Ok just remember what I said in part one about imprinting. The wolves all have a soulmate. But see the term soulmate isn’t always a romantic relationship. It can be romantic. It can be mother and daughter. Teacher and student. Brother and sister. Best friend and best friend. Fate guides you to the person your life is tide to. Once you see them you can never be apart from them. And nether can the other person. It’s supposed to be a magical life fulfillment for them. But the roles for the two people in the relationship can change depending on the situation. And no matter what role fate gives them both parties feelings are completely genuine. So because Renesme is half human and half vampire she matures faster than humans do physically and mentally. In 7 years after her birth she’ll reach full maturity and will stop aging. And during her years growing up she matures faster each day. To be honest she could learn everything about the world on her own. Only thing her family can do is protect her. So as a kid Jacob will be her protector. In her late teen years Jacob will be her friend. And when she becomes a full vampier they’ll be something else. Fate will tell them which roles they need to be. And each time it’s they both are completely genuine about the roles they were given. Also as long as Jacob keeps shifting into a wolf his human form will never age. So he can live as long as Renesme does. A lot of fans confused this relationship with grooming but it’s actually not. Because of the type of being she is she LITERALLY can’t be manipulated. And like I said each role is completely genuine. Jacob’s not attracted to her when she’s a kid and he’s not gonna raise her either. When fate guides him to be a protector he genuinely feels like a protector. When fate guides them to be friends they’re genuinely going to be friends. And when fate guides them to be something else they really be in love. They know they end up together but they don’t focus on that. They just focus on what they need to do currently.

Just a movie/tv series suggestion. You guys should watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It’s an iconic show, there is mad cheesiness, bad fights all the way to great battles, horrible special effects to excellent ones, humor and intense drama. Like the twilight series it would be a juxtaposition of what you would usually watch thus very interesting to see your reactions. Oh yeah and it was created by Joss Whedon who you know from the MCU. Anyway I’d love to see you do this series. Love the channel, truly enjoy watching.
It was even more profound in the theaters! The whole audience screamed in disbelief!! As the battle went on, it was epic hearing all the emotions from us as it went on. When the twist came, I swear I felt the whole theatre shake with the cheering. I still compare opening nights of other movies to that moment in grabbing your audience and not letting go until that twist moment.
@lindastanfield7642 I was the only one in my group at the theater who had read the books and I was in shock because in the books they don't explain what the vision is that she is showing Aro, you have an idea kind of but you don't know exactly what it is. We just see it from Bella's perspective. So when that all happened in the movie in the theater I was completely shocked and everybody was looking at me for an explanation and I was just as shocked as they were

The fake out with the fight scene is one of the best movie twists ever. The whole fight was never in the books so when fans went to the theater to see it there was shock, confusion, crying, screaming, then joy. 😂 It was an amazing theater experience! In the books they call them shapeshifters but in the movies they said werewolves. 🤷♀️
Yes, that's true. I remember seeing it in the theatre. Everyone was screaaaaming when Carlisle's head was shown. I was screaming myself as they took all of my favourite characters (Carlisle, Jasper and poor Seth - I loved these in the books).
For real! I’ll never forget how that movie made me feel and the chaos that was erupting in that theater, it was madness. All of our eyes fell out our heads that day. My husband (who was a twilight wife supporter, not a fan) freaked the fk out when Carlisle died. By Leah’s death we were distraught and incoherent by that point. Ahhh when the only mainstream discourse was Team Edward vs Team Jacob. Life was fun then.
Honestly, this is what reaction channels should be all about. Being open to new experiences, being genuine, and enjoying the moments, whether they're good or bad, or just plain sparkling. You can either be invested and enjoy them for what they are, or you can be pretentious about it and hate them for not being literary and cinematic masterpieces. The first way is wise and good, the second is just ridiculous. I dislike most modern movies because they’re trying too hard to be revolutionary, deep, transcendent, masterful, when they’re actually really shallow and dumb. But I can enjoy Twilight because it’s not trying and failing to be some insane piece of art, it’s just being what it is.

