- For this video I collaborated once again with @sidewalks22 to document throughout the downtown shopping area of this beach community. We received a mix of reaction from various people while we made our way up and down the sidewalk. The first gal we encountered from a clothing shop came out with some curiosity. She was polite And went back to her day without any further incident. As we moved along the sidewalk we came across a a couple restaurants where the individuals who interacted with us weren't as friendly .

PLEASE . . . . When someone asks, “What are you filming/recording for?”, answer with simply, “For awhile.” This simple statement tends to either make someone mad and they go away, or more likely confuse them for 3-5 seconds. 😂🙃

You should carry a tube of Preperation H. When dummies tell you they are uncomfortable, you offer them Preperation H. Nobody will ever take it but the look on their face will be worth it. You just have to offer it so they CLEARY can read the lable and see what it is.
Time to end the policy of using public spaces for private profits. You should ask businesses why they think they can benefit by taking over sidewalks and parking spaces to expand their seating. If a restaurant chooses to place seats in public, is it allowable to use the seats without ordering?
more than likely the city is happy to take a license fee to allow them to take a certain amount of space thus giving them the idea the own the sidewalk
@@awhisperinthewind4253 The auditors should research which restaurants have permits, and the laws commented with those permits. Here in NYC, there are laws that the vast majority of restaurants with outdoor seating are not adhering to.

● Anything that can seen in or from public, can be recorded, video'd, or drawn/sketched/painted on to a canvas.
● People's feelings and/or "discomfort" does not trump our rights.
I find it unbelievable that people think they can walk up to people on the sidewalk who aren't breaking the law or hurting anyone and first, ask them what they're doing, and second, ask them to stop doing it. This once great Republic is dead.
I find it unbelievable that an "auditor" can not stop filming a person who does not like being filmed just to be a kind decent human, it HAS to be a LAW. So the goal is for the government to RESTRICT our freedom by making laws that FORCE people not to film because we can not trust people to be basic decent humans on their own?

In the UK if a private business takes video or an employee does a camback we can request a copy. Just like you can from a public entity or public employee.
In that case, where is the dividing line between Private & Public ?.... Seems like a sole Private entity gets treated as a general Public one.
I disagree with that policy. Photography is an 'art' and my own personal property.

So here's the thing...because the name of the first lady's store was clearly in the picture, I looked it up. The owner, Kristina, has a really cool story. I know she was "polite" but I could tell she was irritated behind that smile. But what people DON'T understand that come out and want to bully have to know that people will look up their stores and decide TO or NOT TO shop or patronize their places based on what happens in these videos.

I have good news and bad news for all you people out there who feel uncomfortable when a camera is pointed at you. The bad news is that the world around you is ever changing and something you have very little to zero control over. Especially other people and what they do. The good news is that you have full agency and control over your own comfort, thoughts, emotions and reactions. The really great news is that when confronted with something that normally may bring on discomfort, this is a great opportunity to look inside and make a different choice over what you may have chosen in the past. This will only come with enlightenment and wisdom. Most people have almost zero self awareness and understand their own ability to make choices in this regard. The feeling of power this affords is quite amazing and should be understood as a skill that must be exercised to be at its best. It doesn’t just happen automatically for most people. Most people have zero awareness of this power in themselves… they walk around in a reactive impulsive/compulsive state that simply opens them up to being easily manipulated. Many marketing organizations and strategies take full advantage of these psychological triggers to sell products. Good Luck!

Follow up question - am I the only one who found it gross that that one restaurant guy thought repeatedly saying 'very stupid' in Spanish as some sort of race play of sympathy with your compatriot is bizarre at best and disgusting at worst!!!
I love your videos! But would you be OK if I were to suggest something about video production that would help the look a bit, especially in your effort to have a "more cinematic look," much in the same way as you suggest to other people when they're videoing in portrait mode if they'd switch to landscape? Have you noticed that movies and TV shows don't do a lot of zooming, especially repeating in and out on the same subject or/and scene over and over? Will you please try upping your cinematic-look game by not zooming in and out repeatedly on the same subject or scene (as that can get old quickly) -- rather, just have an wide (establishing shot, then zoom in after a while and leave it there for a minute or two, and then make a cut then go back to after the cut, and then don't go back in until it's been another minute or two, or even until moving to the next person or scene?
I'm just asking for that because many repeated zooms in and out on the same thing/person can be quickly tiring to see. Would that be OK? Thanks in advance, if you'd be willing to "give that a whirl."
