Thank you again for the time you put in to share your easy to follow, delicious and heartfelt recipes. I look forward to more! 🌻🤗

Delicious food for the season. Thank you for sharing recipe.
Most welcome 😊
I love alu ghobi too.
Must try your recipe which looks much easier.
I usually boil potatoes and cauliflower separately and stir fry together. This must be tastier.
I’m from Colombo in Sri Lanka.
Thank you Chetna. Love your recipes.
Hope you enjoy, yes this way the cauliflower and potatoes soak up the flavours while cooking
What can I say? Except that cauliflower is now on my shopping list......😃💯
YES
Looks delicious. One of my favourite dishes as well. I love to add garden peas to the dish. Thank you for another lovely recipe.
Love your channel just made this meal, loved it. Thanks
Very yummy looking 😋👍👌this is a simple and good recipe, thank you for sharing 🙏
Most welcome 😊
Hi Chetna, I think I followed your recipe way back during lockdown and really loved it. So much I was raving about it to family and friends, then the challenge, 'ok make it' I did and they loved it. Great to see you re-doing it now. Blessings.
Thanks Bryan
Yum!!! LOVE aloo gobi! ❤
Always looks so delicious what you cook
Thank you 😋
You made me smile today, Chetna, with your enthousiasm. I love gobi as much as you. 🥰
Yeah
Delicious. I will give it a go soon. Cauliflower is one of my favourites as well.
😋😍
It's so good!
Dear Chetna, thank you so much for your inspiration and your time and your wonderful recipes!. Instead of potato I used butternut squash and once more it turned out really nicely! I own all of your cookbooks and I'm becoming more and more of a fan of Indian cuisine with each recipe! Lots of love from Germany :-)
This makes me smile, thank you
Just wanted to say thank you.

I'm definitely going to try this. I love cauliflower as well. I may add some spinach

Amazing 🤩 love this veggie dish. One of my faves too. Look forward to you showing us how to use leftovers in a parantha 😍 making my mouth water 😂
Hiya Chetna! I discovered your channel a few months ago. My husband is from Telengana and we cook alot of Indian dishes. My adopted family is from Punjab. We are always look for recipes we both will love. And we love your aloo spinach curry! I cannot wait to make this gobi aloo curry, i think i could almost smell it while you were making it. Thank you for your recipes and inspiring us to try new things
Thanks so much Julie

