@@julianchamberlain5399 Covering their own tracks, they'll claim error or incompetence by try to shroud liability, you'll have your call loggs and can easily source them from your provider I'm sure. Whilst it will only show a call was made to whom and what duration. I only know of technologies that actually keep record of what was said in relation to God which will be heard in those courts rather than the courts of man, so when they're pulled before the maker they will be confronted with their crimes regardless of how they fair down here.
One commenter mentioned the cashier dealt drugs to their friend, whilst that's only hearsay it might explain why the police were so chummy with him. Dealing drugs isn't against the law so police will often get theirs from dealers themselves.
Give your track record with them you should be on formidable form to get them to concede early in any event.
There is a list of things you're entitlted to as a victim of a crime too probably easy to source I only had a breif look at it in relation to the convid nonsense that's where my specialty was when I went up against the police/crown.
Getting your stolen property back should have been their first priority, then they should have checked the cctv to see he picked up a rock blocked you in etc, then asked him to make his way to the station (only because I believe most arrests can be resolved with a civil trip to the station where no on is in immediate harm/threats way since he stopped himself throwing the rock I think he's saved himself from a much bigger problem). But in their world if it was anyone else they'd have gone hands on and dragged him away for a night in the cells simply for existing. Sorry for the long comment, I don't half waffle. Will try stay in the loop, looking forward to updates.
So much to analyse even from the way they try close your car door on you very dismissive Id have to watch again but I over analyse everything from body language intonations you name it xD leave no stone unturned.

It’s unbelievable. The police completely ignored the allegations of criminal behaviour and got deeply involved in a civil dispute instead, even counting the money, while Julian remained deprived of his keys. That garage owner will be left thinking his actions were acceptable. The lack of consequences is the reason these people feel confident breaking the law.
There’s an article on Kent Online today with the headline “Gillingham mum 'held hostage' at Esso garage in Watling Street, Gillingham, has pledged to take legal action”. Basically an Esso worker locked a distressed customer in the shop for an hour because she had a problem making payment and he refused to let her go home to get another payment method unless she left her phone or car with him. Worth a read but most of the comments there are disappointing.

I remember as a kid the police in Scotland had to be at least 6 foot. Can't live free in a police state, there isn't really a start from scratch because God laid the foundations already. There would actually be approximately 80-90% less crime absent police, since they are known to commit most of the crimes. The smaller portion of society that do harm others would be fixed by removing government too because the system we live inisde is designed to put people in those mental states whereby they do those things. All in all we're headed that way, humanity is overall good in nature.

I'd argue that a miscount in the first instance is the problem so not a deliberate theft, and the second count of Bret just paying the alleged missing 1.50 was again not really a theft since he offered it to save hassle, which he shouldn't have had to do but given the circumstances and I have the feeling Bret is reasonably well secured in his finances that 1.50 wont bother him too much. But on a principle matter a recount would have definitely been necessary in that the police clearly couldn't count so they needed someone whom was able to count there to ensure it was all present and correct.
