Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. The stock market/crypto market has plenty of opportunities to earn a decent payout even in a downtrend, with the right skills and proper understanding of how the market works.

Closing Stock is on the right side of trading account, because of matching concept. Let's say we make 100 units for 10000 rupees, written on the left side of trading account, and assume we sell 80units for 16000 rupees, written as sales on the right side of trading account. If we do the balancing, it gives us a profit of 6000 rupees apparently. But this would be wrong, because we are comparing cost of 100 units to revenue of 80 units to ascertain the profit.
To come to the correct profit, we need to compare cost of 80 units to revenue from 80 units.
Now since cost of 100 units is written on the left side, we write the closing stock that is cost of 20 units on the right side, which effectively nets off, and gives us the cost of 80units , which we compre with revenue from 80 units, which will give us the correct profit.

Hi, great thought, IMO Capex creates assets which can increase income whereas Revenue Expenditure maintains the income level. Also Capex is reflected in the form of Assets in the Balance Sheet and as depreciation in the income statement while REVex is only reflected in the Income statement. The time durations are also different, Capex is multi-year while Revex is confined to an FY. I am a Scientist/Engineer who tries to understand and implement Value investing. I hope the answers are what you looked out for! Nevertheless a great Video, I'll look forward to the next. Regards- Mahadevan Iyer

Recently I started following stock market especially because of you ma'am, in the process of learning in depth of each and every terminology. Trying investing in few stocks in less quantities and amounts in order to get experience and knowledge. There are 5000+ company's in stock market. To learn to analyse and then take decision of your own how one should proceed. I am more interested in knowing a good approach of an investor. Say I list down industries for which I have knowledge or my interest still there are multiple small cap, mid cap, and large cap company. Starting now what company I should choose to analyse 1st and then 2nd so on and go further. Because so many digits in red-green, so many known unknown companies make us confused and anxious and overwhelmed.

Closing stock appears on trading credit side because of a matching concept. We have to match income & expenses for the relavent period.& hence we show closing stock on credit side so as to arrive at cost of goods sold.
