I was having the same problem on my cricut maker. So go to cricut design space and make sure the setting is for your machine. I had a cricut maker and the setting i had it on was cricut maker 3. Finally I realized it and my red light went away. Make sure you check that. 🙂
Ugh...I had to make one of these videos for them too. So aggravating when you spend so much money on them & they do this. Especially when you have a project that has to he done.
Same thing happened with mine after a week of receiving it and 2 cuts. I’ve been trying to fix the issue for over 3 months now, and all Cricut service can tell me is they are aware of the issue and will let us know once it has been fixed. Another month has passed since. I am really disappointed with the reliability on these machines
My Maker did this too. Not Maker 3, regular Maker. Sent video to cust serv. They didn't know what would cause it to do that. I cleaned where the sensor is, tried different blades, etc. Same thing. It will use the pen. Just won't cut anything. I finally bought a new one. If I have any problems out of this one I'm done with Cricut and will get something else. These machines should last longer than a year and a half for what we pay for them.
Something is stuck under the sensor. It happened to me. Blow under where the blade is. It should clear it right out and it will be fine also take the blade out and clean it off. It happened when I was doing tiny...tiny intricate cuts
My Maker 3 is doing the same exact thing.... I followed instructions to uninstall restart and reinstall design space, still the same problem. Also cleaned tool sensor multiple times!
I am on my 3rd Maker! The company sends me replacement machines because the blue tooth connection WILL NOT connect or stay connected. I have a graveyard of Cricut machines (4 of them) sitting here (only had to send one back), and even with the hard-wire cord, the machine will not stay connected to my laptop. The original Cricut that had no bluetooth connectivity worked fine but these Makers will NOT make!
My explore 3 not letting me setup. Or do the test cut,never again will by one customer care dont snswer have you hold for 45mins and then hung up they don't call back.
I’ve had a regular cricket maker for about 3 1/2 four years and all of a sudden that of nowhere it’s going halfway through a cut and then that red light is coming on. I have no idea what’s going on.???
I received mine today from Cricut, installed no problem but it won't cut thru, it failed the set up test, I've tried multiple times even increasing the pressure but no luck, it partially cuts but it seems like it's in the same section where it's not cutting, any ideas?
@cricut your machines are horrible and you do not stand by your product. My machine was only 60 days out of warrantee and they did nothing!! ROSA AND VICTORIA BOTH SAID SORRY WE CAN NOT HELP YOU.

What are you doing??? Take it back and get another one.

i had to use the vinyl permanent option as oppossed to the Vinyl Removable option.

I learned the error code 45 means it's losing connection to the laptop or device your using

Mine did this but gave me an error code of 45, 54 custoner service didnt help
Mine won’t let me even set it up, it’s doing the same thing. Did they do anything for you ?

Warranty is the worst ever. I love my other Cricut machines it’s only this one that is horrible.
They hung up on me....Cricut is just as bad as HP. Moving to Brothers machines.
