I miss Keio!!! I studied there for 8 months last year as an international student. Even though people are busy with their studies, we usually hang out during breaks and after class. The ebi curry udon is the best during lunch! I wanna visit Keio again soon!!!

ProtoAmbush Yeah, universities here in Italy suck... I'm lucky because I live next to the Swiss border and I could study in a Swiss university (maybe a lil bit better than Italian ones)
I think exchange is different. Exchange program is base on your home university. If ur university is partnered with Keio all you need is pretty much good GPA and money.
Just found out that I'll be studying here this September! I'm so excited! Thank you for making a video about Keio, it was so useful when I was choosing which universities to apply for :)
Wow, this is so nostalgic, I miss Keio so much, the exchange year to Keio was the best experience of my life and your Video brings back so many memories, I really like how you show all of the buildings and the classrooms and things!! 😭👍 And I was already looking if I can see someone I know somewhere in the background, so I was really surprised seeing Haruka, I was at Keio at the same time as him and we had one class together, so he probably wouldn't remember, but wow, what a surprise!! XD Thank you for this wonderful video, could watch it over and over again!! XD
I heard that getting into a university in Japan is about 100X harder than it is to graduate university. They study like hell throughout High School and then get to relax once they get accepted into a college/university. The opposite of most places.
@@astoraan6071In my country they have a special entrance exam for medical and engineearing. If you want to get into a medical or engeenering collage then you need to study both 11th and 12th grade at the same time plus some extra studies for the exam itself. not to mention that you still need to pass your 12th grade board exams. Even if you are not going in any specialized stream it's still really hard to get in a good collage to get your Batchelder's degree. So I think that it won't be so bad after all.
@@nameisnotimportant6219 That sounds quite rough, I live in the UK and I'm currently at University studying mechanical engineering, in high school (11-16) I only studied a little bit for the final senior year exam to get into a specific college (in the UK College and University are two different things with college being mandatory before university). Mechanical engineering in college was probably the easiest 2 years of my life and there are no such thing as entrance exams here. After I finished college I got accepted into university and I'm in my first year now, but the work they give in university is quite hard.
even if its not one of those top schools it is clean, in schools students clean the school like 3 time a week. keeping the place u live clean is a part of japan life style
Thanks for sharing! The campus shop is actually a shop! In my university they didn't have something like that, not even a stand. I'm doing my master degree in another university and they have a pretty small stand, nothing compared with the one on the video. Your campus is really complete!
Ah nice look at this campus, I stayed for a week in an apartment along the same street as the really cool looking East Gate building, was wondering if I should pop in to have a look at the campus, but was always rushing for time and wasn't sure if I would be allowed to wander in as well, so just snapped some photos by the street level of that entrance.
Ah, University days. I miss them. I never did go study abroad. My brother went to ICU in Mitaka. It looks like a nice atmosphere. Thanks for showing us around.
I went back to my exchange university last year (it had been 2 years since I'd left) and it was so nostalgic being there, I missed all my friends and the campus so much! Totally understand what you're going through :')
I totally agree with what you said in your description for this video. I enjoy going out of my comfort zone sometimes and I enjoy life much more when I do. I have decided to go back to college later this year with the aim to get into university after that and I would be very interested in going over for an exchange in Japan. I'll be visiting Japan very shortly for a holiday so I can at least get a taste of what it would be like to live there for a longer period :)
+The Ginger Exprience Going outside your comfort zone also makes you grow and learn new things! :) That's awesome! If you go into it with a positive approach, I'm sure it will be a good experience. Enjoy as much of Japan as you can when your here!

Hi! Great video :) - Keio University looks super great and sophisticated! I'm currently studying economics and I'm planning to do an exchange for one semester here. What are your thoughts about their faculty of economics, in terms of the students' lifestyle and such? Is it that hard if you're not that fluent in Japanese? I think most schools require a proficiency in Japanese, but it probably varies on subject matter. Since you study economics, it might be easier considering the psets and math involved, but I'm pretty sure any terms they use would be in Japanese, maybe some with English.
I actually went to this uni to see the campus like a week ago and I think it was because it was pretty dark, but I felt like the atmosphere was pretty gloomy and I was like :(. But I just watched this vid and this place seems really awesome...so thank you! :)
Ahh really? Maybe it has something to do with the weather? I really enjoyed my time at Keio and this campus. However, there are two main campuses (Hiyoshi and this one) and Hiyoshi is for 1st/2nd years so it's more lively and fun - Mita is more sophisticated compared to that haha. I had many friends who went to Waseda too - my impression of Waseda was that the Japanese there were more outgoing and drank a lot lol.. But really both are great unis so I think they both will be great experiences!!
Yep, I did! :) The Waseda campus was really beautiful with lots of students and it just seemed really welcoming in general. Lots of people playing Pokemon Go on campus as well hahaha :)

Keio is one of the great ones in Tokyo but for rich people in Japan. Many people say that there's rivalry between Waseda and Keio. Though Waseda are also rich guys many Japanese friends told me Keio people are even more rich and a bit spoiled that's why Waseda has this rivalry. Nice video I always wondered how was Keio university^^
