What we are failing to observe is that the FBI knew about this guy for a long time and a week prior to this tragedy they were warned by someone close to Cruz of his intent to carry on a school shooting. In almost every instance of mass violence it seems that the law enforcement agencies fail to act, despite having clear and detailed information about what is about to happen. We are focusing our attention on the deranged individuals who carry out these crimes instead of looking at the ones who are paid to prevent them but over and over again fail to do so. Who benefits from allowing these mass shootings to occur? That is the question we have to ask ourselves.
