I bought the cheapest Sierra in the World! This Beech Sierra is the cheapest in the world because the engine fell off... Welcome to Jimmy's World
0:00 I'm going to need that

Don't stop until you have a 747.
😂👌🏽
F16?
A Boeing 747 or 747 airplanes? If it's the second, he only has 743 to go.
At the rate he is going, that will be next week!
Thought the whole plan was to get to a jet. But why not go for a 747 since he didn't specify what kind of jet.
Great videos Jimmy! Better than anything on TV. You are a gifted entertainer. Don’t change a thing either. You keep entertaining and sharing your a/c experiences with us. People have to learn to shut-up and laugh. Way too many angry people here today with opinions for OTHERS to abide by. Keep kicking ass Jimmy!! I love all the content. Continued success and best wishes!!
Ashtrays are still fitted so that if someone still smokes, they would hopefully be more likely to use the ashtray instead of a waste bin & risk a fire.
That’s interesting, I would’ve assumed that planes that still have ashtrays were just from before they banned smoking on commercial planes and would’ve added an AD or something to install no smoking signs
@@rasasvada1979 I used to visit a company that made the toilet & galley areas for commercial planes & they were still fitting the ashtrays a few years ago - complete with no smoking signs & smoke detectors... Some people just can't help themselves, it seems!
@@Mike.Howard Yep, your right. Saves the waste bin catching fire and the automatic halon bottle (if fitted) going of when it senses the heat. As most Cabin crew say, smoking is allowed in flight, just make your way to the end of the wing.😁
Let me answer your question about the ash trays… basically, even though it’s prohibited in flight by the FAA, the FAA still requires commercial aircraft to have ash trays because, if someone smokes regardless, it is safer to throw away the cigarette bud into the ash tray than the trash can or toilet. If they throw it in the toilet or trash can it can cause fire. If someone breaks the regulation and puts it in the ashtray, nothing happens. Just a fine to the passenger who broke the regulation.
Winning winner chicken dinner.
Yea, I expect they will finally revise those regulations about 2081. 😆
Love the proof that it isn't hard finding aircraft that are reasonably restore-able and with nice little gifts like an engine and stuff.
Keep the 78 Sierra. The 2nd door makes a huge difference. I own a 73 and love it. They are comfortable and are built like a tank.
This guy goes through more planes than an Iowa Hawkeyes fan goes through cans of Busch lite before an 11am game.
Even a beer can makes for better covering than doped cotton. Reason: Doped cotton has an expiration date. Empty beer can, Nah! not so much. 😉😛🍺🍻
Love your channel Jimmy. I look forward to watching your adventures, it’s a breath of fresh air and a great escape from the everyday gloom and doom from the worlds media. Thank you for brightening up the day, greetings from across the pond. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍👍👍
at the rate he is going, next week he will reveal he bought a private jet. Probably not, but would be interesting. Also good to hear that the C-310 will probably fly again, and may become a mascot of the channel.
HMM ..... Whatever happened to President Trump's private 757? Is it squirreled away in Jimmy's back yard?
@@jim874 .... President Trump still uses it. Best President ever.
I read through your post... maybe a little too fast. I thought I saw it to say a "C-130," and was scratching my head, thinking wow that's really ambitious and how did I miss that episode! Hehehe
@@ozziecrosby2092 😂 nice one. Needed a laugh. Thanks.
Poor man's Bonaza, cool airplane, we are actually thinking about one for a flying club airplane. The little button door on the right aft side is for checking the ELT power switch. Once you get the 310 going you will enjoy the hell out it.
Anytime my wife complains about my aircraft costs…I just send her some of your videos. Does the trick…thanks mate
Jimmy. You're a bright spot on the youtubes.. I hope you always have fun creating content and making it a fun place to stop on Sundays. Thank you!
My dad was Jimmy Nicholas Jones, haha. Not that Jimmy Jones from Ghana tho.nooooo. I think Jimmy, uh, Pastor Jimmy should pitch a reality show to the reality tv show producer people. Know of any looking for a hit show?
@@ellonysman Amen, Brother!
Kudos to you son who is brave enough to fly with you is the stuff you've picked up. I bet he loves it. Never a dull moment watching your video. I love it as well. Thanks for Sharing!
I love it Jimmy ,
Keep up the great work mate , saving the lives of every neglected Aircraft in Florida ,
I one day hope i will be back at Tampa Bay ! One day ,
I wish you well on your new project

Jimmy, love this channel. I’ve been a subscriber for several weeks now. I also happen to own a 1977 Sierra which I love. Mine goes about 130 to 135 knots true most days and I just got back from a 1200 nm xc each way. They are wonderful little airplanes. Be nice!
Jimmy, PLEASE don’t stop. The most daring, pleasantly informative and …….you missed your calling in stand up!
Great channel. I currently get my aviation fix watching you as well as a few needed laughs. I am a single/multi engine IFR commercially rated pilot that hasn't flown since 2006....but I hope to be able to do it again someday. Thank you Jimmy.