I had been looking for a good gobhi alu recipe and this is it!
Hope you enjoy
Haha, making this tonight and saw your video! Your simple easy recipe sounds fabulous. 🙏👏👏
It's so good!
I’m definitely giving this a go! Thanks Chetna❤
yeah ruth
I've been waiting for this! Can't wait to make it for my family this week.
Hope you like it!
@Food with Chetna I bought amchur powder but only got the courage to use it the last time I made a chick pea & potato curry and my family said it was the best I'd ever made. I'm guessing if they liked my hobbled together recipe that they're going to love yours.
I *love* all different kinds of Indian food but being allergic to cilantro makes it hard to try it at restaurants. One of my goals this year is to try a new Indian dish at least once a month to teach myself how to make real, traditional recipes that we can all enjoy.
❤❤❤VeryDeliciousRecipe.ThanksChetna.🐘
enjoy
Aloha, Chetna! Thanks for this one. You introduced me to Amchur as an ingredient. Couldn’t find it in the shops, so I made my own from green mangoes from my own trees here in Hawaii 😊 Thank you!
I'm living in a village near Pinneberg, Germany. And our local asia market actually ordered it for me! (These guys are fantastic!)
I just finished cooking it and it’s so good, I’d love a version of this dish but with baingan (aubergine )added to make it even more delicious
Hope you enjoyed it
@@FoodwithChetna I did very much thank you
I love it ❤❤❤
Thanks
This Video was my first indian dish, your Video with jamie oliver my first i saw your recipes
Haha i love the dancing at the end !!
Hi Chetna I love cauliflower too it's one of my favourite vegetables as well but we don't have any at home at the moment, I will make sure cauliflower goes on our shopping list, the dish looks amazing and delicious, it's making my mouth watery lol 🙈😂 we do have amchoor powder at home I can sprinkler some of that on the top 😁 thank you so much for sharing this amazing recipe with my favorite vegetable 😋😁❤️🥰
That's great and hope you will enjoy it
@@FoodwithChetna thank you, I will definitely enjoy it once we brought cauliflower home 😁❤️
Hi Chetan, just a quick question. You added only few Tbs of water to it.. is that enough to cook up cauliflower and potatoes or should we add more water?
@@primrosemadz 3-4 tbsp is enough as this a dry dish and you dont want soggy cauliflower
Simple and delicious...simply delicious!!
Thanks a lot 😊
Still learning… thank you for the channel
Very welcome
I'm making chicken korma this evening but have all the ingredients for this lovely dish too so that's on the menu with some paratha as well tonight. Sounds greedy but that is also lunch and possibly sides for the next night. Thank you
Sounds great!
You're amazing and love this dish...thanks or sharing
You are welcome
Omg..I have all the ingredients!! FIrst time this has happened! lol Definitely making this tonight!!!
hope you enjoyed
I'm making it this week 🥰
Hope you enjoy
Hi Chetna! Lovely recipe as per usual on your channel! I'd like to make as I have all ingredients and love cauliflowers too. I don't have the fresh herbs you used though: could this affect too much the dish? here it's not easy to find them 😥 thanks a lot!
no, you can skip the fresh herbs
I love your channel and eaten most of your meals. The work never ends. So take a break.
Thanks
Beautiful lighting in this video ❤️
gorgeous day
Made this for dinner tonight and it was delicious even though I used less than a teaspoon of Kashmiri Mirch. My husband sprinkled more on his serving.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice 👍
My wife and I both loooooooooooooooovvvvvve alu gobhi, cant wait to try this recipe!!
Yeah! enjoy
@@FoodwithChetna I made it and it was amazing, will definitely be making again soon. Thanks!!
I love cauliflower too and this looks so inviting. We will be in Autumn soon, (Aussie who loves your channel), so I think this will be so comforting on those chilly days. Thanks again Chetna for your wonderful channel and creating these delicious and uncomplicated dishes for reluctant cooks like me to try. ❤️
I made a double batch of this (with a giant cauliflower!). I've been eating it all week and it gets better and better every day. Thank you for an easy to follow and delicious recipe. PS... It sorta reminded me of American Home Fry Potatoes. We eat home fries with tomato ketchup. Yours was super tasty with tamarind "ketchup" on it! 😉
MashAllah Zabardast 👌
Thanks
Hs there not an older video of yours with this recipe? Made it many times and it is lovely
Yes I mention that in the video too.
Dinner tonight
This looks great, Chetna. I have to give this one a go!
To be honest, you made me stop ignoring cauliflower 😅(it was the chickpea stew with Harissa-cauliflower as a topping). Indian and Indian-inspired cuisine is a great gateway for me to rediscover veggies my family just wasn’t able to prepare well. Pretty much all types of brassica veggies.
Though "a small knob of ginger" made me laugh out loud. In my culture that’d considered a very scary amount of ginger. Love to get a visualization, it’s really necessary 😂
So glad to hear that
Wow!! I'm cooking this!! Yum!!
Hi chetna
Omg..my fav is also cauliflower u can name any dish be it gobi ka paratha, gobi sambar, aloo gobi, gobi 65 ,gobi manchurian
Love the recipe .
Plz post many indo chinese recipes also.
Yes sure
Thanks che! It worked out amazingly beautiful! 2 days later and the family are still smacking there lips and begging for more🤣🤣I'll have to consider if I should give in to there request depending on how good the are!🤣 Keep posting such recipes as the are an invaluable asset to my housekeeping artillery 🤣🤣
Thanks so much Patrick

