- Well that didn’t go to plan! I was hoping for a great night’s rest before my flight to Bali from London and after a very promising start at the Holiday Inn Express London Heathrow Terminal 4, an issue with the hotel’s systems led to multiple fire alarms and 2 evacuations! Here’s the low down on the hotel’s location, arrival, room tour, bars, food and the dreaded night time interruptions and evacuations!

Good things can sometimes come from bad. I watched this video because the hotel is considered a "liminal space", I was not expecting the alarm situation. Made it even more interesting! 😆
It definitely didn’t feel interesting when trying to sleep ahead of an 18 hour flight 😂

Oh wow! Thanks for another great video, Jamie - that's not the experience you want the night before a 19+ hour flight! We had one evacuation the night before our flight to Orlando last year and that we bad enough, but 4 alarms?! Hopefully some lessons have been learned!
Other than that it looks like a good hotel!

A few H&S issues I think. I couldn’t get over queuing down a fire escape staircase. That was crazy. On a lighter note you rocked the category of……a night of a thousand Kylies 😂. The Bali trip looks amazing too.

Drama!!!! It looks a lovely room but I swear to god someone would have died by that 2nd alarm. (Front desk person probably!). You worked the foil sheet though. Have fun in Bali 🍻

Hmmm try the premier inn just next door much cheaper and a lovely hotel and they have the good nights sleep guarantee 😀

Yikes, not at all what you need the night before a long flight! We are booked to stay in Crowne Plaza side of this hotel this September, before our flight to Miami 😮
I do think it’s a good hotel and up until those alarms it was a nice stay lol
I was horrified to see all those people on the stairs - why on earth were they not moving??? Could it have been a sneaky smoker setting off the alarm?? Ummm!
I don’t know why they weren’t moving either!!
They certainly now how to charge for food 🤗🤣

Very modern, clean room. Shame about the fire alarm, but it's not the hotels fault that people are smoking.
But it is their fault that the staff didn’t know how to handle an evacuation

Truly shocking to see how poor the hotel fire safety measures are.
I've now cancelled my April booking.... based on this. Premier Inn here I come.

Hello sir, I'm having a 19 hour LHR connection flights both at T5. I reserved at this HIX T4. Do you recommend switching terminal first then go through passport point?

Why would one pay for a hoppa. It's free to move between terminals on the tube/ Elizabeth line. Particularly when it'he station is 3min walk from the hotel.
Because some people won’t want to carry their luggage with them
Hopefully you will get some sort of compensation for that horrible night of alarms.

Did you get a refund from this place? I'm sorry but being woken up 3 times by fire alarms is taking the piss! Hope u were able to recover from having interrupted sleep for your flight. Looking forward to your Bali videos 🎉😊

@@TravelBlogJamiethere’s a very popular liminal space image located on this hotel. It’s also a backrooms level which is a creepy-pasta or fictional horror place. 9:20 is what the image looks like expect dull with no lights and uncanny.

Disgraceful - hotel owners IHG have been on my permanent boycott list for the last two years following their disgusting treatment of staff and locals (members of their Holiday Inn leisure club, wedding bookers etc) when they took the Home Office 30 pieces of Home Office silver nearly 2 years ago.