At the end, the noun phrase “a part” is used to refer to a piece of a larger whole) He is a part of them, i loved it as well, Oak is actually watching a movie here.. his intentions are mature and good(d) from my point of view. The guy sitting on the right ( i have no idea what is his name ) is hiding behind an "adult" ego (secretly enjoying this movie) , while the others have their hearts open (ish) Those moments when they write "good stuff" as lines to "use" is so immature and highly manipulative when used inauthentically. I did not appreciate that, some have HEALING to do. ( GOODD MEDICINE ) Which is good in a sense. Life isn't about being a blob of meat.
You got the two wolves who died in the battle right. The one that was crushed was Seth. Leah was the one who threw herself at the vampire attacking Esme to save her and fell to her death. Leah's sacrifice was especially powerful because she doesn't even like the Cullens. She only defected to Jake's pack to get away from Sam and to keep an eye on Seth. She didn't care if the Cullens lived or died. So her sacrificing herself for Esme was very emotional to me.
This is probably THE best reaction video ever. This whole series has been such a journey and a truly enjoyable experience because of the openness, humor, genuineness, and creativity of the 3 of you. And this final video definitely sealed the deal. Watching reactors see the fight scene for the 1st time, not knowing it is just a vision, then realizing none of it actually happened is always such an experience and you guys did not disappoint. Oak, thank you for all of your words of wisdom at the end of each video and for never being afraid to express your emotions. Your final montage of your video memories and title cards was epic! That closing montage with Last Exception was perfect 🤣😂😂😂😂 But I’m not gonna lie; I got a little teary eyed. That was a whole era right there, the Twilight saga. Also, the best thing about this saga was the soundtrack! Paramore made this era iconic with Decode. Play it at any venue and literally everyone in their 20s and early 30s will sing their heart out 😂😂
Also, watching this in the cinema when the battle scene happened - it was an incredible atmosphere, people really didn't know what was happening - because as far it goes, as a vision, it doesn't let you know it's one of alice's visions, which is why it was the craziest twist ever.
Plus, in the book the ending was pretty lame, they basically just talked, Alice held Aro‘s hand, he saw he would die and then decided to just bug off. 🤷🏼♀️ For that it was so lame in the books, they used it very well and made a good decent battle scene out of it.

The cold open made me almost cry laughing, and having read the comments first, I had really high expectations for the tribute part… thinking that it’d be hilarious… but darn it! It just made me remember all the fantastic time I had watching your reactions to this saga, and I couldn’t help but become emotional! Coming from someone who read the books and watched this movie in theaters, I can promise you the whole crowd screamed and cried when the camera panned to the head of Carlisle. I have never felt like I was apart of community like that at the movies EVER! The scene was intense! Love you reactions guys! Keep ‘em coming!

Best cinema moment! I was 12 years old with 10 of my friends in the back row and we all screamed at the same time. I believe some of us almost cried, such an incredible collective moment of shared emotion and passion for this wild vampire journey
OMG the "credits" killed me kkkkkkkk And about Jacob, according to the books, the wolfs live a very long life, but are not immortal, however, because of the Imprinting thing, they can live even longer if their mate (or something) live longer, for example: Sam is supposedly older than Emily (his wife) so if he was a normal human, he probably would die before her, but because he is a wolf, he will live as long as Emily is alive. So since Renesme is an immortal being, Jake will live even longer than his feller wolfs, probably forever.
I'm pretty sure they are immortal as the books state the original basically lived completely un-aging until he elected to give up his wolf form when he found the wife that ended up sacrificing herself to save him.
I love that The Oak was able to appreciate Bella sharing her memories with Edward at the end. That is always such a powerful moment for me watching the movies so it was cool to see!
Edward and Bella’s kid was mostly cgi throughout the whole movie. They only used Mackenzie Foy and use prediction technology to create the younger and older versions of her. She’s about 20 now and looks almost identical to the movie.
In the book, they are referred to as werewolves by Bella the whole time, but they (specifically Aro) points out during the stand-off that they aren’t truly “children of the moon” who are never referred to beyond that, it only vaguely implies that they’re different from the wolf pack and much more formidable and threatening to vampires than the pack is and then you’re left to fill in the rest with your imagination. I always figured it was a subtle nod to The Underworld movies.
Oak just shines with his insightful, thoughtful, empathetic and compassionate personality. He comes out with the most well rounded and fleshed out comments, seriously either really pays attention or just has a keen eye for meaningful things. He catches on to everything and I appreciate that he can see what holds the most weight and has the most substance/moments that we shouldn't take for granted (like the love shown at the end). The journey can be a little wild at times but what makes it worth it is all the hidden gems you can find! The edit was hysterical and a cinematic masterpiece!
Oak is definitely the one that knows how internet works 😂 he's always doing his best for his audience whether he likes it or not but he's giving haha (about his sparkly face) 👌🏽
1.Reneseme was cgi as a baby because in the books she is described as being more of a baby sized adult than a normal baby (proportions, hair… born with a full set of teeth 💀) 2.I cannot DESCRIBE how it felt watching the final battle in theatres… the PANDEMONIUM!! Since the battle you see in the movie is a vision, it doesn’t happen in the books at all… we were screaming and shouting and crying lmao
@@BaddMedicine the director basically told the screenwriter that he needed her to find him something worth five movies. The book literally just has everyone gather and it ends with a conversation. Which would have been totally boring for a movie. So cheers to the screenwriter for seeing that there was room to show the audience what Arrow could have possibly seen in Alices mind that would simply send everyone home in peace, when the readers knew that Arrow wanted the Cullens dead so he could steal Alice.

