Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has TWO post-credit scenes, following an insane film packed with cameos and dark lore. But why does Doctor Strange have his third eye? Before Professor-X engage in his fight with wanda, he says to stephen the line "Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, doesn't mean they're lost forever." This line is taken directly from the movie X-men: Days of future past!
That's why it was so familiar to me! Thanks, and Future Past is a good movie
Cought that too
Yep I jsut so it jumped when I heard it
That’s cool but also kinda shows the main issue with the film. It’s created as a means for cheap cameos and larger plot connections. On its own, it’s a very shallow film. The writers should have spent less time copy-pasting to fill in those one liners, and more time developing the characters for us to connect with them in a deep way
@@captainradio5894 exactly as I’ve been saying. It was the same with No Way Home as well, both movies are very eh enjoyable but that’s large in part due to the cameos. No Way Home would have been absolute garbage without the cameos but Multiverse Of Madness was actually a good movie just not as good as it could have really been of the trailers didn’t reveal so much of the movie
I enjoyed the movie, just wish there was more multiverse. And how good would it have been if they didn’t reveal Prof X in trailers? They shouldn’t have shown any of the Illuminati in promos, would’ve been insane seeing them in the movie for the first time.
Exactly,it almost feels disappointing now
@C12 well, judging that they announced a fantastic 4 movie coming down the line, it can easily be assumed they are only dead in that universe.
@C12 don't worry they are just varient in their respective universe
Hell yeah but still good movie
Agreed
Going into this movie completely blind was such an experience, the crowd cheered when they saw Reed Richards and cheered even louder when Professor X showed up
I was so happy until they all died 10 minutes after
that xmen theme song ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh SOOOO GOOODD ITS FREAKING LOOOONG TIME THAT I HEARD THAT SONG ARGHHH!

So far, Dr Strange 2 is the very first movie for me to go "It should've been longer". Like, the movie was great, but I felt that there was so much more room for storytelling, like maybe another 30 mins of runtime could've introduced us to another part of the multiverse
i agree i think it should have been quite a bit longer
They DEFINITELY held back
It was like
Let’s produce a fabulous movie and give them just enough to do whatever the hell we want in the next decade.
I could’ve easily watched two more hours of that.
Exactly. NWH could've been fine with 2hours and 6 minutes if I judge by the amount of story that was there. Dr. Strange 2 definitely needed more runtime.
There were also no big fight at the end either, it just ends lol.
@@MainakRoyleomainakroy Most definitely. If Marvel had given Dr Strange 2 the runtime equal to that of The Batman, we could've seen so much more. Possibly even a glimpse of Strange Supreme from What If!
That movie was the closest thing to a horror movie Marvel will ever produce.
it really did feel like it when wanda attacked the illuminati
It didnt' come close to a horror movie
@@Designsecrets Really? Wanda ripping through the Illuminati compound, killing everyone in classic horror movie fashion? That was pretty horrifying.

In the first Dr Strange movie he mentions how he has a photographic memory which helped him ace medical school and learn the knowledge from the books at Kamar Taj super fast, so him reading the darkhold means it’s ingrained in his memory. Marvel really hasn’t been known to mislead hype in trailers. They hide stuff but I’m shocked that this movie was made out to be some MCU game changer & really it was just a cool DS movie.
You are missing the bigger picture though. It is a game changer.
Mentioned of The Incursion means what? Secret Wars. Doctor Doom, God King Doom. The implication to this and where MCU will go next are so much bigger in scope. In the grand scheme of things, DS2 is just a teaser for what they have plans for the future.

I loved the movie. Only issue was there was not enough Multiverse... We seen like 2 different universes. Ik we had the scene of them flying through a bunch but that was breif. I would have loved Strange and America running through different universes from wanda
I mean, the whole movie opened with Strange from one universe, then we met our main Strange in our main universe, who traveled to another universe where the Illuminati was, before he was teleported to another universe again where «evil» Strange was. And then he used dreamwalking on the first Strange’s corpse, which was buried in another universe than it’s own, before America showed Wanda the third universe again during the final battle. And keeping in mind that it’s a Doctor Strange movie, I think it holds up.

