These Easter eggs show how developers used to have the freedom to do fun stuff like this. Nowadays, in this era of soul-less, corporate game design, there's slim to no chance of finding such things, unless, of course, they're sitting behind a pay wall. Great video GCG! Happy Easter.
100% agreed. Nowadays, games lack the same soul and essence of what made gaming in the past truly stand out. There was more creativity, originality, and pure “fun” incorporated into their games (whether within the gameplay mechanics or secrets hidden within). Glad you enjoyed the video man, and Happy Easter to you as well!
Bro, Super Mario Sunshine had an Easter Egg dedicated to a Horror Film (The Shining). I don’t know that. That’s so cool Bro. It’s also really cool to see Monkey D Luffy in a Dragon Ball game and see the worlds collide. Either way Great Episode as always GameCube Galaxy. Also Happy Easter
Haha wild seeing that Easter Egg in Super Mario Sunshine, huh? Yeah, the One Piece/DBZ Easter Egg is awesome too 👍. Glad you enjoyed the video man, and Happy Easter!
The holiday themes for Road Rage blew my mind. Was always wondering what that space was for. But it's funny I never noticed, considering I do remember doing that for Hit and Run allll the time. And seeing Luffy in DBZ is crazy! Great Video!
Glad I could highlight the holiday themes from Road Rage for you! Yeah, seeing Luffy in DBZ is wild! Thanks for checking out the video, and glad you enjoyed it!
Glad to hear they continued that with other Madden games! I checked Madden 2005, and they didn't do that surprisingly. Thanks for checking out the video man!
I like how the dolphin motif kept going even way after sunshine, in the delfino plaza stage in super smash bros brawl, the platform that tours you around delfino plaza has a dolphin in the middle
That it does! I’m also glad to kept that motif going. The term “Dolphin” is quite integral to the GameCube, so it’s cool seeing Nintendo play towards that. Thanks for checking out the video!
I just beat BloodRayne a few months ago so it was cool to see some Easter Eggs for it. I would never attack the cross so I was not aware of that Easter Egg. That's righteous though that God gets mad if you attack it. That was cool about the Ark being hidden too. That was a great game overall, just like this video!
Yeah, I knew you'd get a kick out of the Bloodrayne Easter Eggs...and yeah, attacking the cross definitely felt dirty to do lol. I want to go back and beat the game, and review it...maybe during Halloween season. Thanks for checking out the video man, and glad you enjoyed it!
Did Tomb Raider come out at the end of the Gamecube's life? I played legend on 360 but don't remember it on Gamecube, I still have my GC and love the Tomb Raider games.
It did! It released months later after the PS2/Xbox/360 versions. I actually did a full in-depth review for it if interested to see more on how the GameCube version stacks up (or to scratch the nostalgia about the game lol). ruclips.net/video/pTCzY8lwjZE/видео.htmlsi=Ps50kGGjGnXi28sE Thanks for checking out the video!
Eggcellent video! I hope you had a great Easter. These are so cool and I especially love the stuff with the clock like the Madden holiday commentary and the Simpsons menu.
Haha nice play on words there 👍. Glad you enjoyed seeing these Easter Eggs! The internal clock ones are always intriguing to see, but it is a shame that games nowadays stopped utilizing this feature. Those holiday-themed characters in Simpsons Road Rage would’ve easily just been DLC sadly if released today lol. It was a nice Easter! Hope you had a great Easter as well! Thanks again for checking out the video!
I thought about it after I finished putting together the whole video actually 🤣. Guess that’ll be in next year’s Easter Egg video (or a dedicated review for that game lol)! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Always cool to see what devs would put in their games to see if players would find out! Some of them are nice touches like the internal clock ones but some of them are seriously so well hidden that I've always wondered how they were discovered! Like the hidden song in Splinter Cell... how did they find out? Anyway this was fun and I hope we'll see more of those next year! Great video and keep up the good work!
For sure! The internal clock ones are always fun to see, and several of the hidden ones are mindblowing! Glad you enjoyed the video, Dan! Appreciate you checking it out!
Glad you liked the ones showcased! The Simpsons Road Rage is a fun time for sure, and one I need to do an in-depth review for still! Thanks for checking out the video man!
The internal clock ones are cool - in fact, apart from something like Animal Crossing, it almost feels like games don't do that sort of thing these days. Happy Easter [or Fools from Australia]. :)
For sure! Yeah, many games sadly don’t utilize the internal clock aspect, and is a shame. It really can provide innovative ways to approach game design if utilized properly. Happy Easter, Viddy! Thanks for checking out the video!
Great video! Funny you brought up Rouge Squadron because I have a Star Wars gaming itch and playing a lot of Star Wars games on my Switch and recently bought Lego Skywalker Saga as well as replaying KOTOR, Racer, Republic Commando and Force Unleashed. They should put the Rogue Squadron trilogy on Switch (Along with modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles). Those as well as Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter, Racer Revenge, Super Star Wars Trilogy, Shadow of the Empire, Rebel Assault I and II, The Clone Wars (2002 game), Battle for Naboo (Put it in a potential Rogue Squadron trilogy pack because same devs), Episode III the game, Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force, Bounty Hunter, Wii Force Unleashed II, Battlefront Elite and Renegade Squadron, Lethal Alliance, Star Wars Atari arcade game, Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, X-Wing/TIE Fighter, Lego Complete Saga, Empire at War, III: The Clone Wars and Force Awakens to Switch! Some Atari and NES games as well. I even came up with ideas for potential bundles similar to the Star Wars Heritage Bundle they got on the eShop. Star Wars Expert Pilot Collection (For lack of better name. Any suggestions?): Rogue Squadron trilogy, Battle for Naboo, X-Wing/TIE Fighter, Rebel Assault I and II, Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter Star Wars Dark Forces/Jedi Knight Saga: Dark Forces, Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy and Lego Star Wars Classics: Complete Saga, III: the Clone Wars and Force Awakens. (I know Skywalker Saga exist for 1 - 7, but would be cool to get the earlier Lego Star Wars games)
That’s awesome to hear you’re in a Star Wars game kick lately on Switch! Love the idea of those other compilations and its titles too! Maybe one day it could happen? 🙏🏻 Thanks for checking out the video man!!
Yeah! I hope they happened. I just prefer playing the old, but gold games! Although I still buy the latest games of series like Sonic, Mario and others. So many games being rereleased and the countless remakes, remasters and compilations are one of the reasons why Switch is my favorite. Others being the portability (Getting comfy and game while enjoying a good anime, cartoon or movie) and the fact Nintendo sticked with their guns and still making innovative exclusives. Seriously! Getting bored of these open world, battle royale, more cutscenes than play, PVP and multiplayer online-only games are getting stale! I just use my PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for their exclusives at this point (That I am actually interested on) or games I know will never be on Switch.@@GameCubeGalaxy
Wow this was an awesome video. How in the heck do half of these get found? I wonder if the devs leak it out or they all truly get found naturally. Cheers!
I mean if I was checking out Laras belt buckle I think she'd think I'm a pervert at first. But I'm sure she'd joke around with someone like that in the Legend version of the character.
Haha maybe, but yeah, the Legend version of Lara would joke around. The current, wimpified version…not so much lol. Thanks for checking out the review!

