Or the best 10 watches if you had 60 bucks and you could only buy them from Walmart but here is the kicker...your in a hurry because you got a turtle head poking out of yee..Ole bungholyo!....and you must hurry because you need teepee for said bungholyo!... as well so basically you gotta hurry cuz ya got a poop comming and your at Walmart with 60 bucks or pounds w.e yall call money...do that as your next video thingy...peace and love good sir's. Just remember I'm Old Greg...And I have a Mangina...Woooo!!!! Always Respect THE MIGHTY BOOSH!!!
Im a Paramedic and a Specialized SAR Tech in Canada so the Marathon GSAR (granted I got the 41 anthracite) was a great and patriotic choice. I have beat the watch to absolute points. Still ticking, still tritiuming(?). Also marathons customer service is spectacular. Highly recommend. Be warned, the watch is thicker than you'd expect. The dial, cone and hands are quite high to clear sweep over the tritium tubes. I also have the Longines Conquest, great finishing and details on it. I have an auto as it was on clearance but the quartz would be the same quality and details... And more accurate
The Seiko SARX055, to me, is an easy addition to this list. Titanium, ~GS level dial and polishing. Sapphire and AR coating. It blows me away every time I look at it. All for less than $900.
I think you're kinda stretching it when you compare it to GS, although I see your point about the dial, it is awesome. It does not have the same attention to detail though.
Great video and great list. These are all great picks and would fit 99% of most of us day to day. Christopher Ward has been doing some absolutely amazing things lately. Their design, details and finishing for the money are just beyond reproach.
Great list chaps! One of my favorite GADA watches for around $1000 is the Muhle Glashutte Panova Blau! 100M WR, screw down crown, Modified Sellita Movement, Simple dial layout, Strap monster. Been in my collection 2 years now, not leaving it anytime soon
I love my Oceanus T200. Paid 375$ shipped to my door in the US from Japan. Bought it hoping I could pick up an inexpensive but high quality watch to wear most days, one that if it gets scratched or banged up wont hurt my wallet quite so much and I am very pleased. Its not quite to the level of my Grand Seiko's but for the price it is very very good. Only problem is they're JDM only so you have to import them.
As a collection of 10 at a price point video by you guys, this is by far and away the “best” collection yet. Yes there have been nicer watches in the other vids but as a collection as a whole, this 10 collectively are absolutely superb. Love every one of them. Each one very very tempting. The CW and the Maen look cracking.
If I scrape my pennies together enough to go for something even close to a grand, it'd be the Hamilton Murphy. I have discovered big value for money in an Islander ISL-116 Southold and was happily surprised by an Aragon Divemaster II 42mm for under $150. They're not exactly luxury watches but they are outstanding, comfortable watches driven by Seiko movements.
Love these videos and your cheeky banter. You have some cool new suggestions here. I was able to find that Longines Conquest in auto (300m wr) for under $1,000, love it.
I actually recommended the Longines to a friend of mine who was looking for how a first „nice watch“ and who bought it. Christopher Ward typically excels head and shoulders above the competition!
Citizen NB1060-12L has a hand painted lacquer dial which is amazing! Incredible value for money and I believe the dial is better looking than any Seiko Presages currently out there.
I'm happy to see some Farer love! I love all of their designs, but own their world timer. I wanted the Omega WT but it was just too far out of my range. I think Farer fit so much into their version it made me so excited to own it. It's one of my go-to easy weekend wears!
Great video guys 👍🏼 finally you showed some love to Farer, they make gorgeous watches with proper movements, love the 36mm red dial. Christopher Ward is also another no brainer in this price range, Farer and CW are the best watchmakers in the below 3k price range in my opinion and they're both British. Citizen series8 is another good mention, good to see more Citizens, they deserve the exposure, well done. Maen is another brand that is very underrated. But Serica and Corniche don't have good customer service and they're not very honest brands regarding the parts they use and the originality of their brands, who in their right mind pays 1k for a NH35 watch from Corniche?! Or who pays over 1k for a Serica with faulty Soprod Newton movement? I don't know!
Nice to see the Citizen NA1015-81Z get mentioned here. It really is a very nice looking watch. The only problem is that it's a very unique looking watch and kinda stands out from all the other watches that I own. But fear not, as I think I have found a watch that will compliment this one. The Seiko SPB363J1, although this doesn't have the same angular chisel looks of the Citizen NA1015-81Z and Giga Chad, it does have a similar case and braclet colour, and with its purpley-blue dial and rose gold batons, it definitely does pop out, very much like the Citizen.
