He's a genius on finding out very talented musicians and assembling them in bands with creative and unique sounds for sure. But he's very bad on keeping it up. At some point, he needs to change the musicians even in his solo career. As per shown in this interview, he gets sick of the same ppl around quite fast.
White Zombie broke up because of Rob, and they haven't reformed because of him. During their tour to support La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1, he isolated himself and grew increasingly hostile to the other members of the band. Ivan de Prume called Rob to discuss the determination within the band. Rob told him, "If you don't like it, you can quit the band." Ivan replied, "Oh, is that what you want?", and Rob replied, "F*ck you. Quit." Then he hung up.
White Zombie musicians could have gone on as a band without Rob Zombie if they had wanted to. All they needed was a better front man who was a better musician who could play instruments. Think of Iron Maiden. So many talented front men left that band but none were as good as Bruce.

Without ivan stepping up his drumming to match, it'd still just be a noise band. Rob couldn't even perform live. Sean also contributed to the artwork, so...they really could have made it with a different vocalist if they absolutely had to. White zombie really was only white zombie because of the band. As evidenced by the fact that when Rob took over too much, the band had to end and he had to put out that silly techno remix album to fulfill the contract. It's also the reason why sexorcisto is usually regarded as the best album, maybe tied with astro creep. Because of the band. When he had no band,...he had a shit album.
@@liloni444 actually just listened to an interview with Sean. They merely didn't want to keep going with a new vocalist. That option was on the table since they controlled 3/4 of the band. They were all ready to move on after having dealt with rob's bullshit for years and years. They felt that it had run its course, and that trying to force it with a new vocalist wouldn't work. I personally would have moved forward with a new vocalist. Sean said both her and Jay already had a bunch of new riffs for the next album, but Rob wanted his techno sound and was done with having to do white zombie as a band. They were supposed to be on a break for a year and get back together to resume talks about the next album, but then all of the sudden his solo album was released that year. So just because they made a decision to move on from white zombie, and leave it as it was,...doesn't mean that they weren't to primary reason white zombie kicked ass as a groove metal band.

Jay said "well then why are we even showing up?". They all knew it was going to end soon, because Rob just didn't want to be in a true band anymore. Hell as recently as like 10 years ago, ivan was asking Jay and Sean to consider voting Rob out of the band, they all still are a part of the corporation that is W.Z., and getting this vocalist from a W.Z. tribute band out of Las Vegas who can actually sing the shit live, and does a way better job than Rob ever did, and doing stuff that way. He showed me Sean's texts back saying that everyone is just done with white zombie, it's over and they never want to revisit the material again, or do anything new. So, oh well. All we get is what we got.

I’m betting that’s maybe worth checking out on Netflix on a Tuesday nite at 11pm
