Gradient of Braganza ghats is 1 in 37 as compared to 1 in 50 of Subramanya Road Sakleshpur line. So this line is steeper than Sakleshpur ghat line. That's the reason 3 bankers are attached here I think..

Good u chose not to travel till Pune. We made that mistake in the 2022 monsoon. One unparalleled time killer beyond Belagavi all the way till Pune. Thankfully we had a retiring room/dormitory booked in anticipation of delay beyond the expected very late night arrival

why dont they do doubling of lines where terrain is not challenging and required not significant investment it will only going to help railways in long run ,hope they think .

Coming to traction, I think this train can get E-Loco till Madgaon atleast. Anyway it undergoes reversal there. And partial route being unelectrified could be one reason for end to end diesel. Another reason could be non-availability of E-locos or facilities for loco change at any of the stations en-route, like Madgaon. But that being said, reg. the second reason, there are quite a few trains starting from Madgaon like Goa Rajdhani, Konkan Kanya and Mandovi, which gets E-loco from Madgaon, so I don't think E-loco availability is an issue here, what do u think sir?
Trains like Rajdhani, Konkankanya etc gets locos from other zones. KR does not have spare locos and if the incoming loco fails, they have to pull out a loco from a freighter.

Will get LHB from October 16th. I had planned for the inauguration run - the plan is put off for now.

1:09:50 I saw multiple references on change of signal system. Can anyone tell what were those changes? This line was a tokenless block territory with colour light signalling even in 2015. What changed now?
The old signal masts have been replaced with regular MACL signals. Trains used to stop at every station for brake testing - that has been done away now.
The TVC-CAN-TVC JS ICF rake is also in a good condition, hopefully SR operates it in another route like QLN-TEN or ERS-MAQ like that, instead of dismantling it. Wish that train a new era with LHB coaches.
The coaches will be used on the CLT JS for now. I really hope they start a new ERS TVC JS departing after Intercity in the morning.

It is better to run ers tvc js after intercity exp with PM at ERMCD. ERS needs a js exp to tvc.
