what alot of people don't understand about the hobby , is that small dolls are often more costly than large full sized dolls ....and a certain few dolls are close to impossible to get ..this video is a great place for future collectors to start ....most dolls do not increase in value after you buy them ,unless you increase the value with artist touches
That is so true about small dolls, they're harder to paint, dress, wig, etc. And most dolls really don't increase in value, I can think of a few makers who usually do, but you're doing well to retain value IMO.
I fell in love with ana salvatore dolls after seeing them in one of your doll festival videos. I kept rewatching that video just see those dolls. So cute 😊
I really fell in love with your Kim Arnold Trinket Box Doll..I love dolls that look like little kids... Although all of your dolls are fabulous...I am more inclined to buy a doll that has a child like asthetic.... Thanks again for sharing your collection! 🤗😍💕💕
Truly enjoyed this video. As usual, you have done your research. You are still a teacher. I am seeing a few that I might want to add to my collection next year. Also, it is really worth it to get the completed doll from the artist.
I absolutely enjoy watching your video's so much information and details and its lovely to actually see your own amazing collection, Thank you for sharing with us, Happy and healthy New year to you ,Linda in London,
Found your channel through a confessions blog of all places, and I'm really enjoying your videos! Would you be willing to talk about the history of BJDs? It'd be interesting to hear your take on the origin story of the Dollfie Dream, the rise of Korean company dolls, or even 3D printing in the hobby! Again, I'm enjoying your content and wish you the best in this crazy world. :>
A confessions blog eh? That's the first time I've heard that! Welcome to my channel and thank you for enjoying the content 💜 I would love to do a video like that but truth be told I didn't start collecting BJDs until 2014 and started with artist ones at that, so I am not super knowledgeable about the history (I know surface level but not in depth), but I love learning new things so I might do a deep dive on the topic and come up with something in a few months 💜
you should totally get a resinsoul! I recently got my first bjd (resinsoul zhen head on the rs shi body) and I love her! resinsouls tend to be a little kicky, but other than that, great quality for the price!
The magnnets on my BJD aren't working feet and hands keep falling off. So I bought a stringed set PPinky artist. Now the feet and hands stay on but legs wont cross or stay. How can I fix this please.
Please could we have creatures and non BJD lists too? I think that Quirky Critters from Etsy would go on the creatures list. Her dolls are beautiful and inexpensive, but really well made.
I love watching this video!
Thank you so much 🥰

Kim Arnold's dolls are amazing and some of the best values in the BJD world, I highly recommend them 💜

Thank you so much for watching 💜
Excellent info, one reason I’ve hesitated to venture into true BJDs (other than price) are the face ups and other additions.
Thank you so much! It is a lot of work assembling them, I always prefer to buy artist full sets when I can, but they aren't always available 😫
I enjoyed all the information given. Thank you for taking the time to share it. I learned a lot, especially for my next purchase:) Merry Christmas:)
Merry Christmas and thank you so much for watching 💜
Its exactly midnight HAPPY CHRISTMAS Alison !!
Happy Christmas to you too 💜💜
Its only 8 pm where I am, but still happy christmas everyone!
Thank you Allison, that was very informative. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas 🎄
The Pitusas dolls are gorgeous. Do they only come with yarn wigs?
They don't come with any wig at all, these are wigs I added after -- they aren't yarn wigs they're made of natural fibers 🥰
Thank's for all the infos !! Great job !!
Perhaps a video about the reasons of the bjd's prices ? It can be intresting ... Merry Christmas ❄☃️🎄
I think that is an excellent suggestion! Thank you so much for the idea, I am going to start working on the script for it now 💜

I think next year I will definitely try to add one, I was so pleased with the Doll Leaves quality I want to branch out and try some other companies 💜
Fun and informative video, but I didn't see the list of face up artists that you mentioned. Thanks, and happy holidays :)

I'll definitely do a non-BJD list and I'll see what I can come up with for creatures 😍
@@MunecasPoupeesDolls My favourite non BJD factory made creature doll is my Build a Bear unicorn. Have you ever had a Build a Bear?
Happy Holidays.
Same to you 🥰
Atelier Momomoni offers a 90 day layaway. Merry Christmas!!!!🎄🎁
You're right! I can't believe I even forgot to mention that but it's an excellent point and helps so much with budgeting 💜

Hi there how are you wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year🤗
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you too 😍
What brand is the Mia doll? I am having trouble finding her brand name.
She's Darak, if you check the video description there is a link to purchase 💜
I am having a very hard time getting information from atelier momoni. Suggestions?
What type of information are you trying to get?
🙏 Thank You So Much Teacher Allison for this informative tutorial ... I'm wanted to know what the real meaning of the abbrevation BJDs?! 🍎
Ball jointed dolls 💜
Omg 😱 😱😱
What's a face up?
It's the painting of the face - BJDs are made with blank faces and they can ether be painted at the factory, by the artist, or by someone else