It's great to see there are so many affordable, quality watches available. I wasn't familiar with a lot of these brands. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.
Couldn't agree more on Christopher Ward. I own the C63 Sealander Automatic and the only minor regret I have is that I ordered mine before they introduced the smaller case-sizes (I have the 39mm, but 36mm might look better on my 17cm wrist). Other than that: Incredibly well built and attention to detail and finish are just superb for the price. Plus: I really love their adjustable clasp which, IMO, is well beyond what you can usually expect in this region of the market.
I agree 100% with Citizen, CW, and Marathon, all three make great watches at reasonable prices. I happen to own a Dune and a GSAR, so maybe I'm a bit biased though...
Value for money? Well I have a couple. For a well respected Swiss watch I think the Tissot PRX would be vary hard to beat in either quartz or mechanical versions. For something that would still tell the time in almost any situation I'd pick a solar G-Shock but given the many options from the brand I'll stick my neck out and suggest the GW-M5610 square. A bargain for the price and it doesn't need an app for those occasions when there isn't a mobile mast to be seen...... or in 30 year time when the app is no longer supported.
Longines is great watchmaker, with history, quality at an affordable price, one of my preferred. Seiko is another great one, for few hundreds (QC issues are there) to sub 2K watches, and if one can afford it then Grand Seiko. Omega would be my premier choice - quality, tech and design at reasonable price, compared to other top dogs.
Good values here! I would add Traska. Their designs are simple and no nonsense and they use some sore of super hard stainless steel on their bracelets that really are scratch resistent. I wear the green commuter as my weekend warrior regularly and it looks brand new still after abour one year. Zero scratches! I think mine was about $500 US.
Guys, you showed us 10 great watches, thanks a lot! I love the Citizen series 8, it looks like more expensive and premium level. Marathon is also an interesting piece.
The Farer is amazing - plus I enjoyed the presidential desk trivia fact. I'm eying up a few Canadian micro-brands at the moment but that Farer has got me reconsidering my priorities.
I was preparing a scathing rant about a glaring omission from your list, when up popped an image of my recently purchased Zelos Spearfish GMT Frost. I missed out on the Aventurine version (sold out in minutes), but am ecstatic with the Frost. This is my first Zelos. Now my challenge is to have enough self control to not jump on every Zelos release. However, I will eventually get an Aventurine Zelos.
Since you've included pieces accessible only in Europe, I would go the same route and and recommend Certina. Swatch group brand from Switzerland with a lot of history going back to the XX century. Pioneers in double security that g-shocks seem to be taking inspiration from. Background in motorsport - F1 and WRC. Great quality and Swiss made.
The enamel dial on the Ferer is really unique. The lume too around the numbers is so special. A very unique special dial and i worked in a dial company in Switzerland and to be honest the british are making some of the very best enamel dials like Al ordain. The VC watches are amazing but cost a fortune but next to Rolex Omega they are far superior in every way when you see the basic overseas model for around £20K.
Nice video with some good choices. I love the Farer and the dune from CW. I also like the alpinist. Stretchy bracelet lookalike? Not for me Would you consider a video on the best micro brands? So many to choose from.
I bought the Serica in 2020. Lovely looking watch. The Bonclip bracelet isn't stretchy but looks great and is really comfortable, albeit prone to uncliping itself. Currently broken through overwinding I think!? Defo getting it repaired though.
I bought a $425 dive watch from Islander Watches. The quality is incredible and the dial is fun in a way these "established" brands just don't do. Buy what you like, there are great watches from odd brands waiting for you to love them
Living with a watch with a busy life, quartz is king! But you’ve shown watches I’ve never heard of, and are as attractive is anything north of £1000, Corniche? Wow.
There's the Tissot Gentleman Silicium 80 that comes in a variety of colors and packs a very decent movement in an attractive package for way less than 1000 W.
I bought a Citizen Promaster Diver (NY0071-81E) over the Citizen Series 8 830 and ive regretted it ever since. The series 8 is a great watch and its not common, can't believe i made such a stupid decision. The Series 8 is awesome.