I continue to enjoy your channel and all that you do especially with aircraft. The original #Savethe310 segment and the follow up segment “News Break” were great. A great way to keep us updated on the 310. Keep them coming!!
The Beech is built WAAAAY better than the Cherokee. Build Quality doesn't even compare.
Hey Jimmy, new to your channel. Love all things mechanical and seeing forgotten neglected machines restored to proper use. I’m doing a car, a 69 Mustang my dad and I had plan to do together till he passed this year. Gonna use his money to put it all back to better than new. Got something special in mind for it also. Love seeing you working with your son, got two boys and two girls of my own.
at this rate, by the end of 2022 no "not working" airplane will be left :)
He could work ten life times and not make that. Visit a local municipal airport. It’s more like 97% waiting for the hangar doors to open and they never do. Really sad how many airplanes get little to NO use at all.
I think you are totally incorrect, Jimmy is destined to ALWAYS have a plane that's almost dead, or already dead, and one or two that are still flying!😂
Clear prop!!
Your kids are the luckiest to have a dad like you
Your channel is fantastic, Jimmy! It is very rare indeed to find an individual with a wilder imagination than my daughter! 😂😂 You somehow make the story of ye old airplanes so fascinating I can't wait for your next vid! 👍
I love the sneezing intro!!! Another RUclips classic brought to you by Jimmy.
The Production in this video is amazing… I’m in love with this Channel already😂😂😂
Just realized you have a VSETT 10+. Nice! I'm the owner of REV Rides and I've followed your channel for awhile. Found your "10 best airplanes for families" video originally and found it really useful. Cheers man.
Raise flaps to increase brake effectivenes ... I've got the same radio in my 1980 Beech Skipper - they still work fine if you one want one channel!!
Sierra is a great plane, a little slow but like an aerial SUV with that bog baggage door and loading from both sides. We used to put bikes and and all kinds of stuff in the back for trips. Build quality was great, just felt solid like an old Cadillac. Would love to have one again.
Jimmy, keep your adventures coming. You are an inspiration to us all.
Opened the trunk of the Corvette and out popped your mechanic! That’s an awesome find!
Great planes and awesome entertainment as always! But 15 minutes feels short.
We just need Hoovie from Hoovie's Garage to get the Corvette. What a combo video that would be
True
This dude is basically Hoovie with airplanes
Except he does most of the work himself, and doesn’t pay the Car Wizard 🤡
@@dangraf4410 Dr. Phil?
Jimmy, keep sporadically introducing us to your alter-egos, makes a real fun story.
This house is 10 minutes from me! New PPL ‘on the prowl’ for a family hauler, it’s nuts to see this in parts. Looking forward to the follow up.
Absolutely love your videos, you’re doing an awesome job. I like that Sierra!!!
Great Save Jimmy..luv the breaking new! You inspire me every day.lol.
Underpowered, sure...but I've always liked the lines and roominess of the Sierra! Just a classically beautiful airplane. Maintained a Musketeer for a while...so much more spacious than a Cherokee...
LOL. I like the stolen U-Haul blanket that says "Never to be sold." :-)
I liked the seats in the single engine Beech. Your sitting up in them like a chair in the living room. Also the trailing link suspension never needed maintenance. Beech makes quality planes.
Rev. "The Engine" Jimmy, getting airplanes closer to the Heavens one twisted bolt at a time.
The little button you pushed in on the tail is for the ELT switch. Should have placard stating that.
I know the answer to the ashtray weirdness, by the way. I worked for a bit with a Boeing design team, and they told me about it. Mike Howard (below) knows, too. Better in an ashtray than in the restroom waste bin. The waste bin works as a chimney: get a fire in that an you are in trouble. So, an ashtray in case.
We aircraft mechanics watch Jimmys world while doing our paperwork here at Talon Air. Very funny guy.
This makes me nostalgic for the Musketeer I used to have. That’s the fixed gear version of the Sierra. I learned to fly in that guy.
These videos get better and better! Excited to hear my local airport ATIS going off in the background, I probably saw you fly by XD
Keep up the great content! I want your autograph next time you fly into KLAL 🤣🤩
My neighbor has an airplane that’s been sitting in his backyard for years. It looks to be all intact still. Southern CA.
Find out more Info and email me at jiminize1@yahoo.com
Jimmy has the 22nd largest air force second to the Taliban.
LMFAO
Thank you mister!
I've been told the ashtrays were for flew crew to put out a cigarette when someone is caught. Can't throw it out the window lol who knows could be wrong.
You should also use Jr. bush for his years using That White Powder while A-WOL from the Air National Guard.
Do you have video proof of your accusation about Bush because all of America has seen the videos of what a loser family *Biden has raised. Even the daughter's lost or stolen or what ever diary that the FBI is hunting down telling how old Joe jumped into the shower with her.
@@jwyzdm boring
@@nickatkinson5692 Really, which part bores you? The fact that *Biden raised a loser drug addict son or that he is a hair sniffing, child touching pervert that got in the shower with his daughter. That 2nd issue would have any Republican out of office and probably in jail if we had a real press and not a propaganda machine for the Socialist.
You are amazing!!!!! Add very brave!!!! Admire your drive and business sense!