Those "it was all a dream/not real" thing often gets a bad reputation, but this movie did it perfectly I think. Everyone watching this is shocked the first time around, but relieved when possibly beloved characters didn't die.

The explanation behind baby Renesmee being CGI was that in the books she is described to be extremely expressive even as a newborn. She's able to look at people with the same kind of attention an adult would, and so the only way to show that was to CGI her as a baby. They had one other option while filming which was to use a sort of animatronic doll but it was very disturbing even the cast felt creeped out by it, there's pictures of it on Google btw!

@@madih4586well, wandel is correct. although your point does hold true also. i think it depends on which term you use; cherub or cherubim. the modern artistic depiction of “cherubs” is meant to imply angelic innocence. cherubim however, as described in the Bible, are actually quite terrifying and supernatural. angels in the Bible often have an unnatural and disturbing appearance (eyes/wings/bodies etc), this is why they always greet humans with “be not afraid”. it’s quite interesting if you’d like to look it up
In regards to the werewolf-shapeshifter debate, it was explained much more in the books. The tribe follows different rules regarding shapeshifting, and after reading Edward’s thoughts, Aro himself explained to the Volturi that at the time of the first shifting, it could have been a bird or a cat. The fact that it was a wolf was completely coincidental. Caius mentioned “werewolves” because there is a species in the Twilight world that better matches that term. They’re called the Children of the Moon; they shift during the full moon, are affected by silver, are more monstrous in their wolf forms, and can kill vampires. However, when the Volturi took power from the Romanians, they hunted the Children to near extinction, and that’s why we never see them in the books or the movies. In the book, the Volturi initially thought that the Children had returned (which is why they stopped advancing upon seeing the wolves). Also, yes, the Romanians were supposed to be the last remains of an ancient time when the Romanians ruled the vampire world instead of the Italians (the Volturi). Their names are Vladimir and Stefan, they’re possibly the oldest vampires to date, and I’m pretty sure one of them is supposed to be Dracula. Finally: Thank you for the edit at the end. Made me feel really nostalgic and happy.
So I don't know if someone mentioned it before but Marcus (the very depressed Volturi) was married to Aro's sister. They were going to leave the Volturi but Aro had her killed so Marcus wouldn't leave. That's why he's just done with everything.

Jacob could live as long as Renesme. The Quileute's powers are sort of active whenever there are vampires around. Since Jacob will always be with Renesme, who is a half-vampire, his powers will stay on. As long as he keeps shifting into wolf form from time to time, his human body would not age.

Sooo I haven’t watched the series in a minute but rewatching it with y’all SLAPPED! Like i need more Charlie stans and appreciation of the aesthetics that came from this series book, movies and all. In the books Caius tries to pick a fight claiming they are aligned with their enemies who are "the children of the moon" but Aro stops him and clarifies they are not that but rather shape shifters. The choice of wolf form is a coincidence, if their first ancestor who had shifted had chosen a bear for example then all descendants would have turned into bears. Caius hates werewolves (theory is he nearly lost in a fight to one lol) and has hunted them across Europe to near extinction. Also for Jacob he can live forever as long as he continues to shift, if he stops shifting he will eventually begin to age. Many wolves once they imprint eventually stop shifting so they can age and spend the rest of their days with their "mate" as having them die and live on eternally is too painful. They also go into more detail about the other half human half vampire. There is a vampire in south America who considers himself a "scientist" and has been trying to create half/half children. He has made a few, the rest female. All the mothers have died as well as after he seduces them and gets the pregnant he leaves the, the children claw their way out of their moms and he finds them. It's only because Edward loves Bella that she lives.
The tribute/credits was a literal stroke of genius!! I was dying of laughter. I cannot express how much these reactions made my day everytime a new one came out. My mom was obsessed with these books and the movies as they'd come out, she'd go to the midnight showings and everything. So my sisters and I grew up waching these movies. Well a month ago my sister got married and she walked down the aisle to A Thousand Years, I'll be real it made me cry lol
I really enjoyed this series of reactions! These movies are a whirlwind, and I appreciate you going into them with an open mind. We know that Twilight is pretty bad in general, but they are very entertaining and nostalgic movies, which makes up for it. The books are interesting. There is actually a version of the first one from Edward’s POV.

