after all this years i finally found the name of the game i used to watch my father play all the time when i was 6-7 years old, SD F-1 Grand Prix, no wonder i never found it, it is a japan only, man i can't even describe how happy i am, this brings so many memories, thank you
Thanks to this video, i FINALLY found the racing game I used to play as a very little kid. Turned out to be Nigel Mansellis World Championship!! I could tell instantly.
Uniracers!!! One of the best 2 player racing games ever, it holds up to this day! Most people don't know about it because Pixar made a short 3d film about a red unicycle and sued the game developer forcing them to stop selling it and remove every copy from stores! Good thing it's still around via emulation. Try this game if you have never played it, it's so much fun!
0:23 lmao at guy on left in a boat on the water fishing. the background designer just decided to randomly add a fishing guy sprite? he also moves his head. hilarious.
Taz-Mania was definitely released in Europe, and Mario Kart came out in Europe in 1992 as well. Just some idiot on Wikipedia who made up a release date messed up everyone's info.
I came here looking for one specific game I had as a kid. It was F-Zero. Soon as I heard it and saw it i knew that was the one. Very unique but simple.
SNES was the place to be for racing games in the early 90s. Mode 7 was such a game changer, since it allowed for a real sense of speed and real-time movement around the corners. For many of us it was the in-between step to real 3D. Sadly, there were many bad racing games in SNES, too, which weren't planned and executed very well. Nevertheless, the ones that made it to the top really were mind bending.
Some games there actually have astonishing graphics for that time. My favorite SNES racing game was and still is Top Gear 3000. I would spend hours having fun with it and I still play it sometimes nowadays. Besides Top Gear 3000 my second and third would be Mario Kart and Super Off Road Baja respectively.
I pretty much only play racing games, guess the snes just isn't for me, but thanks for the great video, this is really helpful for figuring out if I want a specific system for games I play.
Does anyone of you remember an SNES racing game, kinda like Top Gear... but this game has this particular thing that, when you're _racing_ the environment changes like... it'll suddenly start to rain, or snow would fall or it could even display a sunset or nightfall if you where racing a huge road. I remember you could choose different colored cars... I played it around 1995 or 1996 when I was 4 years old, so that's the only things I remember about it.
Absolutely right. Most Genesis racing games felt outdated after the SNES came up with Mode 7. Mode 7 made it possible to have real movement and real speed on the track. heck, you could even turn around and race the wrong way. it felt like a quantum leap. Not saying there were no good Genesis racing games, but none of them had SNES quality. Specially not Sega's home ports of Super Scaler Arcade games, they were very disappointing because they lacked fluid scaling.
ATTENTION EVERYONE BIKE DAISUKI HAVE ITEMS IT'S JUST GO ON THE PIT STOP AND YOU WILL GET AN ITEM I DON'T KNOW HOW EACH ITEM WORK BUT THEY EXIST SOME OF THE FRONT BUTTONS ACTIVATE THEM
Hi KThxsBy, we're glad you liked our channel. The Hashire Hebereke and Waku Waku Ski Wonder will enter on the "Sports Miscellaneous" genre. We'll publish this video soon.
Genesis had bad racing games except for a few like outrun or super hang to name a few of them, there is something about mode 7 with racing games on snes, it just works
mode 7 is ugly.. check how the genesis CAN HANDLE 3d polygons racing games look...with out a SNES shitty FX CHIP.. Kawasaki Superbike Challenge - Sega Mega Drive ruclips.net/video/5Gji1xHgB4w/видео.html F1 (Mega Drive) ruclips.net/video/h-zDjtKrRx4/видео.html
Let's not kid ourselves. Both the snes and Genesis/Mega drive had lots of bad racing games. Most racing games from the 8 and 16 bit era haven't ages very well.