Question can or do the Swiss or Germans make an automatic movement that is about the cost and quality of the Seiko NH35 or Miyotas? Or because they are Swiss does or automatically Pump the price up? This would definitely keep the costs down.
Lovely choices! I have become an ardent fan over the years and have "infected" my friends with my newfound enthusiasm/obsession. Thanks so much. ps. This might possibly be my favorite to date. Yours, Brett Kelley
Let's go crazy for the next video, 10 watches if you had all the money in the world (but no taste).
Considering there's a gazillion watches that are a) ridiculous and b) overpriced, I think it'd be hard to pick just 10.
They’ve already covered Richard Mille…
@@moneymikz lol
A video about Richard Mile and every watch covered in diamonds.
*It has a GREAT dial but it ain’t a Grand Seiko by any stretch.*
They’ll win the value proposition every time due to their pricing policy… it’s simply they charge 3x what the watch costs to make regardless of hype
Great choice, Chris! 👍🙂
I thought Muhle was a lot more pricey than that
@@elgatto3133 the Panova Series starts at $999. It's their least expensive model
I just got the Tissot Gentleman 80 hour in the lovely emerald green dial for only $530 new and I’m very pleased
Gorgeous. Enjoy it.
I love my Oceanus T200. Paid 375$ shipped to my door in the US from Japan. I'm surprised that you didn't mention Baltic.

Shh keep this one a secret, it’s so nice
Been running a quartz Marathon MSAR for over 6 years, highly recommended.
The Christopher Ward, Longines, Maen, and Corniche catches my eyes. 👀
I'm happy to see some Farer love! I love all of their designs, but own their world timer. I wanted the Omega WT but it was just too far out of my range. I think Farer fit so much into their version it made me so excited to own it. It's one of my go-to easy weekend wears!
Do not forget Certina for instance de ds action chronometer quartz rating, unbeatable far superior from those mentioned.
Corniche was a new one for me! Thanks for showing
Great video guys 👍🏼 finally you showed some love to Farer, they make gorgeous watches with proper movements, love the 36mm red dial. The enamel face looks killer.
"Bargain under $1k"...and my wife looks at me like I've lost my mind when I tell her my 1984 Seiko was $125. I have some work to do...
Nice list! I've been looking to add a microbrand watch to my collection and I am definitely eyeing Zodiac GMT and Christopher Ward.
I've been eyeing Farer watches for awhile. May take interest in a purchase this year.
Tissot PRX or Gentleman deserve a spot

Just received my Christopher Ward C65 Dune and the quality of this piece is outstanding. For the price, it punches way above it’s weight.
It's great to see there are so many affordable, quality watches available. I wasn't familiar with a lot of these brands. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.
Couldn't agree more on Christopher Ward. Great to see CW getting more love - amazing brand and if in store - would be double the price.
Perhaps one of your finest videos. You hit the nail on the head with these watches and I own sports watches from Rolex, Omega etc.
The CW looks like a Tudor. There’s a Serica similar to the one here, but with a California dial…really nice!
My California dial brings all the bois to the yard.
Value for money? Well I have a couple. For a well respected Swiss watch I think the Tissot PRX would be vary hard to beat in either quartz or mechanical versions. You gotta mention the seiko SARX103 or any of the SARX!
The Farer is amazing - plus I enjoyed the presidential desk trivia fact. I'm eying up a few Canadian micro-brands at the moment but that Farer has got me reconsidering my priorities.

Isnt the corniche basically a round patel nautilus without the bezel?

Thanks i dont know how to send a telegram.
Cool list! Please make more!
Tissot seastar for diver under 1000 bucks and the tissot PRX for dressy blingy watch, or the casio waveceptor titanium for everyday rugged field watch
You lads have finally found a Citizen watch that I like! Great job once again
Nice video with some good choices. I love the Farer and the dune from CW. I also like the alpinist. Stretchy bracelet lookalike? Not for me
Would you consider a video on the best micro brands? So many to choose from.
Great selection of watches. 👍🏽
If budget ia a concerne, Tissot got your back. PRX auto would be number one on my list!
NIce to see the Marathon on the list
I bought the Serica in 2020. Lovely looking watch. The Bonclip bracelet isn't stretchy but looks great and is really comfortable, albeit prone to uncliping itself. Currently broken through overwinding I think!? Defo getting it repaired though.
I normally don't care for numerals of any sort on my watches but the Farer is sharp.
