Masta Peace, I saw your video last night and thumbed it up immediately. There was only a minor thing I thought about and I share it with you. As I heard your question, I thought to myself, if I was living in that time, in those ages, as you asked, I might have been brain washed like many others, believing in what scientific evidences shown to me then. If I didn't hear then that there are people against it, if didn't hear their reason, I would have stayed deceived! Similar to Flat Earth, If I didn't search youtube for alien videos 2 years ago, if the video of "fake moon landing" didn't pop up on the side bar, if I didn't click on it, if I was closed minded and stopped the search there, if the FE video by Eric didn't pop up in recommended list of videos later on, if I didn't click on it, and if... Then, I still had a globe earth in my mind knowing nothing about any other model for earth. I might not have chosen to be vegetarian or a vegan... So being right now, right here, under your video writing these words, is a combination of 10s of "if"s. Fortunately, this thought about your question didn't stop me to keep listening to you and get the point. I agree, animals deserve as much freedom as humans. Close minded people who will think the same thing as I stated above when they hear your question, something happens in their brains: "Curtains Drop". They won't hear you anymore after that point even if they keep watching. Their brain don't let them. Just as a thought, maybe you can twist your question a bit and ask, if there is a country exactly like yours but slavery is legal there and you can easily go leave there and have slaves to serve you, would you go to live there? If answer is yes then argue is finished and if the answer is "hell no" then they have to answer how would they be ok with killing animals for their flesh or abuse them for their products directly or by paying others do it for them? Hey! great points and questions and thanks for your time! I like the alternative question you pose except for one thing! There were places during slavery that had abolished it before other regions. However, before, during and after - all the way up to present day, there are NO places where animal keeping, cruelty, torture and slaughter are outlawed. No safe place for them on any continent! Im trying to break through the brainwashing thats been placed on us to think that eating flesh foods is ok, natural or healthy. It will change just like every other injustice in the past. An african serval cat just escaped and is running loose, and they want to capture it and find a home for it. When a dog runs away the whole town calls pet services to reunite it with its owner. When a pet abused and shown on the news it causes an uproar. Yet every MINUTE of every day of every year of every decade animals are being enslaved, tortured, branded, molested, kidnapped and slaughtered and nobody says anything because its "their food". which it of course is NOT, it is another sentient being. So today mirrors back then, why are we not forcing governments to end slavery PERIOD. 100% right. We don't know how many vegans there are in the world or how many turning vegan everyday. The statistics are in hands of BAD GUYS unfortunately. About cats and dogs you are right again. Humans I think pretend to love their cats or dogs. How could someone love a cat or dog but send it under nife for their thing being cut so they can't have sex. Pets get vaccines to make sure they die quicker than they should so owner buys another. Animals should be let free not only from butchers and nife or from abusive product collection, but also from pet lovers! Thanks for reading :)
