Have this bike and it's deceptively fast - the engine is so smooth... No vibrations, no dips or peaks in torque curve - only constant forward thrust. Seems like it doesn't accelerate but it definitely does 😅
It's a rocket. Too quick for normal road use. I daily'd mine 2016 model for 2023. Whole year and going to work was just pleasure. Night shift riding home at 4am. Open roads, straight cans remap with the usual farting pops and a few number of coppers (police) hiding to snatch me. Its warp speed if your right hand twitches. Low down torque like my naked rf900 also. Top speed in town doing 30mph hitting the dual carriageway at 130 in a build up. From 3000 rpm and it never stops accelerating. Hitting 8000 opens the crest of power shaking you awake that it ain't kidding. Drop the front sprocket -1. ;)
Typical thing of Suzuki, with shorter gearing and more engaging to ride affecting the topspeed. Suzuki is clear about their concept that rarely riders would be at the top of the rev range at 6th gear so, they made it so lively and engaging to ride with the cost of topspeed.
I don’t understand your point. As Suzuki (and other manufacturers) know 99.9999% of road riders will never attempt to reach max RPM in 6th in a bike designed like this one. Rather, the top gear is for improved fuel economy when riding distances.
@@marcusgeorge1825 No dude, as compared to other competitors Suzuki has a shorter final gear ratio and I think they made it to retain the punchy nature of the engine even at 6th gear. Suzuki hasn't given a long leg in the 6th gear thus restricting the topspeed and that's why even at 6th gear the engine wants to rush to redline quickly and feels punchy and lively. I don't think its rival would feel as punchy as Suzuki at 6th gear. Long ratio at 6th gear will give an increase in topspeed but it wouldn't feel as punchy as it is now at 6th gear. Because of this shorter gear ratio it is much more eager and quicker than its rival sx1000. I think anyone would agree with this fact.

I would say 200 is better, also due to less revs

QUESTION - about the WIND NOISE off the windscreen at highway speed. Loud? Turbulence?
I haven't noticed any special noise.
Why is it topspeed limited? It had some revs left.
it's limited, because otherwise it would always run into rev limiter in 6th gear.
If remap ECU & remove the speed limiter, it can fly!
for a sports tourer it's already fast enough :)
@@mototop_ haha... I know. That's the problem for a superbike rider who got backache, then move to sport touring bike...always have hunger for speed
150 mph stock with no tune. Not bad!
with longer gearing (or smaller rear sprocket) it would be even faster :)
Could you try the top speed in 5th gear? (No ecu restrictions)
sorry, don't have the bike anymore, only had it for testing. But I guess in 5th gear it would run into rev limiter at latest at 245km/h per GPS.
rpm limiter is at 12 k rpm at 5 gear at 11 k rpm it was 225 km/h so yea at 5 it should hit in rev limiter at 245 km/h around so 6 more than at 6 gear 👍🏻
I want little bit more top speed about 10~20km more..~ anyway acceleration up to 250km is pretty quick enough
It has a very short gear ratio. that's why topspeed is lower. But acceleration and rollon are great :)
Hey
Love your videos if you can try to get BMW F900R. Thanks bro
thanks :) I would prefere to take the XR, because it has better wind protection :D I guess I can get it this year ;)
@@mototop_ Okay :D i am buying a new bike and i don't know which one to buy Kawasaki Z900 or BMW F900R both have their sides
@@jussipajuniemi8247 of course the engine of Z900 is more smoothe, but the BMW has some great features and is more up to date.
I'm really curious if Yamaha mt10 can do 0-200 below 9 seconds with that short wheelbase despite having more HP and NM
give me one to test :)
Is that a good evolution to a tracer 900gt 2019?
haven't tested the Tracer yet
👍
thanks :)
how did the screen perform?
Sorry, haven't concentrated on it
Nxt is the 2022 GSX S1000R top speed
you mean the GSX-R1000, the Superbike? Or do you mean the naked GSX-S1000?
Kann man die Abriegelung bei 250 aufheben lassen?
Sollte auf jeden Fall möglich sein. Aber dann hängt man wahrscheinlich ständig im Drehzahlbegrenzer.
You will get more pull from the mid range rather than near the red line. How can you not know that ?

Cooles Video ....
Funny how a fully faired bike with more than twice the power of an SV650 only really goes 40 kph/20% faster.
Just goes to show what a tremendous problem drag becomes at high speed. A 120 hp 1.8L I4 Prius will do 200 kph, and it takes a CTS-V, 6.2L 640 hp supercharged V8, to go 300 kph.
...and the question is pretty much always what are you really doing that benefits from you going 300 instead of 200, for four times the cost?
That's just physics. For double speed you need about 8-times of power
İt looks like it’s electronically limited to 250km/h even though it is capable to do more
right, it's limited, because it has a very short gear ratio, and it would always run into rev limiter in 6th gear.
Video that i want thnx
you're welcome :)
How did this bike handle at this speed?
it's very stable.
If its standard tune then acceleration is just awful cos the throttle only opens at about 70% . Moore mafia racing youtube has a video on both generations. Mine is the 2016 gsx s1000 abs and things became lively after opening ups to 100%. Equivalent to 20+hp 8000rpm to redline. Awesome bike. I have the suzuki rf900 and riden over the decades. Best bike I have owned. 4 yrs now and nothing wrong. Mount her and she starts first time every time. Soft paint us my only issue. Black is iffy to keep sweet. Ps. If you watch the g-meter, it was flat...
this tested bike was totally stock as per european specifications

Why suzuki cut so early... 260Gps acceptable
because it has a very short gear ratio and would always run into rev limiter. I guess 265 per GPS schould be possible with longer gearing
R.I.P clutch 😭. 1:28
no, is still alive :)
This isn’t much slower than the ZH2!
you're right. Maybe because the Suzuki has a very short gear ratio.
Use the quick shifter to do this test... Clutch is unnecessary and a waste of time for this test...
I used the quickshifter in this test....
Like raider50 more accelerate.and for upgrading ingine to higher speed.

No, it's stock

At normal speeds (about 100km/h) it's very good at my height :) At topspeed you have to cover behind the windscreen.