Seus vídeos são top sempre q posso vejo eles muito bom mesmo parabens só falo uma coisa de todos os jogos q apareceram neste vídeo q vc fez de corrida top gear 1 é o melhor kkkk minha opinião abraços like já no video
I remember going to my friends an d got to play road rash on the genesis. I loved it but only had the SNES. I tried desperately to find something similar and got suzuka 8 hours. Let's just say I was a little disappointed...
amazing how there are only maybe 5 racing games that are very good, whereas the N64 had a plethora of excellent racing games... but the opposite is the case of RPGs
Not really, the Snes has many great racing games, however has many bad ones too so you have to see which ones are worthy first and sadly many good ones never left Japan, fortunately most of them can be played without knowing japanese.
Same here unfortunately. I remember it was a twisted-metal type game I used to play quite a lot with my mates back in the 90s. Thought it was Street Racer when I saw it but now I‘m certain it’s not.
Mode 7 racing games look terrible, like a kid with a toy car pushing it on one of those plastic mats with roads drawn on it. NONE of these games come close to OutRun arcade graphics engine OR Amiga 1000 from 1985 running Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 fullscreen at zero frame drops with arcade levels of roadside objects. Super Off-road The Baja is the only interesting looking one of the lot unless you have no taste in retro racing games.
The snes was garbage for racers, with exception of top gear, fzero and mario kart, the megadrive was much more capable yet the megadrive didn't do much better Snes - best Top gear 2 Mario kart Rock n roll racing Nigel Mansell F-zero Megadrive - best Roadrash 2 Micro machines 2 Test drive 2 F1 challenge Super Monaco gp Virtua racing
In the racing division I think Sega had better games. Here it looks like most of the games are just Mario Kart or F-Zero reskinned. I believe there is more depth in the graphics on the Sega Genesis for this type of game.
after all this years i finally found the name of the game i used to watch my father play all the time when i was 6-7 years old, SD F-1 Grand Prix, no wonder i never found it, it is a japan only, man i can't even describe how happy i am, this brings so many memories, thank you
Top Gear 1 and 2 are some of the best SNES racing games ever made , along with F-Zero and Super Mario Kart.
Especially TOP GEAR 2 I spent multiple hours on that game!
Rock and Roll Racing
Top Gear has more than a passing resemblance to Outrun
Top gear 3000 the best for me
Been looking for the name of the first one used to play that as kid
Thanks to this video, i FINALLY found the racing game I used to play as a very little kid. Turned out to be Nigel Mansellis World Championship!! I could tell instantly.
Gran Turismo snes 😵 4:33
So many 'Mode 7' games I didn't know existed.
1:33 Dirt Trax Fx was such a Legendary game for me. I miss the time
Top Gear 2 is probably my favorite. I liked the first one too but I think I remember it was always forced split screen even when playing solo.
Uniracers!!! One of the best 2 player racing games ever, it holds up to this day! Oahu Pc I picked up a good repro cart from ebay of UniRacers and you're right, it's tons of fun. Another great one is Rock'n'Roll Racing.
0:23 lmao at guy on left in a boat on the water fishing. the background designer just decided to randomly add a fishing guy sprite? he also moves his head. hilarious.
Lol the bikes sound like they have the running farts too
Taz-Mania was definitely released in Europe, and Mario Kart came out in Europe in 1992 as well. Just some idiot on Wikipedia who made up a release date messed up everyone's info.
hmmm, good eye. i didn't think anyone would notice my litle prank jajajajaja
4:35 gran turismo on the snes!!!
I came here looking for one specific game I had as a kid. It was F-Zero. Soon as I heard it and saw it i knew that was the one. Very unique but simple.
The different engine sounds was just spectacular.
13:54 yes! Uniracers on SNES was my all time fav. Wish someone re-release this game on modern consoles
topgear 1-2, nigel mansell f1 and maybe fzero and mariokart....