The way you did the black and white segment was perfect hahaha, what a journey it's been! I'm so glad you guys gave this series a genuine try and that you were able to get some laughs and enjoyable moments out of it, despite all the cringe and what not. The black and white ending in the movie actually got me (and everyone else in the theater) super emotional, a lot of people I know (myself included!) went through their teen years with these movies so it was bittersweet watching it come to an end (and to be quite honest, I still get kind of emotional when I see it nowadays just because of the good memories and when I realize how much time has passed). I post this on practically every Breaking Dawn reaction I see at this point 🙈, but I remember my audience's reaction to the final battle as it was NOT in the books. People thought the movie makers had decided to change the book ending completely as it would be unsatisfactory as a movie finale, so the moment our favorite characters started dying, people in my audience started screaming and crying 😂😂 then when it turned out to be a vision... whew, I will never forget that moment. Oh man I was losing my mind at that ending. This was such a lovely journey to go on! Twilight was such a big thing when I was a (pre)teen and I just loved revisiting it with you. Also, if you thought the CGI baby was bad… there was also the animatronic
I did not expect Oak to be the one who got so into the series, but I love it! This whole journey started out with me wanting to see how three grown men would react to Twilight, and the varied reactions delighted me, as well as your thoughtful and respectful insight, while still having fun with it! That was such a beautiful message from Oak at the end,I genuinely teared up. The way he related to Bella allowing Edward to read her mind, to his love for his kid, was so heartwarming. Even as a hard core twilight fan who has seen the movies hundreds of times, I never thought of it that way. And I especially loved Oak’s message about not basing your worth off of other people’s opinions of you. I definitely went through a very dark time in my life where I was heartbroken and convincing myself that I wasn’t lovable, and I’ve slowly been rewiring my brain to be more empathetic with myself and accept that I deserve love and happiness. Anyways, enough with the cheese. I sincerely appreciate your dedication to reacting to this series and how much you guys paid attention and were invested. It is cringe, stupid, and ridiculous, but it could also be entertaining, beautiful, and exciting. You guys gave me a new perspective on the story. i wish they blatantly mentioned in the movie (because it’s mentioned in the book) that as long as the wolves continue to shift, they basically dont age and kind of making them immortal. i cant remember if they do quickly mention it in the movie and most just overlook the small detail. but its pretty cool in my opinion lol
In the books you don't see Alice's vision. Alice shows up and then everyone goes home so the battle scene was a huge plot twist when the movie came out.

When Answer said “I’m just glad that it’s over” I really had a good laugh because of that 😂 just like everyone comes to watch Harry Potter journey for Snape’s memories, Twilight is bearable for that epic battle at the end. I’m glad that despite its flaws Oak really enjoyed the movies without nitpicking too much and only give valid criticism such as the horrible CGI and baby grooming part. You’re right the actor for Aro really did a good job here, he also did a great job in Underworld movies as Lucian and even in Tron Legacy. Also guys that end credit scenes of 1000 years by you guys was so iconic 😂 in the end I’m glad Oak is team Edward. No matter how cringeworthy Twilight is I have same sentiments as Oak about the whole love story, the dynamics of all characters and fights in general. Just remove the love triangle and cringe dialogues it could’ve been a good series however Breaking Down 2 is still a great standalone movie.

As much as this series was more of a jokey suggestion, I think this has to be one of my favourite series reaction you guys have done! You always looked like you were having such a blast!!
I'm a 49 year old woman. My sister had a freaky thing with this movie. Eventually, I was out of town at her house and she made me watch them with her. They storyline was very good. I get the fascination by women, I guess. He knew she was coming and waited. She always felt different and turned out she was destined to change. How the triangle was always supposed to happen because Jacob was meant to imprint on her. I think it fell together wonderfully. Some of the chi effects were elementary but considering the year, it is what it is. As far as wolves voice-overs...they had to give the audience the inner monolog....of wolves. I enjoyed them. Watch them occasionally.
Great reaction guys, what a journey!! They don't explain the werewolf/shapeshifter thing in the movies, but in the books there are real werewolves who are sworn enemies to vampire (as the voltori mentioned) however Jacob's tribe specifically aren't real werewolves. It explains the story of quileute spirit warriors who had the ability of astral projection, so their spirits could leave their bodies, though they couldn't harm their enemies they could blow winds etc and scare them away. Only animals could see them in this state. Basically the last spirit warrior chief who wanted peace kicked out a man from the tribe as he wanted to use their powers to expand their control over the territory. This man then then shifted into the chiefs body while he was astral projecting and killed his own body to get rid of the chief. Being away from his body for so long the chief ended up shifting into the body of a great wolf, and their 2 spirits as one went to the village to expose the false chief. An different warrior went into the spirit world and heard from the chief what happened, but before he could tell anyone the fake chief killed his body. In anger the real wolf chief shifted from a wolf into a man and all was revealed. So that's why the quileute's aren't real werewolves but shapeshifters even though werewolves do exist in the twilight universe.

