him. I didn't care for Thanos when I first saw him in other movies besides Infinity War and Endgame.

"The MCU has retconned MODOK..." The MCU did not retcon MODOK. The MCU is not the comics so it did not retcon MODOK but rather adapted him. The Comics MODOK is still there and has not been changed by this movie.

At one point it appeared that Jaby was looking for things to complain about. I thought this when he questioned how possibly Scott could stay in a fight with Kang for more than a few seconds. First, we know that Scott can take a punch, mostly Kang was too busy making a speech to end this fight quickly. Scott hit Kang a total of 2 times in that fight, the 2nd hit Kang practically let Scott hit him because he knew Scott could not hurt him.
The weight of objects concept is something even I don't understand...

A lot of stuff in this movie went over a lot of who I consider to be pretty intelligent peoples heads’ tbh (mine as well at first, I had quite a few questions I had to think about more than in a passing way to explain away) which is ironic because the MCU is usually relatively easy to digest. That to me was the biggest problem with this movie, they forgot most people don’t go to the superhero movies to think too too hard or remember 50+ hours of previous content (especially not in ‘phase 2’)
How was he able to keep his face when his helmet was on when he got sucked in

Is Infinity War ever said in Infinity War.
It's doesn't feel like kang is real deal. It feels like "Only thing that make him big threat is with number of him". If Big bad wins with number..... 😕😕😕 . This is may be becuz not showing his character darker enough, they are just saying he is bad but not showing any. And when time come he loses.. and when he lose their no immediate variant of showing up...
They tried to take the main flaw of the movie, not really mattering, and turn it into a twist ending plot point. Aka, since that trip into the quantum realm felt like it changed nothing, it could easily have been a manipulated event that he accidentally took part in; the kang dynasty controlling his life just enough to cause that event to take place on their behalf.
