Ya know, the handler “voice of the character” interpreter is a pretty good gimmick in this case. Also I can imagine all the cast members getting together backstage in their cooldown room telling stories of the man consuming their confectionery brethren.
As someone who used to work there, I can guarantee that they all laugh about it if it happened to them xD

It makes sense that Jolly Rancher is the tallest/oldest level at the park. Considering when you get older you start to lose your teeth, and that's also what Jolly Ranchers do!

@@Baldjotarokujo I think what they mean to say is that Jolly Ranchers make you lose your teeth (either bc of the sugary content or because it's a harder candy.) Either that, or they're implying that the elderly enjoy Jolly Ranchers because the candy melts in your mouth and people with a significant loss of teeth like to suck on them. Not sure which they're trying to say...

I also live local to hersheypark. I've never been to disney or universal or anything and yet I still love theme park content on youtube. To see my weird, strange yet fascinating home park get the same kind of love from you that's given to the parks previously mentioned makes me very happy.
I go to Disney and universal but Hershey park is also local and I’m a passholder. I think Hershey is so great and it has a lot of good rides and theming! I think it’s lucky to have this park near me!
Same here, except I have been to Disney and Universal. But Hershey is my one of my favorite theme parks to go to, I love the rides. Whenever we see Disney on Ice, we always go to it at the arena in Hershey :)
This whole Hershey adventure has been gold.
I find it fascinating that the cohorts have microphones, that really ensures that people can't help but hear them over the din.
Lol I didn't even knew that existed but it's strangely cool. I love the character designs, they're all destict but still have a uniform style.
Also I now wish there was a fast food theme Park so we could see another Meet and Eat.

The Jolly Rancher mystery deepens, looking at the website, his picture isn't even of his costume character. It's a statue seemingly somewhat of an in-between of the two costumes seen in the video (non-shiny glasses, headphones over the ears, long-sleeved shirt and vest outfit). So that begs the question, why is he the only one whose actual costume is not pictured? And furthermore, which one should guests expect to see more often?

I just wanna say as someone who grew up in central PA, I really appreciate Hershey coverage. I went there every summer growing up, and I feel like it often gets overlooked

I am living vicariously through you in this video, Dan. I haven't been to Hersheypark in over 7 years! Skyrush is my favorite ride! The character costumes (and team member costumes) don't look half-bad either! It hurt my soul when you ate your KitKat that way.
I recently went down a Hersheypark rabbit hole after reminiscing on my visit in the early 2000s, seeing how the character designs have changed and what attractions are defunct like the 3-D theater show. Hershey used to look a little more kid-like, he had a backwards ball cap on and his wrapper clothes look like a hoodie - much more of an eight-year-old persona than the one today that looks more like an adult. This is awesome!

I love the energy of these characters’ performances. Miss Kiss, as a costume, hasn’t got much to work with, and she still sold it. Kudos to them.
Funnily enough, I went to Hershey Chocolate World today, and I met Ice Breaker when I was there! Apparently he just came back from vacation.

Hi Disney Dan! I’m a longtime fan and I can’t begin to tell you how much joy it brings me to see you delve into Hersheypark content! Hershey was my childhood park growing up and I was OBSESSED. I knew every fact about every ride and met every character on my 6th birthday back when Chocolate World had the Chocolate Town Cafe! I had season passes every year growing up and when I come home to visit family, a trip to Hershey is always a must! I am so looking forward to your content featuring Hersheypark and if you need another Hershey enthusiast on the show, I’d love to contribute anything I can!

Dan, I just want you to know that one time when I was like eight, I went to Culver's with my family and they had Scoopie, the custard mascot, out walking around and I did this exact same thing. I looked him square in the eye and ate my custard in front of him. He hung his head down low and walked dramatically away and I felt so bad and went and gave him a hug lmao.

Twizzlers are my favorite candy (I was eating them as I watched this) so I wouldn't have the same issue with meeting Miss Twizz. That said, the "sleep paralysis demon" joke almost broke me. Hilarious!

First of all finally some really good footage of the characters on RUclips. Second, my experience with any of the characters was limited because the Hershey Bar was going in. He was nice enough for me to take a picture of him though, so we didn't get snubbed. We only did Chocolate World, but drove AROUND the park, so you saw all the coasters and such which was awesome. Hersheypark is slowly but surely becoming a destination park with more than just the park, and I think that's awesome.

This is awesome! Hersheypark is my happy place. Been there almost 30 times this year. I love when Chocolate World has the King size Reese's eggs, pumpkins and trees at the registers for $1.00. I buy them by the box (24 but make sure to ask them to ring them up as 24 individual bars to get your pass discount.) Then I spread the ❤️. I've given them to employees at McDonald's, Sheetz, neighbors, random customers in McDonald's and Sheetz, mail person, etc. I go through several boxes per session and love the expression when I give one to a random person. Did you know Chocolate World offers a bag check service? They will hold your purchases and give you a claim ticket. Just be sure to pick it up before they close for the day.

I’ve been to Hershey so many times since 2011/12 and I have meet so many characters from Hershey To Symphony bar. Fact about Hersheypark they are adding stuff almost every year. This year some of the news things were Jolly rancher remix and The new Halloween scare zones. This is all I can remember for now I have a lot of Hershey memories
My dad used to work there but now we live somewhere else. This video brings back lots of nostalgia for me.

As a person who lives like 45 minutes from Hersheypark and therefore visits on a regular basis, this video made me laugh even more than anticipated. I don't think I've seen a person so exited to meet the anthropomorphized candy bars in about 2 decades. 🤣🤣 Once, I think it was in 6th grade early summer 2003, my grandfather, best friend and I made it our mission to ride every coaster in the park (at that time) and somehow managed.
Oh gosh, I'm so looking forward to the Hershey content! I go there pretty often myself living only an hour or so away. Never saw the other characters that are listed on the website tho.
