Nah, it just would have been confusing since we already saw who Wanda's parents were in 616... adding that in without the ability to explain it would have just been confusing.
Like it's difficult to imagine anyone playing Logan but Jackman, the same goes for Magneto now. Fassbender was perfect, and I'd really love to see him return as that character to the MCU
What about Ian McKellen as Magneto?
I can imagine someone else as Logan. But they need to be a more comic accurate Logan. Short (if you ask me, that's the most important part), hairy, and forever angry. Hugh's Logan wasn't nearly as default mood = pissed off. So long as the MCU Logan is much more comic-accurate, I can see it being a different actor.
Plus I'd love it if the actor had a more deep, rough voice like in most of the animated TV series.

They actually hinted in WandaVision that Wanda and Pietro were mutants. When Agatha is flashbacking through Wanda's life, we find out that Wanda and Pietro were the only ones that were able to withstand the experiments with the Tesseract. They hint that there was something different about them, but they never tell us what.
I'm so tired of Marvel cutting good stuff. The deleted scenes from Black Widow, for instance. The release left a LOT of questions... the scenes they cut made it make sense and honestly would have made the entire plot MUCH better! Whoever is making these choices, needs to go over to Sony.

What if I told you we have already had Magneto introduced as Wanda's father. Stay with me, the events of Westview were projections based off her "dreams" of her alternate versions, thus the kids. Well another projection was that of Quicksilver portrayed by the QS from X-Men Apocalypse were we knew his father to be Magneto. Now i know this QS was eventually said to be an actor but that projection was based off an alternate reality where he was her brother, maybe why she "recognized" him as Pietroff initially. Again so if this is the case then we would've already had Magneto introduced as Wanda's father as well. Pretty rogue theory, i know, but hey i think it could make a little sense lol.

Xmen 1964 book 4 originally Magneto is the father of Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Polaris.
What if... The Pietro that died in AoU was actually a Skrull and the real Pietro is still alive after the events of Secret Invasion.
Putting Magneto in would be interesting, but that takes away more from it being a Doctor Strange movie. Something like that belongs into a Scarlett Witch solo film. They should had never even thought about killing Mordo when he's a main Dr. Strange villain from the start. Dr. Strange 2 should had been Nightmare and Mordo, and this somewhat multiverse movie should had been something else

But what you seem to be missing is that these movies aren't just stand alone features. This movie was essential to move the entire MCU to were it's going for the conclusion to Phase 4. This was probably the single most important movie in Phase 4 for setting up the next Avengers movie. If you use this movie just to show Dr. Strange against his base villains, then the entire MCU is now floundering and going nowhere, and they have to find a new way to reach the conclusion.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are lining up America Chavez to star in her own TV series, they could have her transversing the multiverse learning to control and maximise her powers while looking for Strange. I can even see it crossing over with Loki in this regard. I just think that with the multiverse war breaking out she could well become a critical component of the storyline with her power set.
Yeah they did the same thing with Thor 3. They tried making it a Jane and Gorr movie and we got a terrible plot that didnt do the the characters any justice.

I believe that the reason the other Wanda is weaker is cause The Scarlet Witch is a Nexus (only one) being/force and can travel multiverse. It chose the 616 Wanda to be The Scarlet Witch and she is the stongest of them all. No other universe has a Scarlet Witch.
My theory is it’ll be Loki Kang vs. Another evil version of Kang after One Who Remained died…..616 was the last stable timeline so Wanda breaking that makes no sense for One who’s plan, have to remember he literally let the avengers time travel, but that’s because they didn’t change anything except for them surviving, which he needs for them to kill the other Kangs, which he already knew just like he knew everything coming in Loki.
Would be great so see Michael's Magneto again and establish that he is Wanda & Pietro's father in a possible later film. Would have also loved to see the additional 40 minutes.

Ian is more suitable for the role of Wanda's father, Michael is too young, not much older than Elizabeth Olsen, also it would be weird to have Patrick Stewart but not Ian in the same universe.

The movie already felt like they packed a LOT of content into the timespan. I’m glad for the deleted scenes being deleted. However, as an X-men fan, it would’ve been cool to see Xavier do the psychic lobotomy on Wanda. It would’ve fortified the concept that the Illuminati isn’t necessarily a force for good, but a group that makes the “tough choices.” It also would’ve explained why the council was so over confident in their ability to handle the Scarlet Witch. They would’ve been basing that confidence on their own lobotomized Wanda’s power level and got surprised by just how powerful the Scarlet Witch of 616 was. And would’ve giving 838 Wanda a bit more depth of character. I don’t really think the Magneto involvement would’ve been too important, just fan service.

Tbh, all I want is for them to bring in Lorna Dane from the Gifted universe (played by Emma Dumont). The Gifted is an amazing X-Men show, probably the only X-Men property ever, including comics (except maybe District X), to really show the actual struggles that mutants go through. Not just the superheroes fighting the big robots, but the individual people, struggling to survive in a world where they're hated, outlawed, and hunted.
Emma Dumont's performance was amazing, and bringing in her Lorna, who is a daughter of Magneto, and having her start to bond with wanda is best case scenario. You have them grow close, become like sisters (full obi wan and anakin style), and so you've got Wanda close with an actual daughter of magneto without fully getting rid of the comics where she isn't the daughter of magneto

@@dabbzgaming3971 Tragic they gave it the BORING name "The Gifted", because, at its best, it's THE BEST super-hero ANYTHING many of us have ever seen. Brilliant and mature and clever. (Just like THE BOYS is amazing but that bland name keeps millions of fans away from trying it.)
GOTHAM (the Batman prequel TV show) was genius and bonkers too, at its best, and I don't like most CBMs or tv shows. (Another fatally-bland name too.)

