    I miss Keio!!! I studied there for 8 months last year as an international student. Even though people are busy with their studies, we usually hang out during breaks and after class. The ebi curry udon is the best during lunch! I wanna visit Keio again soon!!!

      I heard that getting into a university in Japan is about 100X harder than it is to graduate university. They study like hell throughout High School and then get to relax once they get accepted into a college/university. The opposite of most places.

    • @nameisnotimportant6219
      @nameisnotimportant6219 3 года назад +1

      @@astoraan6071In my country they have a special entrance exam for medical and engineearing. If you want to get into a medical or engeenering collage then you need to study both 11th and 12th grade at the same time plus some extra studies for the exam itself. not to mention that you still need to pass your 12th grade board exams. Even if you are not going in any specialized stream it's still really hard to get in a good collage to get your Batchelder's degree. So I think that it won't be so bad after all.

    • @astoraan6071
      @astoraan6071 3 года назад

      @@nameisnotimportant6219 That sounds quite rough, I live in the UK and I'm currently at University studying mechanical engineering, in high school (11-16) I only studied a little bit for the final senior year exam to get into a specific college (in the UK College and University are two different things with college being mandatory before university). Mechanical engineering in college was probably the easiest 2 years of my life and there are no such thing as entrance exams here. After I finished college I got accepted into university and I'm in my first year now, but the work they give in university is quite hard.

    Hi! Great video :) - Keio University looks super great and sophisticated! I'm currently studying economics and I'm planning to do an exchange for one semester here. What are your thoughts about their faculty of economics, in terms of the students' lifestyle and such? Is it that hard if you're not that fluent in Japanese?
    Would love to see your thoughts and advice on these :D

    • @wind7519
      @wind7519 7 лет назад

      I think most schools require a proficiency in Japanese, but it probably varies on subject matter. Since you study economics, it might be easier considering the psets and math involved, but I'm pretty sure any terms they use would be in Japanese, maybe some with English.

I like how explanatory she is in tntriguing us into the campus inside the video, perhaps she is the smart student, I like how mixture of the culture is still unknown but a exchange student can appear to surpass us with the ability that she poses it's like a Canadian school and very stroing in the abiulity that she has, It is very going to be me but staggering in the decision, but the old times is real, junior high school students are all going there to lok up on the university students and it is a very great thing to start, I like how academic it is like it

    Keio is one of the great ones in Tokyo but for rich people in Japan. Many people say that there's rivalry between Waseda and Keio. Though Waseda are also rich guys many Japanese friends told me Keio people are even more rich and a bit spoiled that's why Waseda has this rivalry. Nice video I always wondered how was Keio university^^

      so, are still any bullying? I am a bit afraid since I am not "milky white Japanese skin". I ever heard half japanese said that if you are introvert in Japan, you could be target of bullying. I am worried since there was student exchange univ. student said Japanese guy ever hit on her and spit on her:( She is white btw:(

    • @internationallyME
      @internationallyME  8 лет назад

      Ahh really? Maybe it has something to do with the weather? I really enjoyed my time at Keio and this campus. However, there are two main campuses (Hiyoshi and this one) and Hiyoshi is for 1st/2nd years so it's more lively and fun - Mita is more sophisticated compared to that haha.
      I had many friends who went to Waseda too - my impression of Waseda was that the Japanese there were more outgoing and drank a lot lol.. But really both are great unis so I think they both will be great experiences!!

    • @xiknxxx
      @xiknxxx 8 лет назад

      Yep, I did! :) The Waseda campus was really beautiful with lots of students and it just seemed really welcoming in general. Lots of people playing Pokemon Go on campus as well hahaha :)

      +jukkis6699 Everyone learns things at a different speed but a year should be enough to get the fundamentals! Just use your time wisely :) Good luck with your university entrance exam!!

      +xxMapSyrxx oh well thanks for coming by! hope you have fun but, hmm let's see
      I love nature, so the Ahvenanmaa archipelago (island clusters in the Finnish coast line)
      or the north lapland is pretty amazing
      and there is the lake lands in central Finland, we do have hundreds of thousand of lakes!
      Like I said, I love nature XD
