2:22 If someone doesn't have several pans, I recommend putting parchment paper on a cutting board, and then the meat balls on that parchment paper. When the first batch is done cooking, you can slide the parchment paper from the cutting board onto the baking tray.
Friendly grandma tip: for every pound of beef, grind a small to medium onion in the food processor and mix into the raw beef. Makes the tastiest, juiciest meatballs ever! Do the same with ground turkey or chicken. I do this for burgers and meatloaf, too! Mmmm
A ton of garlic too!
These are so going in my snack city. Love the recent bulk prep videos you’ve been doing. That’s what I’m all about
I've made your apple baked oatmeal in the past and just recently made your protein waffles. I had bariatric surgery about 2 months ago so one waffle fills me up. It's been sooo nice having something packed with protein that's easy to reach for when I'm feeling lazy. I'm definitely going to have to make these meatballs because your recipes haven't steered me wrong yet!
Nice vid Josh, and thanks for putting them out on Sunday. I always see them when I get home from church and it gives me some motivation to go the grocery store and prep for the week, lol.
I really love that you opt for gluten free!
I have coeliac disease and it is not easy to find people like you! I love it!!
After all, it is so easy to switch flour or crumbled bread
always love a new meal prep manual video on my feed!
was not expecting to see League and Josh in the same video but here we are am I am all for it.
Dude your channel is awesome. Keep it up
Doing this! Thanks for sharing!
Finally trying this recipe out!!
I use lean Turkey just to switch things up here and there. Great, quick and easy recipes. Fine work here! Thanks for sharing.
splendid stuff… I hear you on the rice, we keep frozen rice on deck, for just those nights when the kids are restless and speed is necessary. Also my wife uses the scoop as well for most meat ball recipes.
also, that Black Friday deal, may have me giving that gadget a try.
Be well, excellent video
Love your channel ❤
Thanks for watching 😎
Brilliant video
Your content is so good. Really..
I love Snack City. The best idea ever.
The good thing about making meatballs
hope you're having a great day, josh!
Thank you for putting recipes out there without a paywall. What a cup of coffee for you guys might cost an arm and a leg other side of the world. Anyway, thanks 🙏
Hey Joshy Meatballs, do you have any recommendations for reheating if you only have a toaster oven? Or should I get a grip and just buy a microwave?
So this is how Jim did it to prank Dwight
Imma need some peppers and onions in there.
Love the idea of making a hundred meatballs. Your recipes are good too (although glutton free bread is worse than going without bread for me)! Thanks for your great content.
Dude I was thinking *today* that I should do something like this.
But I thought about using a kofte recipe which requires a lot more work, also I wasn't sure what's the best way to batch and freeze it (was thinking of doing smash burgers so they can stack in the freezer).
I'll try your version it seems more manageable.
Also I dunno if you have access to these sorts of things, but there's a type of kofte that uses roasted chickpea flour should make for even better macros than the oat flour.
p.s. the recipe on the website says this recipe is for a serving of "1 meatballs"
I didn't know frozen rice even existed. I love that there are people even lazier than me. ;)
Get these meatballs from Zwilling offer in Canada
I must say, I enjoy these recipes despite not having a super specific diet.
There's a lot of talk about meat leanness in the comments (something I don't think about), but for fin I looked up the ground beef I use which if I've understood it correctly is about a 77/23... but oh well, it is dirt cheap for a reason in comparison to leaner meat which is twice the price 😂
Can i freeze the meatballs raw? How long they can last raw frozen?
You been meatballed! - Stanley
Hey Josh, just getting into your recipes. The burrito bowls are unreal. Can you let me know the diameter of the scoop you use please?
uhhh its probably about 1.5". its a 1oz scoop
@@TheMealPrepManual My man. Cheers!
Finally-a recipe with balls.
Shoutout balls
This is a good approach, but I like to use just a dash more of garlic salt. Just adds a kick. Just my thoughts.
Peace and vibes XD
shut up stupid head fucking garlic salt lover
How long do these last for in the freezer in the vacuum sealed bags?
months. I've had chicken fries in my freezer that I haven't quite gotten through yet from January
adding greek yogurt to the meatballs makes them more juicy
While it is true oats are gluten free they do react the same as does gluten for somebody with Celiac .
Awesome, thank you for sharing!