Ok just remember what I said in part one about imprinting. The wolves all have a soulmate. But see the term soulmate isn’t always a romantic relationship. It can be romantic. It can be mother and daughter. Teacher and student. Brother and sister. Best friend and best friend. Fate guides you to the person your life is tide to. Once you see them you can never be apart from them. And nether can the other person. It’s supposed to be a magical life fulfillment for them. But the roles for the two people in the relationship can change depending on the situation. And no matter what role fate gives them both parties feelings are completely genuine. So because Renesme is half human and half vampire she matures faster than humans do physically and mentally. In 7 years after her birth she’ll reach full maturity and will stop aging. And during her years growing up she matures faster each day. To be honest she could learn everything about the world on her own. Only thing her family can do is protect her. So as a kid Jacob will be her protector. In her late teen years Jacob will be her friend. And when she becomes a full vampier they’ll be something else. Fate will tell them which roles they need to be. And each time it’s they both are completely genuine about the roles they were given. Also as long as Jacob keeps shifting into a wolf his human form will never age. So he can live as long as Renesme does. A lot of fans confused this relationship with grooming but it’s actually not. Because of the type of being she is she LITERALLY can’t be manipulated. And like I said each role is completely genuine. Jacob’s not attracted to her when she’s a kid and he’s not gonna raise her either. When fate guides him to be a protector he genuinely feels like a protector. When fate guides them to be friends they’re genuinely going to be friends. And when fate guides them to be something else they really be in love. They know they end up together but they don’t focus on that. They just focus on what they need to do currently.

Just a movie/tv series suggestion. You guys should watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It’s an iconic show, there is mad cheesiness, bad fights all the way to great battles, horrible special effects to excellent ones, humor and intense drama. Like the twilight series it would be a juxtaposition of what you would usually watch thus very interesting to see your reactions. Oh yeah and it was created by Joss Whedon who you know from the MCU. Anyway I’d love to see you do this series. Love the channel, truly enjoy watching.

It was even more profound in the theaters! The whole audience screamed in disbelief!! As the battle went on, it was epic hearing all the emotions from us as it went on. When the twist came, I swear I felt the whole theatre shake with the cheering. I still compare opening nights of other movies to that moment in grabbing your audience and not letting go until that twist moment.
@lindastanfield7642 I was the only one in my group at the theater who had read the books and I was in shock because in the books they don't explain what the vision is that she is showing Aro, you have an idea kind of but you don't know exactly what it is. We just see it from Bella's perspective. So when that all happened in the movie in the theater I was completely shocked and everybody was looking at me for an explanation and I was just as shocked as they were

The fake out with the fight scene is one of the best movie twists ever. The whole fight was never in the books so when fans went to the theater to see it there was shock, confusion, crying, screaming, then joy. 😂 It was an amazing theater experience!

Yes, that's true. I remember seeing it in the theatre. Everyone was screaaaaming when Carlisle's head was shown. I was screaming myself as they took all of my favourite characters (Carlisle, Jasper and poor Seth - I loved these in the books).
I came here to say this. I was one of those crying screaming individuals 😏 It was the best movie experience I had prior to Endgame.
For real! I’ll never forget how that movie made me feel and the chaos that was erupting in that theater, it was madness. All of our eyes fell out our heads that day. My husband (who was a twilight wife supporter, not a fan) freaked the fk out when Carlisle died. By Leah’s death we were distraught and incoherent by that point. Ahhh when the only mainstream discourse was Team Edward vs Team Jacob. Life was fun then.

You can either be invested and enjoy them for what they are, or you can be pretentious about it and hate them for not being literary and cinematic masterpieces. The first way is wise and good, the second is just ridiculous. I dislike most modern movies because they’re trying too hard to be revolutionary, deep, transcendent, masterful, when they’re actually really shallow and dumb. But I can enjoy Twilight because it’s not trying and failing to be some insane piece of art, it’s just being what it is.