I have to say, seeing Wanda just destroy an entire team of super heroes was not what I was expecting. Makes me think that if Strange could portal Wanda to Titan, we wouldn’t even need Endgame
Nah, Thanos had enough infinity stones at that point to be a force to reckon with.
But they should've shown doctor strange a bit stronger than they actually ended up doing.
It was like a Wanda movie it u ask ne
That was scarlet witch tho not wanda
Back in Infinity War it wasnt the Scarlet Witch
Vision was the only thing keeping Wanda from being the Scarlet Witch; he even suggested them both taking exile because of ....the inevitable
You notice Wanda didn’t get a third eye and neither did Agatha, however we only saw two versions on strange wield a third eye. Could the be because he has a photographic memory which would allow him to remember all the spells within the dark hold. While Wanda had to go to Wundagore mountain to continue casting spells from the book. I think that is why he is cursed with that third eye because he can still draw from the dark hold spells that he has memorized while Wanda and Agatha can only use the spells while reading from the book.
So he’s kind of a living Darkhold, eh?

Legend has it that the 2 hour and 40-minute cut of the film is 40 minutes longer because of a singular fight scene between Morbius and Wanda. they wanted to cut down the fight a little and make Wanda win, but nothing worked properly because there's just no way Morbius wouldn't win that fight, so they just scrapped the whole scene.

The movie was good but when you call it “multiverse of madness” people expect a whole lot of multiverse stuff but on the flip side, fans shouldn’t dislike something because of their unreal expectations
Marvel only got themselves to blame, they created so much hype then it's no wonder people have a high expectations
Totally agreed
They passed through a lot of Multiverse in the movie but yeah the movie must be named " Dr.Strange Vs (or) and Scarlet Witch"
I don’t think multiverse of madness is a bad title, but yeah my expectations were pretty high so to the hype they created

Captain Carter's hair was looking fabulous, like damn
There’s a lot of people in these comments that say they dislike the fact that there wasn’t enough of the multiverse seen throughout the movie, which is fine. However, there’s only so much they can put in a two-hour movie and maybe they didn’t want to over complicate things for the viewer. Spending an extra 20 minutes just to go through the multiverse with no real purpose for doing so or so Wanda can send demons after them/chase them would make the movie feel more drawn out and lazy. The pacing was perfect and anything else added probably would’ve ruined that alone.
someone hadda say it
I would’ve loved that regardless of how tacky it might’ve been
I think the phrase "multiverse of madness" is not implying in this movie alone but in other upcoming mcu movies.
They DEFINITELY held back though
It was like
Let’s produce a fabulous movie and give them just enough to do whatever the hell we want in the next decade.
I could’ve easily watched two more hours of that.
Agreed. I actually thought the film was flawless.
Remember, Strange has photographic memory, so maybe he still has knowledge of what he read in the darkhold

My favorite part of the movie is when Doctor Strange opens a portal and then Morbius the Marvel Legend jumps through and says his catchphrase “It’s mobrin time” and totally morbs everyone
3 eyes dose not automatically mean evil, in a lot of cases it tends to more often represent enlightenment, seems to me that strange after his adventure in the film happen to unlock the ability to manifest his 3rd eye, as he seems to do it at will after the break down on the street when he unlocks it
Specifically in the movie, Sinister Strange says that using the Darkholt has consequences when explaining his third eye. So our Doctor Strange gaining a third eye Is indicated heavily to be the result of the Darkholt's corruptive influence. Not to say Strange is going evil, mind you, just that it's a mark of that particular evil book.

Yup! Even with small screen time. I am in love with him playing the character. Hope he's the mcu mr. Fantastic and we can see more action from him
Fans: want John as Mr Fantastic!
Marvel: your wish has been heard and it shall be done
I'm so so so happy that I only watched the first trailer and went into the movie essentially blind. Having now watched the trailers, they gave waayyy too much away.
I just feel all of the references to the What If series, and how comfortable Hayley Atwell etc. were in their roles, the similarities of the monsters found in the wormholes and what was sent after America Chavez by the Scarlet Witch, I feel it has a large role to play and point us in different directions going forward. Do you think the multiverse has been broken multiple times now? Once in No Way Home, once in Loki, at least once(Darkhold being destroyed in all universes has to upset some balance) if not multiple times in Multiverse of Madness!
Fiege confirmed that it started to happen in Loki when Sylvie killed that Kang variant.
Whatever happened in NWH could've been avoided if Kang was alive, so that's like a last thread kinda thing.
Whether the darkhold being eliminated has consequences, its too early to say for now.
@@damunaik4 yeah, Kang dying is what allowed “What If…?”, No Way Home, and Multiverse of Madness to happen. So the events of those movies, and any future movies or shows, are just exploring the multiverse.
@@damunaik4 a dark hold being destroyed will definitely have consequences. it was a major plot point in the movie and there was no way they would feature that without coming back to it. the dark hold also was a copy in our universe so there's no way of knowing how many copies are out there and how many other temples exist so there's still plenty of dark magic available
Wait so Wanda is going around killing ppl and just get to say “oops sorry my bad”?

