Would the simple answer be,signage on each pumps stating the only accepted payment method, ie no commemorative coins accepted , card transactions only. It’s like me filling up my truck with a fuel card that it’s states on the pump not accepted. That then is my problem. If they don’t put signage up with accepted payment methods that becomes their problem. I realise that once you have the petrol there is a debt to be paid , however when you have filled up with petrol without the means to pay because the sign says no commemorative coins or pay by currency in circulation up to £20 notes or card only then you would be in the wrong, am I correct ?
