The mutliverse of madness was a great looking movie. The third eyeball was not a great looking effect. Hopefully they tidy that up for future films.

This movie may not be everyones fav but it made two of my favourite characters have have such incredible power.
The film. Was perfect it’s just the ending that’s lack lustre because of development issues

It showed how dr.strange uses his powers so different same with wanda went from using telekinesis with magic to destroying reality

It lets him see the future. Illuminati Strange could see the future and had used the darkhold. Sinister Strange had it too, and Strange seemed awfully comfortable about leaving with Clea, almost like he's had time to think about it.

@@fromkieran the Eye of Aggamato was one of several relics that Dr Strange possessed in the comics. it's not a hastily added thing. He had at least the Cloak of Levitation, the Eye of Ammagato, those spotted gloves that controlled his trembling hands which were a problem for him making the somatic movements for shaping magical energy (and doing surgery) and the Orb of Ammagato that turned out to have the time stone in it i guess. He may have had more but i don't recall seeing any others.
When I first saw Doctor Strange getting the eye, I thought it was the “dead” Sinister Strange dream walking into our Doctor Strange.
Same, until I watched this video.
In the first Doctor Strange the Ancient One told him to open his eye and he went flying through the multiverse then. He might have always had the eye. He just evolved when he used the chaos magic.
It could be a visual tell to say he's on the same level as Dark Strange now. Just like a Pokémon!

It kind of reminds me of the Eye of Agamotto, but he could have been corrupted by the Dark Chaos magic after his fight with Wanda. It makes sense that he acquires the third eye. It’s really cool actually!

Are we sure it was the darkhold? He also held the book of Vishanti, even if just momentarily. I would think the ability of seeing your hidden enemies, would be a good weapon against ones foes.
Or, it could be the Eye of Agamoto, since it's the Eye that granted him the third eye in the comics.

How would one adjust to the expanded field of view and the resolution of image from three eyes?
It was metaphysical in the comics and Scott Derrickson's excellent film.
But the MCU's IQ has fallen off a cliff - each film is dumber than the previous one - so here we are.

Good analysis, but I think Erik's point that this is some kind of curse from using the Darkhold, which Strange is taking far to lightly, has to be correct as well.
Nope it’s the real eye of agamotto, it’s a 5x level up for him. They bringing him to 1970s and late 80s OP strange, to take Wanda place as op in the mcu.

The third eye (also called the mind's eye or inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric invisible eye, usually depicted as located on the forehead, which provides perception beyond ordinary sight.

In Dr.Strange first part the Dr strange mentioned that he has a photographic memory which means he can memorize anything simply just by looking at it. Thus when he read darkhold it gets printed in his brain giving him the Third Eye 👁

The first few minutes of this movie really scared me. About the time the lamp post went through the monsters pupil I was worried this movie was gonna be a bunch of overblown cgi fights. It’s definitely one of the best additions to the mcu in a long time

The thing that bothers me is that the magic battle against the two most powerful magic users in the mcu was so underwhelming. Now I have to wait another 5 years for the next Dr strange movie to see it...

Side effects of using darkhold, but It can be a great assets of Dr. S but the more important is he can control it not being overpowered by the cursed.

Crazy idea, what if for this movie they filmed like different versions of the movie and whenever you went you didn't know which movie you were gonna see. Because it's multiverse of madness. Like obviously it would still have its main important parts but any cameos or stuff that wouldn't affect long term stuff would be different scenes every time.

I have a little 5 min spiderman storybook and one of the stories is called sleepy spider. Peter is having a hard time sleeping because the villain Nightmare is in his head causing said nightmares. Peter goes to Strange and when Strange goes to look in Peter's head, Strange has the third eye in his forehead so this might mean that he could use it as a tool that he could use to look inside people's minds

we all expected a wilder battle with Wanda than the one he had with Thanos. Maybe Wanda also saying "you are full of tricks wizard"
I haven't seen if someone else suggested this, but my thought is that 616 Strange is actually being dream-walked by another Strange. Maybe even the Sinister Strange that we thought he killed (the third eye opened up after all). That would explain why he appears so chill afterwards.

Nah.. I'm sorry but that's not interesting story wise and would make the audience feel betrayed.
Imagine watching the next avengers or midnight sons where strange shows up, he's only going to have enough time for a sub plot and within that sub plot we would eventually find out he's being controlled?
That would be like having a reveal at the end of this movie that Wanda is being controlled.
It's much easier to convince the audience that the decisions made, bad or good, are done by OUR character, not a 3rd party we know nothing about and thus don't care for.
Wanda and the strange variants are corrupted, it's what they showed in the movie so it's obvious that it's what gets foreshadowed for 616 Strange's future.
The question is if he is able to control it or if it will control him and drive him mad like Wanda, 838 and sinister strange. My guess is yes, since this movie taught us 616 strange is different from all the rest.

I have a question...if the eye of agamoto can see through or pass an allusion when the time stone was inside of the eye of agamoto whenever doctor strange uses the eye what does the eye see in the stone or through the stone?
Honestly it freaked me out a little bit seeing the third eye appear randomly

I’m going to go watch it again in a few hours. IMAX I must say I was very disappointed the first time I seen the movie. Release date first showing. I was super excited about it but it fell short of my expectations. However I’m going again today! True Fan of Marvel giving it another chance

@@Oibble probably people hyping themselves up on trailers and theories about it being some huge MCU gamechanger that would introduce mutants and etc. Instead it's just a really cool Dr Strange movie, and people refused to accept that for what it is.
@@Oibble One is they punked the Illuminati. I don't want to see those characters again after they lost so easily. They should have worked together to kick evil-Wanda out of their universe. In fact from the previews I figured one or more of them would go on the quest to help our Doctor Strange.

Wanda is a witch, Strange not. Sorcery and witchcraft seem to be different, so maybe that's why they are affected different.
The darkhold affects users differently. Plus Wanda is a witch, not a sorcerer, different magic

I have a very curious question. How is it that strange got the third eye by using a sliver of choas magic or using the darkhold but Wanda/Scarlett witch never did. Am I missing anything on why that is? Or is it just never fully explained at all
