Just on start up I noticed a bit of diffrence. It is very well made and I wanted to get the low hanging exhaust out of there. The intake made the sound difference and sounds great. I am in Canada so with shipping and duties cost me 900 for the pair to my door. Definitely happy. If you are on Tacoma world I posted pics the other day in the 4th gen section.
Great video , question though : I’ve always heard you don’t get the gains of an intake without a tune also ? I’m skeptical the intake would actually make a difference without also tuning the ecu
If the cause is because of the air intake then yes they could deny a warranty claim. However, it’s very unlikely that this would cause any kind of failure or issues.
Charge pipes hot and cold side, cat-back exhaust, and little stage 1(91-93 oct) tune is all these trucks need. Don't know why toyota didn't give these flex fuel to take advantage of premium fuel. I understand GMs reason on the 2.7L turbomax. Stage 1 tune which is pretty much just optimizing for premium fuel would have made the 5.3L V8 not seem like an upgrade in the Silverado.
Q: If this CAI is so great and adds the HP you say it does, why doesn’t Toyota do this from the factory? A: Because this doesn’t add any additional HP; it just adds noise.
I don’t disagree but they “technically” have proof that it does. Would like to see someone do their own Dyno test to see if the 14hp increase is true. If it’s not true then it’s false advertising.
Imagine thinking this is a better designed and performing airbox than the stock one. It looks cool and sounds great, but you’re likely losing a little performance.
I did this and their trail tip exhaust a few nights ago. Nice improvement.
Hows the exhaust with the trail tip? Little louder than stock?
Dude very nice👌

@@RyanLarivee that’s awesome! What trim do you have?

Yes, you’re correct. A tune is needed for changes made. No tune means just added noises.
This adds amplified noise and that’s it. Yes if you are looking for actual HP gains you need a tune. This video title is misleading.
Kinda true. Without tune, it at least helps give a healthier turbo spool.
Best improvement you can do for the Tacoma is running higher octane fuel for the turbo engine. Stats at end.
Would this affect any factor warranty???
@@andrewhalfcab only if it contributes to failure which is very unlikely.
will this void factory warranty?

Can i use that on a hybrid trailhunter😊 thank u for the video looks great and sounds good
@@robertsabado8795 sadly it won’t fit the Trailhunter
@@MuscleAmerican thank u I went to their site and like u said not available for trailhunter dang it so bummed … love the videos as always
Where can I buy this part?
There is a link in the video description.
No tune required???
Nope!
Yes. This video title is misleading and wrong if you want actual performance gains. Installing it and making it noisey is all you’re going to get.
@@ThatCleanMT what tune did SXTH Element use?

Does this improves your gas mileage?
Haven’t noticed a difference
Have you done an exhaust yet?
Not yet, I have an axle dump I need to put on but not sure if that really qualifies.

Why put the mic in the engine bay of my head ain’t going to be in there
@@ReelNewwt the mic doesn’t do a good job of capturing what it actually sounds like. This way you can clearly hear the sound difference.
Absolutely promise you that this is NOT a 14 HP gain.
Truth. Finally someone else who has common sense. These are perfectly fine if you want to amplify the engine noise. But 14+ HP is a total lie. 😂
With a tune maybe 10whp

Why does is sounds like a diesel with the parking break on???? Lmfao!! Weak AF!!!
@@arizonaoutdoors1465 since when are diesels weak?
@ I never applied that diesels are weak. Only that this tacoma sounds like a diesel but not really moving like one…thus the parking brake reference.