I’m pretty sure that’s more Raimi than Marvel. Raimi is a master of “Funhouse Horror.”
I really enjoyed the "fight" between scarlet witch and the illuminati, well calling it a fight is a bold statement i have to admit, really shows just how much more powerful wanda is now with the abilities of the darkhold
I think a more apt description is the slaughter of the illuminati
so underwhelming imo.. i know scarlet witch is OP but come on.. captain marvel... smh
I liked the movie, but after NHW, I feel like expectations were way too high in terms of cameos. I was truly hoping for one of the post credits to allude to the fantastic four featuring Reed Richards
Fan expectations will always be high, but I think it was mishandled on Marvel’s part since they revealed so much footage beforehand.
@@Andrew-ww1hz I 100% agree. I think they should’ve teased the illuminati in the trailers, but kept all the members a secret, specifically Patrick Stewart.

I'm pretty sure they kind of confirmed John Krasinski as the 616 Reed Richards. When Strange first sees him he says "didn't you guys go platinum in the 60s?"
I feel like that's a hint at the real Fantastic Four disappearing in the 60s, and we'll see them come back to present day in their own movie
I though that too, but he says "didn't you guys chart in the 60's" I think it was more a joke about having a corny band type name, than an actual superhero team. If they were around in the 60s they could've been a team of astronauts lost in space or they would've been a team over 60 years prior.
It's literally just a Beatles reference/joke.
I think it was just a meta joke on the name Fantastic Four.
@@TheVarietyGuy You literally don't know that lol. Did you write the scene?
This is a movie that definitely would’ve benefited from a longer run time I feel. For me I’m kinda disappointed because I wish we got a gotten more of an explanation or at least a mention of an X-Men team I was kind of hoping we could have dive more into each member of the illuminati like if they were apart of any teams or anything like that
If we spent too much time on the illuminati it would’ve felt like a waste when they all died super easily
Then you would have had to do the same for BlackBolt ect.
It was a Doctor Strange movie, though. They couldn't focus an entire subplot on an X-Men team or the Illuminati background.

X men are mutants. There you go.
I loved how contained this movie is and isn't full of filler scenes it's pace is perfectly and I find that the movie had the perfect way to treat cameos in a funny and brutal way and isn't over blotted. I feel the same. I loved it and can't wait to see it again, but I wish it was 2 hours and 30 minutes long. I wouldn't have minded seeing a few more universes and getting to actually see a bit of them, like we did with that one universe.
Yeah thats one thing that I noticed, I found there was almost no filler but I kind of wish there was some more exposition of some sort because we barely saw the 'multiverse'. Or at least I thought we would see more of the multiverse

I don't think so, Strange's Third Eye is due to Dark Hold but another Eye of Agamotto due to his Pure intentions of Saving America unlike other versions of Him. And also I wonder what is the Red Streak on the streets of Evil Strange universe

@@sparkypandamonkey and the fact that Wong was not bothered about it tells something
I'm wondering about what strange said while visiting the other multiverse with the Illuminati, he said that Mordo of his universe tried to kill him at one point, which we haven't seen anywhere so far, so there is definitely a story to tell, which is set between Dr strange 1&2
@@sparkypandamonkey yea not sure when our Strange had time to practice those spells but they do establish that this ability exists in the What If series. It also gives you an origin on how Peggy became Captain Carter.
@@ahmedirfanp maybe since Mordo tried to kill Strange, he told Wong about it and then proceeded to study and practice more advanced/deadlier forms of magic. Creature conjuring def falls under dark magic but what's Wong gonna do? Get mad at Strange for wanting more weapons in his arsenal to defend himself? That's most likely why he's not bothered by it. I loved the little nod Strange gives in the Illuminati trial, when Reed is introduced as the leader of the Fantastic Four; he says something along the lines of “weren’t you guys around during the 60s?” Does that mean that Earth 616 Fantastic Four was formed in the 1960s, just like their comic counterparts?!
As someone else pointed out, it’s a reference to The Beatles, “Fab Four”
