For this bulgarian bag certification test and to be an official Suples Bulgarian Bag Instructor you need to do the following.
Men will use a 12kg Bulgarian Bag, women will use a lighter bag.
Barry Andre from the Rotterdam Kettlebell Academy shows you the test. Barry is a Suples Bulgarian Bag Trainer Level 1 and also a worldchampion kettlebell sport in snatch 24kg and uses the dynamic exercises of the bulgarian bag in his trainingsessions.

*Note: in this video Barry is ready just over 4 minutes in periode 2, so he uses his early finish as an extra resting time.
If you never tried this, you have NO CLUE how much forearm and grip strength this takes!
Yes, you are right... do not forgot your cardio :-)
@@BarryAndre My cardio has not been challenged yet because my failed grip forces me to rest!
and of course "endurance"
Barry, thank you for taking the time to share this! My Bulgarian Bag gets here today, and this is what I’ll use to work towards. Hoping to build up my ability and comprehension to be able to incorporate some BJJ specific movements. Forward Always, Steven
Great... it will bring you forward, that is for sure.
You get a great exercise and have fun both at the same time, for me it a win win. Thanks for the video.
Good work. I want to buy one, have been using a sandbag but the suples bags are beautiful! Suples spins are HARD...honestly I havent done anything as difficult besides actual wrestling. Even sprinting is less painful. Ivan is a genius, look at the suples ball youtube videos as well, its VERY cool.
Imo they're a great investment. Extremely well made too.
I just bought a 12 kg bag to try and work toward this standard.
Have fun!
followed along with the video, fell a bit behind on round 2 but managed to keep up at round 3 (although my technique were probably horrible by that time) with a 10kg bag and my forearms/grip is destroyed :P
gonna work alot on my form/technique this spring
You can put a bit chalk on your hands to get more grip... quick win... but if you are not used to chalk it can “burn” a bit in your hands because of the friction. I am used to chalk because of all the kettlebell lifting.
@@BarryAndre thanks for the tip :D
How often do you use your bag?
During the high times two times per week after kettlebell training.
Is there a time limit that is given to complete this level 1 Bulgarian Bag Certification ?
It is all described in the video description. Please read that

What's the weight on this bag, makes it look very easy.
It think it says 12kg so that's about 26lbs
@@kniqhtfall Correct.. it is a 12kg bag.
It is a 12kg bag.
This guy is making it look easy, but he’s tired. I’d be dead. His grips are awesome.
How many levels are there?