You got the two wolves who died in the battle right. The one that was crushed was Seth. Leah was the one who threw herself at the vampire attacking Esme to save her and fell to her death. Leah's sacrifice was especially powerful because she doesn't even like the Cullens. She only defected to Jake's pack to get away from Sam and to keep an eye on Seth. She didn't care if the Cullens lived or died. So her sacrificing herself for Esme was very emotional to me.

Jasper's death hit me the hardest not that Leah, Seth's, and Carlisle's deaths weren't hard to deal with.

Also, watching this in the cinema when the battle scene happened - it was an incredible atmosphere, people really didn't know what was happening - because as far it goes, as a vision, it doesn't let you know it's one of alice's visions, which is why it was the craziest twist ever.
Plus, in the book the ending was pretty lame, they basically just talked, Alice held Aro‘s hand, he saw he would die and then decided to just bug off. 🤷🏼♀️ For that it was so lame in the books, they used it very well and made a good decent battle scene out of it.

Coming from someone who read the books and watched this movie in theaters, I can promise you the whole crowd screamed and cried when the camera panned to the head of Carlisle. Best cinema moment! I was 12 years old with 10 of my friends in the back row and we all screamed at the same time. I believe some of us almost cried, such an incredible collective moment of shared emotion and passion for this wild vampire journey

And about Jacob, according to the books, the wolfs live a very long life, but are not immortal, however, because of the Imprinting thing, they can live even longer if their mate (or something) live longer, for example: Sam is supposedly older than Emily (his wife) so if he was a normal human, he probably would die before her, but because he is a wolf, he will live as long as Emily is alive. So since Renesme is an immortal being, Jake will live even longer than his feller wolfs, probably forever.
I thought it was also because of how often they shift. In the books it said something like the more they shift the less they age.
Yeah I think that shifting stops aging, so they can age if they stop wolfing out.
I'm pretty sure they are immortal as the books state the original basically lived completely un-aging until he elected to give up his wolf form when he found the wife that ended up sacrificing herself to save him.

I love that The Oak was able to appreciate Bella sharing her memories with Edward at the end. That is always such a powerful moment for me watching the movies so it was cool to see!
Edward and Bella’s kid was mostly cgi throughout the whole movie. They only used Mackenzie Foy and use prediction technology to create the younger and older versions of her. She’s about 20 now and looks almost identical to the movie.

In the book, they are referred to as werewolves by Bella the whole time, but they (specifically Aro) points out during the stand-off that they aren’t truly “children of the moon” who are never referred to beyond that, it only vaguely implies that they’re different from the wolf pack and much more formidable and threatening to vampires than the pack is and then you’re left to fill in the rest with your imagination. I always figured it was a subtle nod to The Underworld movies.
Oak just shines with his insightful, thoughtful, empathetic and compassionate personality.
He comes out with the most well rounded and fleshed out comments, seriously either really pays attention or just has a keen eye for meaningful things. He catches on to everything and I appreciate that he can see what holds the most weight and has the most substance/moments that we shouldn't take for granted (like the love shown at the end).
The journey can be a little wild at times but what makes it worth it is all the hidden gems you can find!
The edit was hysterical and a cinematic masterpiece!

1.Reneseme was cgi as a baby because in the books she is described as being more of a baby sized adult than a normal baby (proportions, hair… born with a full set of teeth 💀)
2.I cannot DESCRIBE how it felt watching the final battle in theatres… the PANDEMONIUM!! Since the battle you see in the movie is a vision, it doesn’t happen in the books at all… we were screaming and shouting and crying lmao

@@BaddMedicine the director basically told the screenwriter that he needed her to find him something worth five movies. The book literally just has everyone gather and it ends with a conversation. Which would have been totally boring for a movie. So cheers to the screenwriter for seeing that there was room to show the audience what Arrow could have possibly seen in Alices mind that would simply send everyone home in peace, when the readers knew that Arrow wanted the Cullens dead so he could steal Alice.

Those "it was all a dream/not real" thing often gets a bad reputation, but this movie did it perfectly I think. Everyone watching this is shocked the first time around, but relieved when possibly beloved characters didn't die.

The explanation behind baby Renesmee being CGI was that in the books she is described to be extremely expressive even as a newborn. She's able to look at people with the same kind of attention an adult would, and so the only way to show that was to CGI her as a baby. They had one other option while filming which was to use a sort of animatronic doll but it was very disturbing even the cast felt creeped out by it, there's pictures of it on Google btw!
She was also supernaturally pretty. She didn't look like a normal baby. More like an angelic cherub. They tried to express that by using cgi.

