I am very short and used to work in Attractions at Disney World. I had a blonde pixie cut at the time, so whenever I visited Cast Connections or some other cast member area, I had people either trying to recruit me to play Tinkerbell or had folks constantly confusing me with her actor!

I wish there wasn't so many requirements when it comes to height. I'm 5'9'' and I'm too short to perform as Goofy or Clarabelle but too tall to perform as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. It sucks.
As someone who auditioned sooooo many times as a younger fitter person, I agree. I was “dead height” and could only do a tall chipmunk (unlikely) or Smee. I was too curvy to be a princess even at my lowest weight. So I said goodbye to that dream….but only until I retire from teaching and audition for the fairy godmother!
Speaking of flying Tink, have you ever heard the story of the Disneyland New Years baby? In which they pushed a smaller man dressed as a baby (who was afraid of heights), kicking and screaming across Tink’s cable
I know this wasn’t the point of the video, but I didn’t know about Antman’s little Bug’s Land! That’s so freaking cute. Makes my heart happy.

@@njnjhjh8918 What do you mean? It’s WAY more expensive with kids. It depends on the kid but in general it’s a lot more fun to go without a kid.

I’m pretty sure it’s the ants because as we know from the Ant-man movies. Ants are smart enough to operate machinery so it’s a literally ants who are the main protagonist of a bugs life hanging out in the shrunken version of bugs land yeah😂😂😂😂

I don't believe the walking groot was ever meant for the guardians ride, since concept art showed adult groot (although he was supposed to be in animatronic form, which was cut because you know why). Probably for something else in the future, like Hulk or Spider-Man
Did you hear the story of the cast member that was Dumbo during a parade? He ended up getting a heatstroke and literally vomited THROUGH THE COSTUME!!!!

Y'know, the animatronic technology they're using for that one Groot has potential. Maybe when it's perfected, they could use it for meet and greets involving characters that you can't do as a "walkaround" because they're either too small (granted, most of those characters already have costumes anyway) or walk around on four legs (Bagheera, most of the "Lion King" characters, Lady and the Tramp, etc.).

Another tiny character that comes to mind is Sponge Bob even though he isn't Disney.
That's clever that they made it canon that Pym shrunk down a Bugs Land and replaced it with Avengers Campus.

An overlooked favorite of mine: Wendy! I'm sure Peter Pan is still just a normal height, but I remember always seeing Wendy and being shocked by how short she is. The casting is spot on, having a very small adult to portray a child character.
Wendy and Alice and tinker bell are all the same height I believe. 😊
Over the years there have been some very small Ewoks at the Disney/MGM Studio. One was the tiniest person I’ve ever seen!
After looking it up, apparently the tiny Bug's Land in Hank's terrarium is actually full of his ants and not shrunken guests and cast members. Thank god.

The wee Remy anamatronic was also in Cafe Mickey at Disneyland Paris when the Ratatouille movie came out, my friend was there at the time and got a video of it. He was oddly adorable and I want him back.
I used to know someone who did Disney Run costumes and one time made a BB-8 ball. It was just big enough to go from her shoulders down to her waist but it did mean her arms were inside. She said while yes, falling in it would have been bad, arms in were better for her running than if she tried to make arm holes and have them out at weird angles and would have been very uncomfortable.

It’s one of those pictures most cast members have seen and it was insane not to mention, when I worked at Wdw it was only short Asian men who played her while flying. Now everyone can zoom in on their smart phones so I think technology forced Disney to make a better costume
