I'm going swordfishing on the weekend with my mates I'm only 13 but seeing coops reaction made me so happy
Yeah Coops is mad about swordfishing
Hi Al great series mate fantastic filming as always. Tell me what part of the coast are you in and how far out. Cheers
These fish were a mix of Sydney Mallacoota and lakes entrance 25-40 miles from port
@@almcglashan cheets. I put my trailcraft in mostly at tunks park. Getting geard ip to troll 2 dredges this season. Hoping to get better rises.
When your talking about your wind on leader are you fishing to IGFA rules?
yes if we fish tournaments but otherwise we dont measure them precisely
Hey...for daytime sword would using mono be ok? Or does it have to be braid? Cheers man
You can use mono but you loose all sensitivity so it’s a lot harder to detect a bite
That's Richie
when does this start ?
Kicked off 5pm est
What gives the swordfish such impressive stamina to consistently fight for hours?
I think its there sheer girth that makes them so tough
Cheers for in sight. Would you consider setting the hook while the rod is in the holder IGFA legal?
You mean like trolling lures and you hook up? I’m not sure when the hook is set 500m down with the belly and weight
@@almcglashan more like when you get a bite and you wind tight and continue to wind until the rod loads up. Once tight the angler then takes the rod from the holder and places it in the harness. Im not sure if that is entirely IGFA legal. Cheers
How many kilo was she (live weight?)
That fish in the pic went 223KG from memory
Your home setting needs acoustic treatment for reverberation, difficult to understand.
Just off a mirrorless camera so its pretty poor sadly!
your room needs sound absorbing materials, drapes, rugs, wall hangings. I have a recording studio treated properly, btw.
So shellfish and unnecessary
Have a great day 🙂
