For us french canadians, GSP is a very very very kind and respectful guys, he's always there to help people from his community in such a humble way. He's very loved and appreciated not only as a fighter but as a human being here in Quebec.
Amazing how openly he talks about these things. I wonder if anxiety is part of it. OCD and anxiety are surely related, overly trying to control the things when something (bigger) is making you anxious. Either way what a great personality
I am grateful for GSP's perspective. His combat sports career has given him a set of intense and unique experiences, and he is apparently intelligent, self aware and communicates very well. We get to enjoy a great insight into life from him.
I suffer from the condition myself. Very debilitating, but also the most treatable mental condition out there. If you know how to approach ocd, the volume can be turned way down. You'll discover that a "ocd" brain, that is not wrecked with fear, is quite intelligent and conscientious. I think you need these two traits to become succesful at anything you do
I’m retiring from Army in 3 years, was very successful at it…I am struggling like hell trying to change some of the things that I had to do in the Army that made me successful. That won’t work in the civilian sector and it’s so hard…
I like st Pierre very much I never met him personally but I have many friends in Canada who are close to him,and they all say he is a very good person as much he is a good atlete, when I meet him I will ask her explain his therapeutic fasting diet he practice with Dr Fong from Toronto very intersting
Not accomplishing the challenge he set for himself (holding his breath) is perceived by him as a failure, and in letting the younger man hold the door for him he accepts being in greater need and presents himself as weaker. It is the ego and the same thing that is often responsible for creating great athlete's, that innate fear of losing.
Holy crap. That breath good story was shocking, cause I do the same stupid shit. I'm 34, living a good, rather successful life, and still can't get rid of that :(
I don't like how pbd has a common journalist question in mind & keeps dancing around it so it seems like they're having a conversation rather than an interview
This was some excellent insight into the mind of a champion Now I understand all the Michael Jordan , Larry bird or Ali stories. You really have to have an obsessive mind frame
It's about the quest of trying to be perfect. Because if you are not perfect maybe you are not accepted or lovable, etc... all deep-rooted to childhood
I appreciate ur channel so much but I wonder why haven’t you talked about how manipulated the stock market is n why are GME & AMC stock holders being cheated by hedge funds/ market makers
I’m holding AMC and GME. Been holding for a year and I felt like I was late to the party. The fact that it still hasn’t squeezed is a joke. But as long as we keep holding, we’re winning.
GSP, YOU’RE DEFINITELY NOT ALONE WITH FEELING THE WAY THAT YOU FEEL AFTER RETIREMENT. Just ask The GOAT, AIR JORDAN. 😎 Also, maybe you should try taking up Golf. Golf could possibly help deal with your feelings or competitive urges in a healthy manner. 🤔🤔🤔
"I'm not impressed by your performance"
GSP's inner voice everyday
Turns out Matt Hughes was/is a trash human being too.
🤣🤣🤣
The stand off with the 8 year old is hilarious lol
GSP gives off great vibes with his sincerity…seems so genuine.
Love gsp. Great talk. He is just so intriguing

Ocd is an anxiety disorder it's a sub type

GSP went DJ Khaled for a second there.
Real OCD can be life altering and incredibly painful and stressful. Washing your hands 100 times a day, not stepping on cracks on the road.

No man it’s OCD.
Very introspective! Seem like a good guy!👍🏾
That 8-year-old from the story was almost certainly named Matt.
Holding your breath is definitely OCD
Very insightful and makes me so grateful I’m mediocre at most things in life. And very happy.
Bring Firas Zahabi in , he will talk about very very insightful stuff
There’s always an opportunity cost with each decision
Damn, I do that hold the breath thing too 😂

GSP
Becoming a mere mortal will take the rest of his life to accomplish
If you ask a question just let the guy answer it please.
