0:38 I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE NAME OF THIS GAME FOR YEARS!!!!! Thank you!!
4:13 all I could remember is when you get knocked down the guy says “is that all?” I grew up playing the funny lil game
"Mmm, he is not bad" Or something like that i remember too.
Thank you for this! Very informative! :)
great show....it helped me a lott
16 bit wars was a fun era.
The 90s were the best and most important time for fighting games, in the arcades and at home as well. And not just for nostalgic reasons, the best (and still used) ideas came out in the 16bit aera. 2D FTGs are much better playable than 3D FTGs imo.
amazing list, snes have more fighting games but nothing beat Fatal Fury 2, Street Fighter 2 plus champion edition and Yuyu Hakusho on sega genesis.
The Super Famicom had the better fighters than the Mega Drive and PC Engine did imo.
SNES has two decent World Heroes games (the Genesis version of WH is a desaster), two very playable Fighters History titles, Fatal Fury Special, SF Alpha 2, Killer Instinct and the other top tier FTGs, like 3 SF2 titles and the Mortal Kombat series (but MK1 sucks).
@@inceptional You misread him, he was talking about fighters on the Genesis. The ones he named were really the only good ones on Genesis besides Samurai Shodown & the Mortal Kombat trilogy. Eternal Champions CD is good but the original has really f'd up controls.

Well, many games, but you can count the good ones on two hands: The Streetfighter 2 games, four MKs, Fatal Fury 2, Samurai Shodown, Power Instinct and Weaponlord - but the rest is not really worth to play imo.
You forgot Yu Yu Hakusho which let you fight against 4 players at a time, but yeah that's about it. Fighting games are what made SNES win the 16bit wars when I was a kid, although the irony is that SF2 Champ & the MKs played much smoother on Genesis. SNES had a great TMNT Tournament Fighters while the genesis gets one that plays like crap and SNES gets exclusives like Battle Master that are better than most of genesis's fighter exclusives.
@@HereticHydra yes, I agree with SF 2 SCE, but MK2 is better on SNES. There are also some other good fighting games on SNES, like Killer Instinct, the two Fighters History games, and World Heroes 1 and 2 (WH1 exists on Genesis as well, but it's a desaster), and Alpha 2 f.e. When it comes to FTGs and RPGs, the SNES was the better choice. If you liked sports games and shmups, you better played Genesis. And decent platformers and puzzle games existed for both systems.
nice video
Mk 1,2,3 was the best fighting games from genesis
Everyone that's not a Street Fighter fan will agree
All SF & MK , all SNK/Neo Geo games, Enternal Champions games got to be the Best.. Slaughter Sport, Rise of the Robots , Shaq Fu Worst ... Brutal I wanted to like that game but the difficult gameplay.. too bad someone doesn't rom hack the game put in better controls..
So, this has helped adjust my perspective a bit re: fighting games on the Mega Drive. Interestingly, watching this (unless it was a Capcom game, SNK/NeoGeo game or Mortal Kombat) it turns out that Rise of the Robots and Shaq Fu actually look decent compared to the rest of the titles available in this category! 😂
Dragon Ball Z: Buu Yuu Retsuden, Yu Yu Hakusho: Makyo Toitsusen, and Eternal Champions are all great
@Why The Hell Was I In Star Trek 6? You're wrong
@Why The Hell Was I In Star Trek 6? There's no reward for continuing to be misinformed
You forgot power Rangers: the movie (1995)
The evander holifield boxing its wrong, thats the Greatests heaviweights. The best boxing game in genesis
No game, in which one of tre hero Vandal (from Russia) - blue body, in Russia fights at the or near the train, woman from France fight circus or like place of circus
I fill as if there is a game missing
Not all fighting games in the list... Im trying to find one game but cant see this one in the fighting game lists, cant remember name but graphics been similiar to Samurai Shodown, and its been hardest game with hardest button combos on sega.
You're not thinking of Weaponlord are you?
Game Faforit Me Ultraman Sega Genesis
4:23 and 4:33
What the name of 8:45’s game?
Weapon Lord
The SNES, PSX and Saturn did better than what the Genesis and TurboGrafx-16 had for fighters.
The sega mega drive although it will not have a great fighting catalog in comparison has its gems and interesting games.
Faz de PSX por favor.
PSx please!
Missed fatalfury special
that only for the snes!
