Lincoln, you have quite the wardrobe; I've never seen a Buddy Christ jersey before. This is the second Kevin Smith themed jersey I've seen you wear; Clerks was the first. Great channel with great content! I never thought that I would be watching board game videos in my free time, but here we are. I've discovered many games and how to play them thanks to you and your awesome crew. Keep it up!
Anyone who knows us knows that we should have lost is NOT bad news! We always kinda hope we'll lose the first play of any co-op, so the fact that we screwed up and didn't win makes me very happy :) Though, of course, I wish we hadn't messed up.
The Pandemic system reworked into Star Wars planetary invasions mechanics themed around the by far most interesting Star Wars era? This is a must buy for me. Thanks for the fun play-through.
Nice one. I love both pandemic and SW franchise so iwas enjoyed by this one. One rule points it seems that the same way you can use assault and stealth to help other jedi attacks during their turns, you can also use armor outside of your turn (for you or another jedi on same planet), this make the armor cards lot more usefull ! Another point: Windu cannot move droids from a planet with a Blockade (right from faq in rulebook ^^) Already waiting for next game ! Thank you all
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you guys technically should have lost. 😢 Each time a blockade is placed, the threat track is moved up. At 1:08:40, a blockade was placed and threat should have been placed on 5. Then at 1:20:31 another blockade was placed and threat should have went to 6. Finally at 1:23:30 when another blockade was placed, the threat would have been maxed and thus ended the game. However you guys made the game a little more difficult than it needed to be. Page 4 of the rulebook states that there are 3 types of enemies: Battle droids, blockades, and villains. Page 6 specifically states, in bold print, that you cannot attempt a mission on a planet with a blockade or villain. It never mentions droids so they do not prevent you from attempting a mission. I did enjoy the playthrough though! 😉🤣👍
Hello! I really liked this video. I'm pretty sure you cannot pull out droids from a blockade. At least in my language on page 11 it writes under Mace Windu. Once the Finale setup is initiated, te villain does not prevent mission actions. Droids don't do it anyway. Ventress doesn't have a health value in the Finale step. You cannot get rid of her and you don't move the Threat either when she's on a mission planet, because it was on the other side of her card. Yeah, as others have pointed it out, it should have been a loss, because there were at least 3 times when you couldn't add a droid and you didn't move the Threat marker, but the main point is that you enjoyed your time and I enjoyed watching you. :)
Know enough about Star Wars to understand the thumbnail and that's hilarious, but not too familiar with the franchise otherwise and will just enjoy watching you all play the game.
In the first part around 1 minutes 30 the overlay of the names has Dave under Nikki and Nikki under Dave. This is obviously a variant on Pandemic but it will prove interesting to watch
Dang, I somehow missed that. We have new files for these and the names are slightly different. Thanks for pointing that out. This was a fun version of the system for sure. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln
One thing I haven't seen pointed out is that you did not need to defeat Ventress to do the last mission. Her card was turned over and she became the last mission.
Very fitting that Ventress began the game on Christophsis, given that her first appearance in the canon (technically the 2008 movie) was on Christophsis.
Another mistake, at 1:25:15, Lincoln does an attack and uses purple AND red cards. It was only one attack, if it was 2 separate attacks, Lincoln should have taken damage from the remaining droids
Great to see this playthrough from this game. I have good and bad news. I will start with the bad news, you all guys lost the game. You forgot to increase the threat with every "outbreak" when you placed the blockade. The good news is that you can exhaust your player cards also on other players turns. Like defending or flying (other Jedi) on your planet. You can also complete a mission when only droids are left on the mission planet. The manual says no blockade or villain. ❤ Your channel!
Hey Lincoln, I'm aware you are trying out your new 4K camera. I've noticed some of the focusing (top down) fluctuating. This was whilst watching in 1080p so could be different if viewed from a 4k capable device.
Yeah, pretty sure at least three turns you didn't do an invasion. Coupled with the comments that you didn't do the blockades correctly, you REALLY lost. But I think you could have won with only three missions, barely. You would have been more on the ball taking out droids, I think, so that would be the major difference.
Matt Leacock... came up with one good game mechanic and then just opted it into every game he ever made after. Worst game designer EVER. He is literally still selling his first game idea, and no one has the guts to call him on it.
Weird to complain about Leacock constantly remaking Lunatix Loop on a video for a game design by Alexandar Ortloff... I mean, Lunatix Loop looks pretty mediocre so I get it, but I also really don't see how it's similar to his first real success Roll Through the Ages...
It's a solid system or mechanism and I think it works fairly well in this game. It's ironic as I prefer Pandemic The Cure the one that uses lots of little dice which basically ditches part of the mechanism and makes it harder to "game"

Try it with Dooku. He brings in Ventress and Grievous as Allies and it makes a very fun challenge! :)
It was a fun watch!

43:59 was the first time they missed this
I wasn't expecting Pandemic in a Star Wars game, but the mechanics work well for invading armies too.
Who else was screaming at the screen every time Lincoln kept exhausting and un-exhausting the cards on his turn at mark 59:10? hahahahah

Missions are episodes of the show, and the cards needed to accomplish the mission are units that showed up in that episode of Clone Wars.

Just got my copy on Saturday. Can’t wait to play!
Best thumbnail yet. Cannot wait to watch you play this!

The game is very thematic. Love when little things like this happen and make it even more so!
The lightsaber token to is to represent the "first" player in single player mode, where you play 2 jedi
May the 4th be with you!
12:40 you can attempt a mission if there's a droid.
Same at 19:00
49:19 They forgot to add two droids to the board

I hope you could play jerusalem by devir its awesome

I thought why this game is so easy. This is why )
This game needs expansions

Thanks for pointing it out. We saw this when editing it in 4K and we could do nothing about it at that point. Here's hoping we figure it out. -Lincoln
wow good eye. easy to think my youtube was switching resolution quality out of whim - which it does sometimes.

Please make a Warcraft video 👍
Gabby needs to work on her shuffling skills
