Kris this was a GLORIOUS walk through so much beauty you and your husband have created. It is breathtaking and thank you so much for sharing it with us 🌸🌸🌸
...a feast for my eyes, and food for my soul! What a gorgeous woodland garden! A little piece of Heaven, right here on Earth! (...and I could've listened to that catbird all day long!) Cindy in Maryland =^..^=
The entire garden is beautiful but omg lilies are always my comfort flower. I just love love them. This video was really good for my soul this easter weekend
What an impressive and lovely garden! The lilies and hostas are beautiful! And all the hardscaping is so well done I would have guessed it was done by a professional landscaper. I would love to see this garden again when all the peonies are blooming.
I have never in my life seen such beautiful gardens all on one property. So much work and care and devotion to plant life. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you to Kris and Garden Gate for sharing via this video.
What a beautiful garden Kris. Working a garden is soooooo meditative, and your garden is so well tended you must be unflappable! Just as in an enjoyable book, I can for a moment put myself into it, so could I into your garden. Thank you. And I love the house with its multi story wrap around porches, and subdued paint color of silverbeige bark.
I always notice how the gardeners start their tours rather uncomfortably and stiffly, but soon Kristin has them relaxed, chatty and showing their friendly personalities. Kristin is a gifted interviewer.
Enjoyed watching your amazing garden beds with different varieties of lilies, hostas and all sorts of beautiful flowering plants of different colors. You really did a great job in your garden. Thank you
Love the You Tube garden tours Garden Gate offers - the ways the gardeners discuss their plants is also educational, so we learn new ways to review plants. This is really particularly interesting for the depth Kris Jurik shares with her expertise and experiences! Love this edition of Garden Gate videos, so thanks so much.
I love all the elements of this garden. The hardscape is amazing! I wish I were Kris’ neighbor. What a great, heavenly place to get exercise! Great work Kris & Tom❤️
Gorgeous Lilly’s garden. I am just starting my ,hopefully I’ll have more , will be setting up a area just for them . Wow I didn’t realize how large your gardens are , wow. How do you keep up specially with the bugs 🐞 🐛 🐜 ?
Wondering about hostas and the deer. I see the tall fence you have erected. My friend loves hostas and has only a few because the deer eat them. I would like to plant hostas and lilies but would have to put up fencing everywhere! Your garden is so beautiful and peaceful! I can see a whole lot of work and time has been put into this garden. I have been inspired!! 🌺🌷⚘
Loved seeing the lily garden. Controlling the lily beetles must be a full time challenge. The hosta garden is beautiful. I’m curious about how the gardens are watered? There isn’t one slug holed leaf on a hosta. Thank heavens for the deer fencing.
I'm not surprised Kris said butterflies prefer open lilies which are the only ones I'll have now. Had to release several butterflies that got caught behind the petals of tighter lilies. One didn't make it, so now I'd only consider open type lilies.
Hi your garden is absolutely beautiful I was wondering I have Yellow Lillies in a large pot over the past 3 years they grow back but I really want to put them in the ground but I'm afraid they might not do well any advice I'd really appreciate it 😊
Hi Joanne! To plant lilies that have been in a container, you’ll want to separate them and space them out in the ground-they’ve probably been multiplying and will need more space. So it might be better to do that in the fall after they have bloomed and are starting to turn yellow (or very early spring just as they begin to emerge). Pull them out of the pot, tease the bulbs apart and plant them in the ground at the same depth they were growing in the container. They may be a bit disrupted and bloom less the next growing season, but they’ll take off quickly. Good luck!
I just had this video show up in my recommended list! I saw her iris video a few days ago, too. I interplant asiatic lilies with my iris to keep beautiful color so we are thinking alike, although with the size of her garden and entering flowers in shows, she is way more ambitious! Is there a place where the names of her iris and lilies are listed? For this video, do you know the name of the lily you commented on at 6:05?

Beautiful garden.

I would love to hear about her cultivation practices to have achieved such beautiful plants.
Noted!
That garden is a real labour of love. 🧡
You are right! Kris is so connected to it!
Beautiful
Thank you
You have a beautiful garden.
She really does!
If she is up for it she could plant a wild flower meadow beyond the 🦌 fencing ...very beautiful garden though, a lot of effort went into it wow!
So nice of you

The Lily beetle hasn’t come there yet! They have gotten most of mine!
Oh no!
I miss my lankon lilies! I still own my house but it's all the way in Seattle and I'm in pittsburgh
Thanks for watching. Hope you get to see your lilies soon.
@@GardenGateMagazine what sucks is they're not on the market anymore

If I could make my garden look one quarter as good looking and clean as yours I would be happy. I love the natural shaded area.
So nice of you. Thanks for watching.
🌺😍😍😍
Thanks so much 😊
The Hostas is what did it for me..
Yes, they will get you every time!
These are such beautiful gardens. It would be nice if we could see more close ups of the plants.😢
We will try to show more. Thanks for commenting.
Do peonies do well in partial shade?
You could check out tree peonies. They will bloom better in full sun but can take a bit more shade and the flowers don't fade as fast in shade.
@@GardenGateMagazine thanks so much. I will. Enjoy your day.
In the south we say Pee On knees!
Love it!
What are woodland peonies?
A type of peony that prefers shade. Grows in shaded woodlands
Hostas! Why are deers not eating them???
Kris had to put up a deer proof fence after losing several hosts over time. It was like a costa buffet!
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you for visiting!
Beautiful gardens!