@@madih4586well, wandel is correct. although your point does hold true also. i think it depends on which term you use; cherub or cherubim. the modern artistic depiction of “cherubs” is meant to imply angelic innocence. cherubim however, as described in the Bible, are actually quite terrifying and supernatural. angels in the Bible often have an unnatural and disturbing appearance (eyes/wings/bodies etc), this is why they always greet humans with “be not afraid”. it’s quite interesting if you’d like to look it up

In regards to the werewolf-shapeshifter debate, it was explained much more in the books. The tribe follows different rules regarding shapeshifting, and after reading Edward’s thoughts, Aro himself explained to the Volturi that at the time of the first shifting, it could have been a bird or a cat. The fact that it was a wolf was completely coincidental.
Caius mentioned “werewolves” because there is a species in the Twilight world that better matches that term. They’re called the Children of the Moon; they shift during the full moon, are affected by silver, are more monstrous in their wolf forms, and can kill vampires. However, when the Volturi took power from the Romanians, they hunted the Children to near extinction, and that’s why we never see them in the books or the movies. In the book, the Volturi initially thought that the Children had returned (which is why they stopped advancing upon seeing the wolves).
Also, yes, the Romanians were supposed to be the last remains of an ancient time when the Romanians ruled the vampire world instead of the Italians (the Volturi). Their names are Vladimir and Stefan, they’re possibly the oldest vampires to date, and I’m pretty sure one of them is supposed to be Dracula.

So I don't know if someone mentioned it before but Marcus (the very depressed Volturi) was married to Aro's sister. They were going to leave the Volturi but Aro had her killed so Marcus wouldn't leave. That's why he's just done with everything.

Jacob could live as long as Renesme. The Quileute's powers are sort of active whenever there are vampires around. Since Jacob will always be with Renesme, who is a half-vampire, his powers will stay on. As long as he keeps shifting into wolf form from time to time, his human body would not age.

Sooo I haven’t watched the series in a minute but rewatching it with y’all SLAPPED! Like i need more Charlie stans and appreciation of the aesthetics that came from this series book, movies and all. The soundtrack stays with you and Robert Pattinson actually did at least two of the tracks. You should definitely react to The Host! Love these sci-fi/fantasy reactions !

You probably saw it in other comments but the fight scene was not in the book so you can just imagine the chaos in the theater with people asking WTF is happening!! . In the books Caius tries to pick a fight claiming they are aligned with their enemies who are "the children of the moon" but Aro stops him and clarifies they are not that but rather shape shifters. The choice of wolf form is a coincidence, if their first ancestor who had shifted had chosen a bear for example then all descendants would have turned into bears. Caius hates werewolves (theory is he nearly lost in a fight to one lol) and has hunted them across Europe to near extinction.
Also for Jacob he can live forever as long as he continues to shift, if he stops shifting he will eventually begin to age. Many wolves once they imprint eventually stop shifting so they can age and spend the rest of their days with their "mate" as having them die and live on eternally is too painful.
They also go into more detail about the other half human half vampire. There is a vampire in south America who considers himself a "scientist" and has been trying to create half/half children. He has made a few, the rest female. All the mothers have died as well as after he seduces them and gets the pregnant he leaves the, the children claw their way out of their moms and he finds them. It's only because Edward loves Bella that she lives.
The tribute/credits was a literal stroke of genius!! I was dying of laughter. I cannot express how much these reactions made my day everytime a new one came out. I'm so happy you guys gave this series a shot, and had some great fun doing so. Absolutely love you guys, and I can't wait to see what you watch next!!!

My mom was obsessed with these books and the movies as they'd come out, she'd go to the midnight showings and everything. So my sisters and I grew up waching these movies. Well a month ago my sister got married and she walked down the aisle to A Thousand Years, I'll be real it made me cry lol
I really enjoyed this series of reactions! These movies are a whirlwind, and I appreciate you going into them with an open mind. We know that Twilight is pretty bad in general, but they are very entertaining and nostalgic movies, which makes up for it. The books are interesting. There is actually a version of the first one from Edward’s POV.
We didn't expect to have this much fun with this series.