Also check out INHUMANS tv show. So good! (I'm totally kidding. It's THE WORST superhero anything i've ever seen. Impossibly bad.)

The second series of Gotham was pretty epic and was followed by Gotham City totally losing control. Quite clever because it gives you a kind of timeline into the way Gotham became a town filled with murderous gangs of psychopaths and sociopaths constantly terrorising the people there. The films tend to concentrate on the origins of just the main protagonists and antagonists but not on how the city collapsed and the environment that led to the rise of the dysfunctional situation.
We all would love to see Emma Dumont and Elizabeth Olsen acknowledged on record. Long overdue.
As a Marvel fan, I already knew magneto was Wanda's dad, but it would have been awesome to see it on the big screen.
They should have had a scene where Magneto objected to the lobotomy and fought the Illuminati and died in that universe. Something Wanda from 616 would have been able to find out about from accessing her variants memories, and leading her to go berserk and murder the Illuminati.
Would also set up the memory for 616 Wanda to realize she may have had a father(maybe even just as a donor) in the 616 universe.

I don't think killing Mordo would have been smart. We got a nice setup for him to be a villain in the future im the first movie, so to just kill him off instantly would be such a waste.
If they kept the opening scene of Wanda killing MCU Mordo, that would be unfair to Mordo's arc that were built up in the first movie. It would be a disservice to kill him, in favor of Wanda being the villain of the movie as the opening sequence. We will see more of MCU Mordo in Doctor Strange 3.

I bet they are saving that Mordo scene in Dr. Strange 3, and hopefully Wanda will return. Not in Dr. Strange 3, but in the future. And I'm still satisfied that we still got this much for Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. They're probably saving those scenes later on in future MCU movies. And I'm super stoked for the MCU Fantastic Four movie, which I hope John Krasinski is still going to be our main Mr Fantastic. Along with Emily Blunt as Invisible Woman and whoever else to be Human Torch, Thing, Dr. Doom, and some others. Also super excited for the X-Men to come in the MCU.

But it should be Ian McKellen not Fassbender because that would be weird because Earth 838's Professor X is Patrick Stewart not James MacAvoy. And I think that would mean Fassbender could be the 616's Magneto also. I want Fassbender's suit to be comic accurate the red and blue suit.
Yeah that is what I was thinking. I would’ve enjoyed the scene in the moment, but I would’ve been wondering why they went with Fassbender’s Magneto instead of McKellen’s Magneto. Especially since Fassbender’s Magneto would’ve looked a little bit young to be Wanda’s father and grandfather to her kids

@@acuteberry5662 That could make sense. Maybe James McAvoy was one of the other 5 cameos cut. Then years latter we got what is in the movie after Professor X aged. Of course that mean we would have got a younger Illuminti, or other members that where dead, or retired by the time MoM happened. Maybe that is where the Tom Cruse Iron Man was being there where signs that Iron man existed all over the Illuminti with the Ultron bots, and all.

They literally said the 818 Dr. Strange was dream walking looking for a way to defeat Thanos. It's the reason they killed him.
The 818 Wanda was weaker because she didn't go through the events of the 616 Wanda. Ultron was a success so her home city wasn't destroyed. She didn't watch her brother die in front of her. Vision was never made so she didn't have to murder him then watch he get killed by Thanos. The Scarlet witch is far more powerful then the Wanda we see at the begining of age of ultron as well.

Great video! Very interesting. I also agree I feel like Multiverse of madness should have been a pull out the stops kind of a movie! They should’ve just added the extra half hour or whatever and thrown in a crap ton of cameos. Additionally, we wanted to see more universes. Anyway, it is what it is I guess. It would’ve been cool though to have maybe another strange.

They are definitely setting up magneto as Wanda's father, which is why we don't get into any background of her parents aside from them being instantly killed by a missile. No face, no body, nothing. I'd be shocked if they didn't do this
I think the cut we got of the opening was fine so that you were surprised that Wanda had gone full dark after she has the conversation with strange in the apple orchard

Magneto basically IS an X-men member. Across all the years, he’s been on X-men teams or led them nearly or almost equally as often as he was a villain. He hasn’t been a villain for a very long time. An anti-hero at best.

Well he is in the comics aswell as nightcrawler and rogues adopted father i would love to see a rogue and scarlet witch fight yet

LOL, no.. Wanda can't beat Ghost Rider well the original Johnny Blaze one. Unless she tricks him and sends him into another dimension or something that's the only way. Ghost Rider has resistance to Magic and can't be killed. That's probably why that was scrapped no way she's beating or killing Ghost Rider. Unless they weaken or change Ghost Rider that's the only way Wanda wins
I'm learning from all these cut scenes that the movie had the potential to be SO MUCH better than what we were given...
Reason was that it would've taken the spotlight away from doctor strange which wasnt even fixed by removing these so they should have kept it anyway

They need to go with that story line. Easily explained. He wanted them to live a quiet life in sacovia
