- Ed Miliband has come under fire from Reform Party leader Richard Tice, who claims his "obsession" with Net Zero has left the UK vulnerable by jeopardising its steel industry.
In a Parliamentary debate on Wednesday, Tice warned that Britain could soon become the only major industrial nation without general steel-making capacity.

Well argued Richard Tice. Practicality is being eroded by fairy tale ideology.
Tice is spot on, these politicians couldn't run a lemonade stand let alone a country. We need to run the UK like a business and be profitable, a country that makes nothing itself is automatically on a downward spiral.
I was told by a person in the know about EA furnaces that we have no extra electricity capacity to supply power, there is talk of a new mini nuke power station at Bridgend. But this is YEARS away. Our industry is being dismantled, its deliberate . We need Reform

Not manufacturing also means we don't develop those industries, create new technology associated with them that we can then export. Britain was and still is the brain box of the world that we make so little use of because we rely on foreign imports for so much instead of producing it. Invention is the outcome of necessity.

Richard mate you said it your self British steel owned by china so why are your trying to fight for this... let it die and look to rebuild it in a few years with new British investment.... some times its the only way to get the industry's in your country back in to the hands of the country. so the money and investment stays in the country.
If you let it die the rail network in this country has six weeks before it collapses, 4 weeks for the London underground. You cannot ship the required lengths through the channel tunnel.
If we let it die I cannot imagine we could ever start it up again. The land probably won’t even exist any more for a start. Thanks Richard for caring so much for this country. The Labour Party obviously has no care for this country whatsoever.
@@paullawson5292 and that sort of pressure and incentive is the reason it would start back up again but hopefully under British investment, at the moment any profit out of the British made steal is going straight out of the country..... and all the factors from amount of people employed to amount of steal made is all decided by a foreign country... privatization in a country as small as ours does bread competition it drives monopoly's and so far the foreign company's are draining all the money from our great country....
