By closing your nasal cavity and vibrating their upper chest and frying can put any 2 note about 5 notes deeper, so it's not entirely vocal fry as there is actually the note there. Women can do this but its harder for women to hit the 1 octave range, Mariah Carrey can do this. It also happens that the small biological asymmetry makes it take more practice for women, but believe me, Mariah has more than enough practice for this.
@@antarezz What else would it be done with? I’m not asking you this as a challenge I’m genuinely curious. Is there a low note equivalent of using head voice?
I'd like to add in Mariah Carey's defence (not that she needs it since her talent speaks for itself) but she actually has (at the start of her career) done every note between Bb0 and A1, sorry to burst anyone's negative bubble 😎
I'm saying she's hit a Bb0 before, I didn't say she hit a Bb0 in this 😂 . In fact when she first started out she was known for having a "7 octave voice" or perhaps I'm lying, let's see who agrees with me
+Aléxanderoe Michaélangelo no...fry isnt counted in your vocal range...some prople on tv just didnt know what they're saying so they said that she has 7octave voice but they meant she can sing in 7th octave..
Okay, she got a A1 in vocal fry. But it means nothing, there is a woman who hitted a Bb1 in chest voice. So, if you consider vocal fry as part of the vocal range, I got a C0, and I am 14 years old. But i think everyone can hit lower than A1 with vocal fry, with practice.
So this was Ariana's inspiration when they were trying to make a new single and holla Mariah is singing a line "One last time" maybe we could make a song out of it. Lmao
This woman has never hit a note in the first octave. That is where a male bass singer sings. She's hitting notes at the top of the 2nd octave, almost in the third.
Good for you, i didn't say you can't or even that it's impressive. I just said she reached it in fry. And more, Mariah already showed that she can SUSTAIN notes in fry. Fry isn't only a guttural voice. If you don't produce a note's sound properly, it won't be considered as a sung note. This video is just an exemple of her fry.
It's not normal for anyone except baritones and basses to sing that low. Notes in the first octave aren't tenor range. You're claiming to be able to sing almost four full octaves, which isn't common at all either. Either you have an exceptional range or you're singing in falsetto or head voice to reach an A5, not belting. Even a mixed A5 would be extremely difficult for any male voice type to hit except for a counter tenor. In most cases, if you're hitting a supported B1 in the first octave, I'd say you're a baritone not a tenor. A bass could go lower than that.
+Sulphur Jellybean because its not straight note, its like bubbling note, not consistant, not staible, whistles can be straight full etc...thats why they count to vocal range
Lolkillme Someone said in a recent interview that she sounds good on recording and stage but sounds heavenly when you around her ans believe it ...Her voice is still there but I think she gets nervous nowadays ....for example here she sounds the same as her studio vocals
If you actually ask a professional singer/coach, they will not count "vocal fry" and "exclamations" as part of your vocal range. Vocal range is your singing note, something that you can actually control and incorporate in singing. However, Mariah's live performances showcased her wider vocal range: Lowest: F#2 - My All (freestyle singing at the end) Highest: Bb7 - Emotions (probably unintentional, but still sounded good)
@Famousvocal Yeah, she hit a C8 in one of her songs (I don't know which one.) One of her vocal doctors calmed she hit an F8, but there's no proof of it
So CAP. Why do y’all want this woman to have the widest range so bad? She barely has 5 octaves. Most of these notes don’t count. Anyone can go down to the 1st octave if they learn how to use vocal fry (which isn’t counted in the vocal range).
@@maxpotential-4074im sure she can go lower than a1 in vocal fry and higher than f#8 but in real singing, she has a f2-bb7(c#8) range. she has a good 5 octaves.
@@issamoodissavibe She has ZERO second octave notes and ZERO eighth octave notes. Her range (at best) is C#3-Bb7. The second octave notes that so many of y’all like to mention are barely audible and airy (basically nonexistent). I can squeak out a B7, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s apart of my overall vocal range. The vocal range is all of the notes a singer can hit consistently and clearly.