The way you did the black and white segment was perfect hahaha, what a journey it's been! I'm so glad you guys gave this series a genuine try and that you were able to get some laughs and enjoyable moments out of it, despite all the cringe and what not. The black and white ending in the movie actually got me (and everyone else in the theater) super emotional, a lot of people I know (myself included!) went through their teen years with these movies so it was bittersweet watching it come to an end (and to be quite honest, I still get kind of emotional when I see it nowadays just because of the good memories and when I realize how much time has passed). I post this on practically every Breaking Dawn reaction I see at this point 🙈, but I remember my audience's reaction to the final battle as it was NOT in the books. People thought the movie makers had decided to change the book ending completely as it would be unsatisfactory as a movie finale, so the moment our favorite characters started dying, people in my audience started screaming and crying 😂😂 then when it turned out to be a vision... whew, I will never forget that moment. The anger was out of this WORLD, but it's a movie theater moment that'll stay with me forever. Either way, it's been a journey guys! Thank you! (P.S.: Oak! You're a vision with all that glitter!! ✨✨)

I did not expect Oak to be the one who got so into the series, but I love it! This whole journey started out with me wanting to see how three grown men would react to Twilight, and the varied reactions delighted me, as well as your thoughtful and respectful insight, while still having fun with it! That was such a beautiful message from Oak at the end,I genuinely teared up. The way he related to Bella allowing Edward to read her mind, to his love for his kid, was so heartwarming. Even as a hard core twilight fan who has seen the movies hundreds of times, I never thought of it that way. And I especially loved Oak’s message about not basing your worth off of other people’s opinions of you. I definitely went through a very dark time in my life where I was heartbroken and convincing myself that I wasn’t lovable, and I’ve slowly been rewiring my brain to be more empathetic with myself and accept that I deserve love and happiness.
Anyways, enough with the cheese. I sincerely appreciate your dedication to reacting to this series and how much you guys paid attention and were invested. It is cringe, stupid, and ridiculous, but it could also be entertaining, beautiful, and exciting. You guys gave me a new perspective on the story.

i wish they blatantly mentioned in the movie (because it’s mentioned in the book) that as long as the wolves continue to shift, they basically dont age and kind of making them immortal. i cant remember if they do quickly mention it in the movie and most just overlook the small detail. but its pretty cool in my opinion lol
In the books you don't see Alice's vision. Alice shows up and then everyone goes home so the battle scene was a huge plot twist when the movie came out.

When Answer said “I’m just glad that it’s over” I really had a good laugh because of that 😂 just like everyone comes to watch Harry Potter journey for Snape’s memories, Twilight is bearable for that epic battle at the end. I’m glad that despite its flaws Oak really enjoyed the movies without nitpicking too much and only give valid criticism such as the horrible CGI and baby grooming part. You’re right the actor for Aro really did a good job here, he also did a great job in Underworld movies as Lucian and even in Tron Legacy. Also guys that end credit scenes of 1000 years by you guys was so iconic 😂 in the end I’m glad Oak is team Edward. No matter how cringeworthy Twilight is I have same sentiments as Oak about the whole love story, the dynamics of all characters and fights in general. Just remove the love triangle and cringe dialogues it could’ve been a good series however Breaking Down 2 is still a great standalone movie.

As much as this series was more of a jokey suggestion, I think this has to be one of my favourite series reaction you guys have done! You always looked like you were having such a blast!!
I'm a 49 year old woman. My sister had a freaky thing with this movie. Eventually, I was out of town at her house and she made me watch them with her. They storyline was very good. I get the fascination by women, I guess. He knew she was coming and waited. She always felt different and turned out she was destined to change. How the triangle was always supposed to happen because Jacob was meant to imprint on her. I think it fell together wonderfully. Some of the chi effects were elementary but considering the year, it is what it is. As far as wolves voice-overs...they had to give the audience the inner monolog....of wolves. I enjoyed them. Watch them occasionally.
Great reaction guys, what a journey!! They don't explain the werewolf/shapeshifter thing in the movies, but in the books there are real werewolves who are sworn enemies to vampire (as the voltori mentioned) however Jacob's tribe specifically aren't real werewolves. It explains the story of quileute spirit warriors who had the ability of astral projection, so their spirits could leave their bodies, though they couldn't harm their enemies they could blow winds etc and scare them away. Only animals could see them in this state. Basically the last spirit warrior chief who wanted peace kicked out a man from the tribe as he wanted to use their powers to expand their control over the territory. This man then then shifted into the chiefs body while he was astral projecting and killed his own body to get rid of the chief. Being away from his body for so long the chief ended up shifting into the body of a great wolf, and their 2 spirits as one went to the village to expose the false chief. An different warrior went into the spirit world and heard from the chief what happened, but before he could tell anyone the fake chief killed his body. In anger the real wolf chief shifted from a wolf into a man and all was revealed. So that's why the quileute's aren't real werewolves but shapeshifters even though werewolves do exist in the twilight universe.