I loved this cauliflower recipe Each piece of the cauliflower has so much flavor…
thanks Chetna 😋
Yummy 🤤
thanks
This looks delicious I love cauliflower also. Can you tell me once you put lid on do you cook on a very low heat or medium?
It was absolutely delicious 🥰
Thanks Tony
Hi Chetna! About the your vast collection of cauliflower recipes: why not write a cookbook on cauliflower?? On my shelf, I have i.e. a book about apples and pears; a book about berries; a book about artichokes;...about asparagus; mushrooms; potatoes; pumpkins; zucchini and aubergines; herring..
I have so many recipes for chicken wings that my sister in law once joked: "you should write a cookbook just on chicken wings!" My answer was: "If I ever do that, I'd make it a trilogy. And call it "Lord of the wings." "
Greetings from the far north of Germany!
I do love cauliflower!
Bought everything and making this. Yum 😋
Hope you enjoy
@@FoodwithChetna I always enjoy your recipes
Made aloo gobhi with a twist today: had some zucchini to use up, and thus I subbed out some of the taters for the squash. I served it with chole my wife had made earlier in the day, brown basmati rice, and curd. It was great but still did not make up for the sting of Arsenal losing yesterday Merseyside.
glad you enjoyed it
My favorite sabji!!! Will try this recipe next time. I love you pan, where is it from?
pan video coming soon
didn't have cauliflower, so substituted it with Brussels sprouts and was divine. just needed a bit longer to cook. can't wait to make it again with a different veg next time. thank you Chetna x
Sounds great!
🍽️I’m ready, could you pass the plate 😂😘✅thank you… delicious 😋… do you mind if I finish it?
Of course!!
This looks so delicious!🙏
So good!
Any reason you use sunflower oil in your cooking? I mostly use Canola oil for Indian cooking and it works great!
Thats what I have grown up watching everyone use. I often mention to use whatever you like
This is great! I never learned to make aloo ghobi because I was too busy playing soccer.
Ahem, football 😁
One of my favourite movies
haha
How is it? That every recipe you post, I must try. You’re the best.
they are all winners
tasty
thanks
Hi Chetna, just a quick question. You added only few Tbs of water to it.. is that enough to cook up cauliflower and potatoes or should we add more water?
No need, 3-4 tbsp should be enough
Looks so easy and delicious! Could you please tell me more about the chili powder you use? I assume it's not the same as the chili powder used in Mexican or TexMex dishes. Is yours simply powdered and ground chilis? Or are there other spices added? Is it hot or mild?
Outside of North America, chilli powder (two L's) is always pure ground dried chillies.
Edit: chilli powder is normally hot, but if you prefer a milder chilli powder, use Kashmiri chilli powder
its just ground red chillies
I made a version of this a few days ago. The leftovers are in the fridge. My version needs more salt and white rice before I'm satisfied to eat the rest of it. Aloo Gobhi or Gobhi Alu?
Either really
Is it possible to use frozen cauliflower instead of fresh?
Chetna, the audio is clipping and sounds oddly muffled in this video. Other than that, can’t wait to make this next week!
enjoy cooking this
Hey Chetna. Just wondering could the same recipe be used with broccoli as my local is fresh out of cauliflower 🤔👉🙏
Yes, definitely
Your older version of this is a staple dish in my kitchen. I never made aloo gobi any other way. I know exactly what was different in the previous recipe u also added 2 green chillies with onions and there was no amchoor or chaat masala
Between you and Nisha from Rainbow Plant Life, and the guy from Spain on a Fork, I will never have to eat boring, bland, veg*n food ever again! And curries are so friendly to batch cooking, I don't have to worry about wasting food.
10-15 minutes would be good, mine has been cooking for about 35 minutes now and the potatoes are still hard.
when do you add the ginger and garlic to the mix
Came here to comment this!!
Lovely recipe, but am I missing something as 😂can't see in the video when you add the ginger and garlic?
OMG you were on Great British Bake Off, I knew you seemed familiar
YES!
Hi can you please make cook fish dishes
sure
I missed you. 🙏🏻
I hope you aren't suffering from a cold.
no
Please add recipe in description box
its on my website
Because I kind of dislike cooking at times, I messed this up. BIG STYLE. Because I was also stressing over the prep of the tomato, shallots (I didn’t have any onions) potato and Cauli, I forgot the Garlic and Ginger! 🤦🏻And also the turmeric, had to sprinkle it in towards the end. And tried to create my own Garam Masala like spice blend…. Is there an Indian name for such a disaster? 😄
Hi, Ghetna ! I love your recipe, it's original and delicious!💯 A big LIKE from me for this dish!👍👍👍 I also prepared something interesting for you, write to me how you like it. See you on RUclips!
glad you enjoyed it
where can I find the actual recipe? She does give most or the amounts but not all.
What exactly have I missed, I make sure I mention every single thing in the recipe!
where can I find the Recipe?
Hi Karen, this is the recipe and will be on my website next week
Looks so good! Love your recipes, but you SERIOUSLY need to sharpen that knife! Youre going to hurt yourself pushing that hard!
I know i know, will do
But potato takes longer to cook then cauliflower. Other wise sounds yummy.
You can add the potatoes first, or you can chop your potatoes and cauliflower so they cook in the same amount of time.
then cook potatoes first, all potato varieties are different and take different times to cook
From Durban KwaZulu-Natal South Africa
Enjoy all your recipes
You are a beautiful smart lady
NOSE RING very DISTRACTING
It’s aloo gobhi, not gobhi aloo.
seriously😂
