  • Written by Bobby Sykes who worked for Marty for over 20 years this fine western ballad first saw the light of day on Marty's 1966 album 'The Drifter.' Bobby also wrote 'Cottonwood Tree', 'The Ballad Of Bill Thaxton', 'Gone With The Wind' and 'I Hope You Learn A Lot' for Marty. A fine singer in his own right, Bobby Sykes recorded for Columbia Records during the 60's before changing his name to Bob Bishop and having a medium sized hit with 'Roses To Reno.'

Haven't heard this one before. More great harmonies. Sadly, this singing style you just don't get anymore but it lives on in these wonderful video clips. Keep up the good work.