Nintendo GameCube, baby!
👍👍👍
Definitely a banger episode and so awesome to see how much devs used to add these to their titles back in the day.
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it, and seeing some of what the developers hid in these games!

I always loved how Madden would wish you happy holidays. In so e of the other versions they would say merry Christmas and happy Thanksgiving
Glad to hear they continued that with other Madden games! I checked Madden 2005, and they didn't do that surprisingly. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Happy Easter 🐇 Everyone. 😃👍.

@@GameCubeGalaxy Interesting. I probably would have played it if I hadn't moved onto Xbox 360, haha. I'll check out that video :)
Fantastic video man I don't think I knew about ANY of these Easter Eggs!
Glad you really enjoyed the video, and learned about all of these Easter Eggs man!
Great Episode! I love Easter eggs but there’s something about 6th gen Easter eggs that just stuck out to me more than newer games.
Thanks man! Glad you really enjoyed it, and I agree, there's something about the 6th gen Easter eggs that truly stand out.

Another really fun video! Easter Eggs are always a blast of a topic. Keep up the great work!

What is your favorite Gamecube game? number 1?
That’s a great question! I’d probably say Resident Evil 4 👍.
Love your uploads mate, hope you’re doing well pal👍🏻

Que es easter eggs?
Easter Eggs are secrets developers put in their games that are nods to other referenced material. Hope that helps!
