- It's week 5 of 6 before I go to comicon with my daughter! In this vlog we begin making healthy changes to our morning routine, we get lunch at a new conveyor belt sushi restaurant, and as requested I share some gentle exercises I've been doing as an obese person trying to lose weight.

You should be really proud of yourself, Andrea. Like you said, “You have to start somewhere,” and you have done just that - you started! That’s often the hardest step. Fingers crossed! I had some unexpected setbacks through my 6 week push so I know I didn't lose what I wanted to BUT this has really helped to get me in the habit of exercising!
Lol! He set the time and I feel like I'm happier about it than he is. 🤣

Hello Ms. Andrea, Oh my that's too early for me. I do the cough squat. Except I use my adjustable bed. When it gets too easy I lower the bed. I do aqua therapy for my exercises. Land exercises are too hard with my lower back and knee issues. Thank you for showing us the exercises that you do!! I hope you have lots of fun at Comicon. TFS! Blessings to you!🕊✝🙏🏼💖

Look, you’re doing it! I get up at that time too. I’m used to it, my chickens trained me! 😂 I like not having to rush and have the time to have a nice homemade breakfast. For me that peaceful morning routine sets the basis of my day and I’m far more likely to move and work out later in the day. You got this and I’m here to cheer you on!
I don't think I'll ever be a morning person but I do love a more relaxed start to my day! It really sets a better tone for my entire day. 🥰 Thank you, Rick!

We've been in the low 70's high 60's at night & I'm in a flannel in the mornings 😂
Getting up early is definitely super helpful. My day starts every day around 4:30. The quiet time really does help 🖤
The sushi all looked so good!!!
Walking, stretching & swimming are the absolute best beginner exercises. They're so gentle on the body & it is super important to ease into it.
And real life is so different than the TV stuff. A lot of folks hold themselves up to those expectations 😕
Having a friend that helps you stay accountable is really helpful. Ya'all are doing such a great job. Keep at it!!
And coffee is life 😂 I'm not sure u could go without it. For me it's more of a comfort habit thing. The caffeine doesn't really do anything to me anymore 😂
Thank you for all of your support, my friend! Lol, I like chai tea too, so that helps me to stay out of coffee MOST of the time. 😆 We'll see if I make it through to next year without drinking coffee again, lol.

Squats are evil…. only other activity I like less is lunges…..
I remember seeing myself on video and being horrified that the camera added like 100 pounds… 😂😂
The little ducks and bats were so fun. My accountability people are straight up jerks which is exactly what I need. Lol.

I mostly drink a ton of water and some herbal tea. No soda, no coffee, no alcohol. 😊 Coffee remains the only thing that I occasionally crave but I feel better when I don't drink it so I'm trying really hard not to fall back on it again, lol.

You are doing great Andrea. Blinda is my accountability partner and I am hers. Because both of us have mornings where we don’t have the want to to do our morning walk. The knee aches have gotten better as we’ve pressed on through it, so yours will too. Just don’t overdo it. And early mornings are the best. It’s just adjusting your body to get to bed early. That was my biggest issue. And I won’t mention my idea of a burpee. Just know it embarrasses Blinda if I do it in public. 😂. Have an energy filled week. God bless.

It's weird because I always seem to wake up a few minutes before my alarm, no matter what time I set it for. 😆Yes, I do, Mike isn't currently able to work, it has been a very difficult year for him but we're really trying to do whatever we can to improve his health. He's come a really long way!

Its finally starting to cool off here!! I'm so excited! Though it's not uncommon for us to cool off for a bit and the. See high temps again, lol. I'm ready for fall temps!
Oh my goodness, I totally know how it is to try and not show all yourself on camera. I struggle with it and yes I know people can see I’m obese but I still hide. I’m so proud of you girl! I am starting with e cerise and geeze I’m old and sooo out of shape! I can’t even do the big girl burpees at this point so you go girl!!
I'm so happy you're starting with exercise too!! It's slowly getting easier and it's so rewarding as it does! You'll get there too! We've got this!
Heyyy on the coffee you can add a dash or two of cayenne pepper to your decaf and it gives you a pep in your step and it’s tasteless! 😊👍❤️

I've been getting up at 5am for over 40 years. I don't even set an alarm anymore.
Wooow! I wish it were that easy for me! Oddly, I always seem to wake up a few minutes before my alarm goes off, no matter when I set the time for but I'm not a morning person, so it's never exciting for me to wake up at any hour, lol! I do really like getting up early though because my day feels so much fuller! 😊💕

I did not know what a "burpee" was (other than a company that used to sell seeds - LOL). Anyhow, I am starting out slow as well. I found an App for my iPhone called JustFit. They have several workouts to choose from. Most of them were too difficult for me. However, they do have a 30 day Chair workout - were all the exercises are done seated. Even there, a few of the chair exercises were a little difficult (I hate to admit). But the App allows you to skip the ones you don't want to do, or are too hard. I like the seated exercises because after I master those, and get stronger, I can move to doing them standing, like real grown-ups. Hey, I get it. We procrastinate. That's how I ended up where I am. But I'm not allowing that to stop me. I'll start at the bottom and work my way up. High 5 to you! Love your cheery attitude - for waking up at 5:00 AM. No way.
I'll definitely check out the app! I looked at another one that appeared to have great routines but it was out of my budget, so thank you for sharing that!
I am all about chair exercises! Especially while I'm working to get the first big chunk of weight off!

5am is temporary, lol! Too early for me. Walking has been the easiest exercise for me to keep consistent and feeling better! 😊