Top Gear series is the best on the SNES!
Still play to this day, never gets boring.
Top Gear, F-Zero, Mario Kart and Rock'roll Racing are the best ones.
RoC 2 also great because it's F-Zero but bigger (upgrade system, 2 classes, realistic vehicles, etc).
Mario cart and f zero look like shit though
@@HeNnEsSy_HiCcUpS "cart"? Oh.. Stupid kids
@@Zanollo5 I'm 32 and own a super nt
@@HeNnEsSy_HiCcUpS 32 and still don't know the difference between cart and kart? Omg
gracias por compartir , hay algunos juegos muy interesantes que nunca llegué a jugar 😄
I pretty much only play racing games, guess the snes just isn't for me, but thanks for the great video, this is really helpful for figuring out if I want a specific system for games I play.
Test drive 2 and top gear games.. man oh man.. and road rash. Those games will always be the best
Top Gear 1, Top Gear 2, Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing, GP1 Part 2 , Suzuka 8 hours 🏆😎

Top Gear 2?
I remember this game too and renting it a lot. It had to be for SNES but none of these shown bring up that memory
Lamborghini american challenge?
I remember this too but I can't find it anywhere!
Street Racer look quite impressive both technically and visually. :)
I was looking for stunt race, thanks!

My fav Rock and Roll racing! Bad to the bone! 😎🤘🏻
The mode 7 technology allowed the racing genre on snes flourish
Thanks for video ilove snes good era
Wow, even the "bad" ones are light-years ahead the Sega Genesis racing games.
How? The Genesis has some amazing racing games like Outrun, Virtua Racing, the Road Rash games or Micro Machines 1 and 2, just to name a few.
Absolutely right. Most Genesis racing games felt outdated after the SNES came up with Mode 7. I used to own F-Zero back in 95-97 as well as killer instinct lol. Good times
Zero 4 Champ is the only game i played that have clutch button to switch gears. Great game, is like a life simulator
Thank you; good play.
Yeah, Super NES had a lot of fun racing games. But you can't beat F-Zero, Super Mario Kart, and the Top Gear trilogy.
btw, I think you missed one. Sugoi Hebereke (or one of the Hebereke games). it was basically a run around the track type of racer.
90’s America in a bombshell, loved F1 racing, couldn’t care less about JDM sport cars
Super Mario Kat, Unirally and Top Gear 2, the best. And Power Rangers Zeo Battle was also available in the EU.
thank you
These videos are so helpful! Only thing is, are my eyes deceiving me, or is there no Shutoku Battle 2 in this video?

Hey Radioactive Man, I really missed WakuWaku Ski Wonder Spur, but the Battle Racers is here 00:43
Genesis had bad racing games except for a few like outrun or super hang to name a few of them, there is something about mode 7 with racing games on snes, it just works
... and makes games look way too similar and ugly (blocky and flat).

Taz-mania was released in europe
Good video
*drift king is the best one*
Love the 2d sprites in 3d environments
wow it seems like the US missed out on a lot of bike games from Japan
And instead we got Crappadale Cup.
looks like the snes was the "f1-console". im sorry i meant human grand prix
Test drive the duel was in EU also
I enjoyed Lamborghini Challenge back and Kyle Petty's in the day..Most of these games look bad...but will give Top Gear a go
I found the one I was looking for! ESPN Speed World, I can't believe I finally know its name
Funny how the SFC had scaling hardware, but wasn't suited the 'super scaler' thing.
So much Formula one O_O
I was surprised too !
I'm not surprised

TOP GEAR 4 LYFE
Anyone know a game where you button mash to run faster against I think was a ai bot? One of my childhood games
Tan bueno fue top gear que no se ha hecho un juego con esa calidad en la nueva etapa indie, me refiero al factor diversión! 🚗
I remember going to my friends an d got to play road rash on the genesis. I loved it but only had the SNES. I tried desperately to find something similar and got suzuka 8 hours. Let's just say I was a little disappointed...
Top gear 1 and 3000 are the best top gear 2 was hard, mario kart and f zero
Damn, some of them are really awful but the ones who got it right are still enjoyable today!
Mode 7 Its the most Racing Gerne at all
Top Gear 1 que juego increíble banda sonora.
Damn I remember Top Gear
amazing how there are only maybe 5 racing games that are very good, whereas the N64 had a plethora of excellent racing games... but the opposite is the case of RPGs
Snes wasn't a nice place to race. Few good games on the library.
Many Formula 1 games but yeah most of them handled better on the Genesis. However, outside of F1 the Genesis doesn't have anything as cool as F-ZERO.

excellent presentation!!! i have to tell european games was the most disadvantage at graphics and gameplay .not all but generally

Fuck! F-Zero doesn't looks so good compared with much other games 😂😂😂
F-Zero is so overrated.