The ash tray is for holding coins when you go through the toll booth
Gold!!!
I really enjoy watching your shows. Good entertainment. Love the humor. Keep em coming.
Maybe jimmy needs to buy an A & P school. That way he can get a source of mechanics for his growing fleet of aircraft.
“And these fold up… most of the time on purpose.” I don’t know why that made me chuckle so long… lol
I want one of your planes to be painted in the "Fandango" parachute school theme
Properly maintained, a good entry level retractable.
Until the hydraulic power pack decides not to work. The last time I had to send one out for repair, B&S in Wichita was the ONLY shop in the U.S. that would touch one.
Love your videos! The planes are awesome and so are your explanations and your kid does such a good job recording everything!
This is funny stuff, Loving it Mr Jimmy. Ron
Hi, great deal. Fit it with a turboprop, like royal turbine. Maybe it has a stc for beech.
So far for me this is your best video!!! Keep it up sir!!! I need to take class with you!!! Looking to buy my first airplane!! Can’t find anything reasonable priced.
It not only has the extra seat but it's also retractable. The weight of another person, nearly. With 5 big fellas inside you might be able to put a gallon of fuel in it. Or fill it up and use it as a car.
For real, just because it has seats doesn’t mean you can use them… lol
I think your one nutter that I could watch all day and never get bored. Keep them coming Jimmy. Very entertaining. :)
Love your content! Keep it up Jimmy 😊
Amazing the last passenger to use the extra seat at the back must have been a time traveller - they left their face mask behind.
Thank you for the video.
I heard from an FAA liason that the reason ashtrays exist on even commercial planes is not because smoking is allowed, but to have a place to extinguish something small that is burning inside of the plane
On the topic of ashtrays on airplanes in the bathrooms - they have them there in case someone somehow tries to smoke. If there is no ashtray they will likely throw it in the garbage and it can start a fire. It’s better than they have the ashtray to get the person smoking to properly dispose of it vs starting a fire.
I own a 75 Beech Sierra, much better condition than these 2 but I'm glad you are going to fix them up and get them flying. I know the video is old but it's great to see! It's not fast but man do they have way more room than a Cessna or a Piper and that is everything! Very stable.
3:14 Ashtray but top right says no smoking 😂 💀
Hurry up old man and get it running Im ready to hear that big roller cam in that big high performance motor soar to life 🤞
Haven't flown a Sierra, but must say it is good looking..... Huge cargo door!
My 'plane is also 2-door (great safety factor).
I have same problem when in hangar working on the instr. panel....bright daylight
coming thru windscreen makes it hard to see panel . If you need to video panel,
maybe do as I do and throw a sheet over the windscreen.
I always called that the Don Jr. Two side of the same coin I guess.
So... You said in one of your vids.....what would some of us like to see you revive next!!! Well, my choice would be a Beach Craft stagger wing !!! 🤪👍😎🛩️
Crazy. I looked at a 70 Mooney to buy in Clearwater before I bought my Cherokee 🎉. Beautiful area though except for the monsoon weather that week.
Love the videos. I wish I were able to finish my PPL.
You have me hooked. LOL Just reel me in and hit me with the jimmy bat. I am waiting for it.
Cool. Recommend you and your passenger use that shoulder harness.
Eagerly waiting for the next post
In the back seat compartment of the second one I see a Beechcraft battery cover - just like my Skipper!
Love this channel!
Jimmy love your channel man lol it’s nice to learn about planes ✈️ not just semis and cars and trucks
Next channel will be Jimmy’s plane lot!
“I got this one from a little old lady in Pasadena”
“Fresh rebuild”
“Paint by Earl Shive”
Keep up the great work.
“Saving them one at a time”
At the moment, it looks like he's saving them four or five at a time!
@9:58 - Those aren't just some "old cars" - those were old Corvettes! That was some serious money sitting in that corner of the garage!
3:20.. they put ashtrays so if someone did light up a cigarette even if it's illegal. He'll find somewhere to put it off.
These videos are entertaining. Keep up the good, Jimmy 👏🏼👏🏼
Awesome video Jimmy.
Positive rate, gear up!
Your videos make me feel like a kid again... Mostly because it always feels like I'm looking up at you from about 4 feet off the floor... (Sorry Silas, j/k I couldn't help myself! You are actually a pretty impressive cameraman tbh!) I might be looking for a plane here soon after I get my license. I'll email you guys when I'm ready!
Jimmy your one of a kind.
Thanks for the laughs.
I hate to see planes mistreated/ unloved. Best landing gear. Nice Beech.
Hey I had a 1978 pinto, but my Dad had a 1940's piper cub when he was 15 years old.
Dude your videos are awesome. keep them coming 😎
Interior fire no smoking
The ashtray is where you put your toll tokens.
;)
Thats a neat plane.
That's awesome. I was glad to donate to the 310.
I must say I had my doubts going into this one, especially that 2nd plane. But I saw that "Dr. Phil" is there and I was reassured. Just saying, usually the money-to-noise converter and the spinny things come attached.
I think we need to do an intervention with you, young James!
Looks great