Great choices guys. You've wet my appetite again! God help me.
I bought a $425 dive watch from Islander Watches. The quality is incredible and the dial is fun in a way these "established" brands just don't do. Buy what you like, there are great watches from odd brands waiting for you to love them
Good to see my Citizen series 8 getting some appreciation.
finally a list without watches everyone knows, as most yt channels do… Great work
Oval desk knowledge bomb was smashing - thanks.
Zelos are almost always sold out and EXTREMELY difficult to get. Good watch but good luck getting one.
Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80.
The Zelos dial looks like some kind of soft cheese.
thanks for the video. Baltic has amazing looking watches for under US$1000. For me, they are killing it in the micro brand category.
This was a rare watch review where I didn't find a single watch that I didn't like a lot! Kudos on your choices guys.
That Citizen is a super nice choice too!
Living with a watch with a busy life, quartz is king! But you’ve shown watches I’ve never heard of, and are as attractive is anything north of £1000, Corniche? Wow.
I have Seiko Prospects Alpinist. Like it a lot, but the compass feature is not very visible (even with my reading glasses).
There's the Tissot Gentleman Silicium 80 that comes in a variety of colors and packs a very decent movement in an attractive package for way less than 1000 W.
Curious to know what you guys think about Casio Oceanus line. Finishing on those things is really insane for the money.
Serica….uh…SoProd…..oh it’s supposed to run jittery…..Friends of IPOSE….$350.00….better deal imho. Great show Boys! Thanks
I would love to see a "most accurate" watch list from Watchfinder.
Good list.
I missed some Hamiltons… khaki and murph, but little obvious.
Longines quartz has gone over 22 years and is a great time keeper zand finish., only 3 new batteries also. The longines here is beautiful.
Some great choices. Love the CW, and can vouch for Farer…they really do make an attractive looking and fun watch, with some real bang for your buck!
great list, but surprised there were no Hamiltons.
MAEN Manhattan 37 in blue with date complication is a great timepiece 😍
Recording dork here. I'm just impressed one of the microphone images you use is of a 40-50's RCA ribbon. Very hip choice,.
Smart selection. Of course it's worth adding that the Marathon offers tritium lume, so it always remains illuminated
Is the Serica actually available as a left-hander as well? Very interesting if so.
For sub-£1,000 Hamilton would be my first choice - it's about the only thing I agree with Nico Leonard about!
What would be your post-apocalypse-watch and what would be your backup on the other arm?
I would like to save up a little more and by myself a Sinn.
Christopher Ward, Corniche, and Maen for me! 😃
I bought a Citizen Promaster Diver (NY0071-81E) over the Citizen Series 8 830 and ive regretted it ever since. The series 8 is a great watch and its not common, can't believe i made such a stupid decision. The Series 8 is awesome.
Loving the Farer Resolute, Maen Manhattan and that Marathon best from this list.
Love that Maen! ❤
Love the content keep it up!
Tom's sly prospex joke made me laugh so hard I spit out my coffee. 🤣🤣🤣
Serica really nice and underrated. Was looking at this a while ago
Liked the Ferer very much, but I can't believe that they didn't center the middle R with the triangle above. I honestly can't buy it that way
Question can or do the Swiss or Germans make an automatic movement that is about the cost and quality of the Seiko NH35 or Miyotas? Or because they are Swiss does or automatically Pump the price up?
This would definitely keep the costs down.
Great list! Does anyone have opinions on the Maen Manhattan vs the Tissot PRX? I kinda want one of them but can’t decide.
Nice collection but the Farer is my pick...cheers
I mean, I would have bought that zelos. But it sold out in the time it took to get through checkout so.....
I wish that rockface Alpinist was available outside of Europe.
The Longines is the winner
Tissot PRX 80 automatic and Seiko SPB143 for Tom cos its more than $1K
Video idea: a selection of ceramic body watches
12:05 hands and lume color reminds me of glycine airman
Longines do the VHP, why not mention that one? 5 sec/year
Hey, you forgot to put "DESTROY Rolex" in the title! 😂
Lovely choices! I have become an ardent fan over the years and have "infected" my friends with my newfound enthusiasm/obsession. Thanks so much. ps. This might possibly be my favorite to date.
Yours,
Brett Kelley
really surprised Zelos were mentioned here. Thought you're not even aware of the brand
