@@christophermccutcheon2143 Well in this case it was labelled by Questie or some other addon as being 45 and all other mobs were in that range, but you're right that mobs and quests go yellow when up to 2 levels above your current level.
I did these quests on maybe 20+ characters. I would avoid those quests like these in any case. They are just way too risky and not worth it. As Asmon said: "I value my time too much to play Hardcore"
The clip in Maraudon is, once again, proof why you shouldn't skip packs, especially at that part. Just accept you're going to spend 2h-3h in that dungeon and do it cleanly. At that point they were already near the end. By the way, it seems that they either pulled the Goblin boss into the pack just before his cave, or, they had already ninja pulled while fighting the Goblin. Seems the entire group took some questionable decisions, not just the hunter.
100% agree If you stand to loose literally dozens or even hundreds of hours of character progress if you die, do you *really* need to save those 10 or 20 minutes per dungeon run trying to skip packs or pulling packs when your group isnt fully ready and in positon yet? getting to 60 in classic hardcore is a marathon, not a sprint.
@@Tralvan Plus dungeon mobs give XP and have a chance to drop BOE blues, recipes etc. I got the 6 second physical immunity potion recipe from Maraudon. If nothing else you should be killing as many enemies as possible.

I'm having a real big chuckle at the fucking video-title updating every 10 minutes. My favourite was "Old man watchers other men die in a 16 year old videogame".
It really baffles me with the warlock deaths. Just as Asmo describes them, they can be immortal killing machines that never end. They were some of the best farmers, because you could just run as affliction and dot pull every mob you can see, tank them with leech, and when you got low on mana you just got more from yourself / pet. You didn't need to be 60 to do this either, so it's so confusing when they play the complete opposite ... fearing mobs into other mobs, not using their pets, running out of health / mana while the other is completely full, dying to multi mobs like demons / elementals without using hard CCs, etc... Using hellfire ... ever......
at 2:36 hes like not worried at all about being 30% hp, takes a hit and goes for his drink IRL. Im screaming to healthstone/health potion and hes like "Coffee break!"
13:44 the priest was in range when the paladin dropped conc, but when they moved to pick up the caster mobs they likely outranged the priest's heal and therefore cancelled the cast, forcing the priest to hustle to get into range. Tank moving too quickly for his group; You can see the whole group was at least 20 yards behind him when he pulled. Own fault: It's not only the tank that sets the pace of a dungeon, and I'd chalk that one down to a lack of awareness on their part rather than a failing on the healer's part.
Agree, I played a healer in classic and that used to happen all the time, until I got a reliable tank friend who knew to wait for the healer if he wants to be healed. Not all tanks have learned that lesson. Being slow is better than being dead, especially in hardcore. Im not doing any dungeons on my primary character though, just gonna make steady progress to 60. I’ve got a few alts that I might take the risk with to see first hand how terrifying dungeons are on hardcore.
To be fair though, that should be the default setting, you shouldn't need to spend 10 minutes figuring out the options menu and setting up your interface to play the game properly.
@@holysecret2 some people want to be more immersed - less UI Thats why I dont use nameplates. they are clunky (yes they do help you see mobs spawning in)
Looks like he didn't want to aggro them in the first place, but ran in too far to consecrate like it was a thunderclap, instead of just consecrating and letting the mobs he *wanted* to pull walk into it. Some needless min maxing or I wouldn't be surprised if he actually was tanking as a warrior and wanted to try a paladin tank, because he acts like one - using cons like a thunderclap, moving towards the casters as if he had a pummel to interrupt the spell cast - the movement is just like a warrior. A prot paladin or a player who isn't used to certain movements from playing a tank warrior would have just body pulled the mobs, drop cons, activate block and let the mobs run into you. I have seen stuff like that happen often, when people try to play play one class like a different class. But you can't play a prot paladin like a warrior or a warlock like a mage or a ret paladin like a rogue. They are similar, but not the same. That's what some people don't get, when they don't go in with a fresh, open mindset and look at the way the class they play / try actually provides and how it works for the role they play. That's why many paladins are so "bad", because people try to play a ret paladin (for example) like a dps warrior and neglect the abilities that make a ret paladin valuable (like emergency heals, that a warrior doesn't provide) and overemphasize their role as a dps "warrior", when they have no cleave / viable AoE - focusing on things they can't do, but still try to do anyways, and trying to make up for it in weird ways, that don't work.

I'm the 59 Hunter. Let me explain some things that didnt make it into the clip: I splitpulled with dynamite to get Deathclasp alone. It worked but his adds are different to other adds as they seem to re-aggro after they reset. I start kiting Deathclasp, not slowing him, not having my pet on him to keep aggro on my hunter. The brainfart moment was when I changed direction and didnt know about the ranged knock Deathclasp has. I spam my feign death macro which also puts my pet on passive, that's another mistake I made that I only realized afterwards. Bonus: The "dress" my character is wearing is called "Bonecaster's Sarong of the Monkey" with 16 agi and 16 stam. Too good not to wear even though it's cloth.
@1:23 dude had blade furry and popped it then ran away, should’ve ran to the caster with the second melee mobs and popped off. Always stand your ground boys
yeah I dont understand alot of these where people are fighting stuff like 4 to 5 lvls above them.. there's more than enough quests at lvl to keep ya goin.
Just bursted out laughing at 12:10 + as he tried to do a ten year cast. I got the idea, that you want your voidwalker up, but he obviously never should have done it with 50% hp, still having his health stone - so he would get cast pushback before even getting close to finishing it, ever. And then he has to stop as he was low hp again. Oh my..
Why when they have an option to run on the road they always run into wilderness? That lvl 52 rogue wasn’t even looking around while choosing an escape path and aggroed two more mobs, crossed the road and probably would have aggroed a bear or a spider once he got to the other side, but the undead got him before that. As someone who played HC and died numerous times while leveling to my own mistakes, connection issues and game crashes, I approached every single pull with the same care. It’s not a rocket science to get to 60 in Vanilla, but takes a lot of patience and care as not to pull more than you can chew. And Asmon says, ‘stand your ground’ or at least have a good escape path in case things go wild. Constantly turn your camera around, never run with your back to mobs. Strafe running is the first thing you need to learn, remove backward movement button (unless you’re a tank), remove keyboard turning bindings, just leave two strafes and forward movement. Camera turn is possible without changing the direction your character is facing and let’s you monitor the surroundings for possible extras and respawns. Check Raziya the Ravager videos on hunter to learn the movement any class can benefit from. Also: how do you get to lvl 59 as a hunter and don’t know how to split pulls with your pet?
