    Eddie would have loved this, as a old trombone player I would have liked to hear the trom without the mute, that's all folks.

    What is this instrument?

      That is a homemade instrument, made famous by the singer Red McKenzie. It is a common pocket comb wrapped in tissue paper or newspaper, through which one can buzz a melody -- think of a kazoo -- and in the right hands, it is as hot as a cornet.
