How does the drone stay on track in such strong winds?

Spectacular! The foxes of nature those structures have to endure, amaze me. How exciting this must be to do this. Look out National Geographic!

I was there during a similar storm in the summer of 83'. The catwalk was still intact, and my dad & I and about 20 other people got to enjoy the experience on that front facing. Great day. Nanny-state government isn't allowing the people to use that catwalk anymore because it's not SAAAAAAFE enough.

Have you ever lost a drone from a waves spray hitting it? You do a awesome job of getting close to the action.

I live here in Grand Haven, weve had some big wind storms over the last month. Is this from November '22? I love parking out there and watching during our wind storms. So cool. great video.

Why the brownish water near shore and greenish blue water further away? I am guessing it has to do with depth, but that's like a sudden drastic drop given the clear demarcation in color of the water.

The brown water is river water. The color change is due to tannins in the river.

We used to tie empty milk jugs to our bikes and jump them off this pier. Back then the beach was much smaller and the wood was still on the catwalk.

To the guy that made the comment about the nanny government, what about the 10 or 15 people that have drowned from Port Auston to Marquette going on break walls when they shouldn’t.

    • @jalbert9613

That is why the catwalk was there! It gets you up off the break wall so you did not get washed off. They removed the catwalk. The catwalk was originally put up so you could get to the lighthouse during a storm and not get washed off. The nanny government was afraid of someone falling off it and file a lawsuit because they where stupid and got themselves hurt!