I usually work with ground chicken breasts (never made meat balls though - but from now on I will!). Need ways more spices, totally not the beef experience, but kcal-wise the difference is crazy, due to lack of fat (same reason for the lack of taste I guess so some sauce is an absolute must 🙃).
I'd also recommend making your own sauce. I usually go for low fat sour cream & spices or e.g. paprika cream or some other condensed stuff (or lighten up canned stuff so less kcal-dense + larger amount, but still tasty).
I'm wondering if it was a good business idea setting up a meal prep kitchen? Making giant amounts of stuff like this, freeze & deliver to the half-assed, super-lazy meal preppers on bulk price.
if you like ground chicken breasts you should look for persian "gondi" or "gundi" or "gondi soup" recipe, it's awesome.
@@pubcollize Thanks for the tip!
Frozen cauliflower rice instead of frozen rice is nice
How do you find sauces that are gluten free?
Living in a big city definitely helps. Most grocery stores around me have a good selection but Whole Foods is the best
Or you can meatball Dwight, right?
Does anyone know if Josh uses a fan oven? I just wanted to know if I need to lower the temp of any of his recipes as I have a fan oven
I use a conventional oven
@@TheMealPrepManual Thank you!
Aren't the frozen veggies uncooked though? Reheating the meatballs and rice won't cook the vegetables...?
They cook in the microwave
This is great but my doctor told me to avoid beef and red meat becoz of pcod. Even tho I barley eat it like once twice a week.
Ground turkey or chicken won't taste quite the same but they'll be just as versatile and you can use the same recipe.
He looks like he graduated from one of canadas top business schools with really good grades
I most certainly did thanks for noticing
Wish I could find ground beef this lean, best I can find is 85/15.
they have 93/7 everywhere no way u can’t find it
@@trollificent3209not up here where I live, Walmart highest is 90/10 aldis is like 92ish
@@killer147896325 then you do have it. 1% wont make a difference
What does the ratio tell me? I guess the smaller number is the amount of fat in percent. But greater number is what?
@@ReinhardPlean protein
0:54 Were those eggs brutally beaten by your boss?
love the meals, but how is 2 tsb different amounts for the salt and pepper?
The same way a bucket full of rocks is different than a bucket full of feathers
🤣@@TheMealPrepManual
Which is heavier, a kilogram of meatballs, or a kilogram of feathers?@@TheMealPrepManual
Brother, get a rice cooker. It’s a no brainer purchase
We're they steaming going into the freezer?
Best food handling practice is to cool food first before moving to fridge or freezer. Refrigerating hot lowers the temp of your fridge risking contamination
No you have to wait for them to cool first
More bulking vids!
I would never garnish my own food.
I only do it for the camera
How many literal seconds are we talking here?
I could do it in under 100 easy and if I was going for a world record, maybe 47
@@TheMealPrepManual that’s your next video then. I believe in you. 👍🏼
beefballs
2 sack of balls
2,5kg of balls
I don’t have an oven
You could probably just cook these in a pan in batches as long as you make sure they're cooked through
Just a light hearted comment but these beef meatballs would prolly be illegal in india 😅
Haha I thought about that as I was making the tikka masala meatballs
Tikka Masala "sauce" needs to cook. You can't have it straight out the jar
He's going to put it in the microwave.
who can afford all that whole foods in this economy?
I'm sorry but i just have to warn people - the zwilling fresh and save system is incredibly flawed and I wish i never took this recommendation from the channel. The bags simply do not last. They are NOT reusable for long since they can't lock the air in after just a few uses. They are very expensive to only last one or two uses. They constantly fail and my food gets ruined in the freezer as air starts to go in and cause freezer burn. At this point i'm just not sure if I should keep wasting money buying bags, or just throw the whole thing out. The pump works fine.
Have you contacted Zwilling about your issues? I've found most manufacturers will work with you on faulty products.
Yeah I would contact them and ask for help. They are willing to help in my experience. The bags certainly don’t last forever but I’ve been able to get many uses out of them and only had to toss a couple
Sounds like you're overpacking them. At least 15 uses deep without issue (on multiple bags). Never had one fail, used for almost a year.
They definitely could use some tweaking, but they're not unusable.
I wish they closed easier.
I wish I didn't have to press the button on the middle of the air sucker to get it to be "air tight" (which I feel like you're missing)
Otherwise, I've had mine for a year and have only had 1 fail, a smaller one the zipper broke.
