Cool video! I'm glad you got to ride the train, Brodie! What lines were crossing at the diamond in Ashley? You did a great job catching that CN freight on the next track over. Those are tough to film when they are so close. I also liked the view of the yard coming back into Centralia. Awesome!
So many memories, I used to take ride Amtrak all the time when I went to school in Carbondale.
That's awesome. Next time I take an Amtrak ride I will try to add more locations in the video.
It’s very unusual to see a Viewliner car on there. How interesting.
Yep!
My mom and I rode this line in the 1960's, not as fast as back then, but still a good ride
AWESOME RIDE!!
Thank you!

Thanks man! In Ashley we crossed over the EVWR (Evansville & Western RR).
Centralia used to have a HUGE station. You can see it in one of my videos on channel Robbi496 under "abandoned..."
18:51 Do you have many oil wells in the Centralia area? Are you related to Schwartz Oilfield Services?
I'm not sure how many there are, I am not related to them.
Why no pictures of the SIU campus?
We didn't end up having time to check it out before heading back. I apologize for not getting pictures.
