This was a terrific compilation of everyone's memories and shows how we all share a common thread in our gaming history; we all hold special memories attached to our console or game that we received as young kids. I really wanted the Gamecube in 2005, and I begged my parents all year for one. Then on Christmas week, my Dad decided to take me to Fry's Electronics. That day he got me the Gamecube Pokemon XD bundle, along with Double Dash and Melee. It's a Christmas memory I will forever cherish.

for some reason, I really can't remember many christmases during childhood, but my default memory for christmas gifts would be when my older brother got me Wario Land Shake It and Pikmin New Play Control on Wii in 2009, Wario Land especially stuck w/ me b/c his characterization in that game made him become one of my favorite Nintendo characters ever

Luigi's Mansion is a game I also got for Christmas alongside the GameCube itself. It's a game that inspired Luigi's character and his poltergeist related adventures ever since.
The Cube was my first home console; I still remember that Christmas Day in 2002 when I got my platinum box with Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I was eating off that game for months and 22 years later, still have and still play both 💙
Mine would be Christmas 1998. We used to go to my grandma's house Christmas morning for breakfast and after open gifts. When we were done opening presents and my cousins ran off with their toys to play with my grandma called me over to her room where she pulled out 2 more presents for me, a dandelion yellow gameboy color and pokemon yellow. That moment sparked the gamer in me and I still have both to this day and this year was passed down to my son for him to enjoy.

I remember when I got 3DS for Christmas 2012! It was hard for me to put that thing down once I got it as a gift! I especially had fun playing Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance on that thing! I also got Nintendogs + Cats: French Bulldog and Friends, along with Steel Diver that same Christmas! That is my favorite Christmas memory revolving around a game that was new at the time! 😄

WrestleMania was so popular that year when it came out the only time my Dad could go get it was with me. The most influential game I ever received for Christmas would be Pokemon Silver. That was my first Pokemon game which led me to collect all of the games in that series for years to come.
